Don t come here. Without any warning or sign, they are going to charge you $130 regardless if they can help you or not, just for having your car there. I talked to them on the phone a few days prior to get an estimate for the pricing & they told me around $500-600. After my car was dropped off, they called me an hour later asking over $1200. They are over priced and refuse to let you use your own parts because it takes away on how much they're able to overcharge you. They keep cars as long as possible so they re able to get every dollar possible. Go to Tires ECT. just a quarter mile down the road, the staff are friendly, & upfront about all the pricing before you have to commit & had my car done in less than 24 hours. I was able to have more than just the necessities fixed for $400 cheaper than this place who were only going to fix the absolute bare minimum. This place is shady, sketchy, and a complete rip off.

Very nice people working here.Needed work on my truck and got estimates from five other places and all of them said it would be anywhere from a week to two weeks to get me in.Went to Doug Iveys and he got me in that day and the next morning I picked up my truck and payed $250.00 less than the other places wanted.

I was told to bring my car first thing on the morning. Was there by 9:30 am. Their customer service sucked. They told me to leave my van and they would look at it as soon as they could. My husband talked to them the day before and they said they would get to it first thing in the morning. So here I am, 2 babies(a 1 and 2 yrold) thinking their gonna get to my van that morning. Well, I walk home with my kids. It was only a couple blocks, but i was told that morning, then told it could be that afternoon. I would have made better plans to get picked up. Their communication sucks. Didn't hear anything back until I called them at 2pm. Which they were kind of rude. The guy snapped at me and said "we will call you when we look at your car". I only called because it had been hours since dropping my car off for a tune up. They still hadn't looked at my car. They said they let me know how much everything would be before they do anything to my car. They called at closing, around 4:30ish, told me a price that I found to be too high for a tune up, so I went to get my car and they tried to charge me 130 to do absolutely nothing to my van. I guess they were trying to get a parking fee for the day. Lol. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Just picked my ride up from here and they done a damn fine job. Honest, reasonably priced and quick to get it fixed. This is the only place that will ever touch my vehicles from here on out. Many thanks from the guy with the old white Ford ranger with brakes problems.

Have taken my Toyota Tacoma for new alternator and just recently had my highlander broke down and towed to Doug Ivey. They are so professional and was able to get it all finished by Monday which was wonderful since it was towed late Friday. It was a much bigger issue so of course extra cost in labor and parts but compared to dealerships cost it s a no brainer. Dealership said I needed rotors resurfaced and brakes, but I didn t tell Doug who told me that, I told them someone said they needed to be done. Doug called me back and said they inspected all of that and even test drove to make sure it wasn t making noises, he told me there was nothing wrong with the brakes/rotors.My husbands coworkers also take their vehicles here and had nothing but good things to say about them. Told him dealership made this big book print out of what was wrong and needed to be done. Doug said he pays his mechanics a salary and that is huge difference because they aren t getting paid by how much they can up sell you on parts/services. Will not return to dealership because we had multiple issues every time we took our Toyota highlander and Toyota tundra to get serviced or fix something. But will be taking our vehicles for all mechanical or maintenance work to one place and one place only - Doug Ivey Automotive!Thank you Doug Ivey and your mechanics for being an honest repair shop. They are few and far between!

Highly recommend Iveys! These guys were so thorough and so transparent when performing diagnostics on my vehicle. I will be using them for all my mechanic work in the future. They treated me with respect and didn t talk down to me; which unfortunately I have experienced in this industry, but not at Iveys. My first time calling this shop in hopes of fixing my oil leak on a Saturn. Mr. Ivey said, "I don't fool with those." Confused I asked why? And he said that after 40 years he knows which cars to stay away from! I really wish he would have been more professional. I only called because Stuart's Trasmisson is only doing Trasmisson work at this time.

Always honest. Ivey's is always busy due to their good reputation. Expect to leave your vehicle for work. The workers are friendly and do an honest job.

I wish I could give no stars, I had my car towed by the company they use for their towing, they first lost my keys and key fob, after going around and around with the tow company, they finally had key made but no key fob, so now Doug the owner told me not to bring my car to his shop anymore, just because I had questions about my keys being lost by the tow company they use. He s not professional at all. Bad shop doing business. I will use this shop anymore and advise anybody not to use this shop. God bless America.Service: Electrical

Got it towed in on a Thursday to get compression checked after telling them what I repaired myself. He ran a compression test Friday morning and didn t get any deeper into the motor. Told me from the sign of oil on my new plug and 30lbs of pressure that I needed a whole new motor. Said he would give me a price and I never got a call back. I waited a week before calling just to be told I couldn t find a used or new motor so I don t know what to tell you but I personaly found a used motor here in town at Butlers in the same week of waiting. Definitely going to a more professional shop for a second opinion and I would recommend you do the same!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I took my car to two other shops before being recommended to Doug Iveys. I ve been having some issues with my car after buying it used. After taking it to Dougs it feels 100 times better. They were able to identify the problem, and replaced my water pump system and rotated the rotors on my front wheels. Picking it up was the first time I ve ever felt it drive smoothly and quietly. Needless to say I am very pleased with their services and will continue to use them and recommend them as well!Service: General repairs & maintenance

After taking my 2010 Chevy Cobalt to 4 different mechanics that could not or would not fix my car, Doug Ivey Auto fixed my car in a day. And my car still works. Would definitely use Doug Ivey's automotive for automotive repair carried a work truck to them told him I needed it back by Thursday they called me that afternoon truck was ready picked it up and left my personal truck air conditioner losing freon hard leaks to find John kept it over night called me around 10 am had found the leaks he fixed it in a day good honest people highly recommend

I would not recommend this place if you work a full time job or are in a hurry to get repairs. They turned me away an hour and half before they closed and told me to come back in 4 or 5 days. I mentioned my work schedule being full time during the week and they immediately said they couldn t help me and turned me away.

I have used a lot of mechanics over the years and they are the best. Honest, fair, and sincerely care. They have been repairing 3 of my vehicles as old as 16 years old for the last 10 years and I can only say great things about this company. You don't have that kind of consistency unless you are doing something right. Highly recommended!

Really good and honest guys to do business with. They were recommended to me and did not disappoint. It was a simple issue in getting a starter replaced which was turned around in a day at a good price. They will be my go to for any issues that come up in the future

If you're looking for a good mechanic, Doug Ivey's Automotive on Nine Mile is honestly the best place I have ever been. The customer service is amazing and has over all wonderful mechanics! I got a crappy car but you wouldn't be able to tell after I went to them!

Based on my first experience with Ivey's, I will return with future car repair needs. They charge a fair price and were polite. They seem to take customer service seriously and I felt like they would always make things right.

He has taken care of my mother's vehicle for years. He has kept my family and I warmed for years by providing the sale of Kerosene. No one else in Pensacola sells it. He is honest and fair and I can't say enough about how thankful I am for everything he has done for my family. I m sure they re a good shop and there work is probably good but from being there for less than 5 mins and getting the treatment I did was uncalled for. I was recommended to go there by Tires Etc. & an told the mechanic the problems I was having. I was basically told that I would have to drop my car off and they would work me in and tell me what was wrong. They didn t tell me what it might be didn t ask what kind of car or anything. After that and making my way towards the exit I was then told I didn t know if you were expecting to whip in here and have someone jump on your car I responded that I didn t and didn t expect him to be rude about it. They could ve had better customer service for being around so long and have so many loyal customers. Not a good way to leave a first impression about a place and trust your car with.

I had heard negative things about Ivey's but decided to go anyway. They have been a long time established business and if I'm correct, my father in law knows the Iveys. I took my car in for a new starter; they gave me a good price and got my car back within a day. Great, right? Ten minutes down the road my car overheated, they'd forgotten to refill the radiator fluid AND my car still may or may not crank. Not a good experience at all.
