I recently had the pleasure of entrusting J D Performance Auto with the task of rebuilding my engine, and I must say, the experience exceeded all my expectations. Don at JD is phenomenal. He is a consumate professional and felt at ease leaving my Jeep with them. I got a diagnostic done at Hill Kelly and they wanted thousands of dollars to repair a book listed repair of 700. I had the infamous Jeep issue of the oil cooler. Per the dealer. Immediately called JD's and got a quote for the repair... right on book. Was going to be a few days before he could work me in but was able to take the Jeep and work on it as soon as they got the part. They took it a part and found it was a hose that had been compromised due to the turbo. Didn't need the oil cooler after all. They had already replaced it when they found the main cause for concern. They let me know that they would have not have done the replacement if they would have caught it before attaching the new one. Appreciate the attempt to be upfront with me. I would have had them replace it anyways due to the track record of those oil coolers. They had it buttoned up quickly and was able to pick it up quickly. They were a pleasure to deal with and they support the military and ensured that I got a discount. Highly recommend JD Performance Auto!

This gem of an auto shop is tucked away from the main road but do not let that steer you away!This shop has a make you feel like family kind of vibe to it.(November)My friend who used to part time here told me to bring my Subaru here when the engine began sputtering. The Subaru dealer wanted over $1000 to reseal the engine and when this shop inspected it they only found that the sparkplugs needed to be replaced. Upon paying for the service Don advised that I consider replacing the radiator soon because it was showing a slight sealant leak.(March) A loud scraping noise began one morning and after i limped home, noticed the coolant reservoir was empty! Performance Auto was right, the seal had melted and the radiator was spewing coolant. I called up Don and he squeezed me in promptly, having the vehicle fixed in 2 days, at the best price i could have asked for.Whether its minor maintenance or a major issue, you should be bringing your vehicle here!

Before I traded my cars, Don and his crew really helped me out so much with the one car that I had, that kept coming in for repairs because it was an unreliable car. They made pricing items and labor reasonable, and he reached out often along with voice-mails when I wasn't available and kept me up to do with how the car was doing. If I ever have any cars in the future that need major repairs, I'll keep coming to this shop!! Their work is great! And so Is their customer service.

I would not recommend this auto repair shop. Their website makes you believe all mechanics are certified and that they are easy on your wallet. They have one certified mechanic that works part time. My bill was double what I was expecting and the problem was not resolved. My car is running worse now than when I brought it in, 800+ dollars later.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Fast and great service. I know electrical problems aren't the easiest to do but they had my Jeep fixed right up in a jiffy. Definitely will be doing more business in the future.

OMG, what can I say.. Had to make a trip to Pensacola and my water pump went out as I arrived in SW Pensacola. I was near the shop and was able to get the car there... 2 hours later I was back on the road. Excellent service, reasonable pricing, and great attitude by all employees! If you are in the area and need any repairs I recommend them highly.

Straight up honest guys, locally and family owned. They also own Lucky Cab Company, the only cab's I would recommend in Pensacola. They've worked on, and inspected several of my vehicles, and great jobs on all of them! #supportlocal

I paid over 2k to have the seals replaced and brakes fixed. Here it is a couple months later and my truck is still leaking oil and the brakes are NOT fixed. I would pick another shop if I were you. I m extremely disappointed. I thought they would do a good job.

I trust J D Performance Auto. They know what they are doing and are honest. Did I already say that I trust them? Having a mechanic shop that you know is honest really increases one s quality of life. I don t know what I would do if I moved from the area. I bring my cars all the way from Gulf Breeze to get worked on at this shop because I know that they are honest. They will not replace parts that you don t need and they stand behind their work.

No one but Carl at Performance Auto is allowed to work on my cars. My Mini Cooper got a new motor put in - in just 5 hours!!! My daughter's Subaru Outback had over 300 000 miles when it overheated. I thought it was the end. He put in a new head gasket and it's been to Georgia and back with 0 problems since then!!! And he put a new air compressor in my family car the Tahoe so we have A/C. He knows foreign and American cars. He is THE BEST and THE FASTEST! ... ends up being cheaper by the hour. You CANNOT go wrong here.

It's a busy place. They handle some larger engine problems that a lot of them local shops won't look at. It takes a little while to get seen but overall honest hard-working people.

took a vehicle i thought about purchasing here. did the 1 hour inspection for 85 dollars. was quoted 90. prices are a little to high for me to get it fixed here, but are cheaper than pepboys.

Quoted three hours for a alternator replacement. But didn't mention that before starting even though it takes 30 minutes or less to remove it.
