Work varies from good to passable. Never had bad work from this shop. Took a sbc 350 for clean, inspect, bore, and hone. It took 4 weeks for it to get done but I didn't need it immediately so thats fine. I get a call that its done and when I said I would be over in a day or so to pick it up the service manager gave me attitude and stated he was trying to get all the finished work out before end of the month. So my work takes 4 weeks but I get attitude if I can't pick it up in 24 hours?In addition, when when I pick it up, bearings and plugs were installed 23$ for parts and 50$ labor after I expressly said I did not want them. After doing a good amount of business here this is my second bad experience (identical) in a row. I wont be going back.Service: Motor building

I do not recommend this company to anyone. I took a block to be refaced, and when i picket it there was still a lot of corrosion. in the valve cylinder there were chips that with time they will only get bigger or crack the block. Requested a refund and they would not give you a refund. I asked them to correct it and they wanted more money.

These guys were very friendly when I walked in and had my flywheel resurfaced and back to me within an hour of dropping it off. The price was especially pleasing, coming out cheaper than the average prices I've seen online for $80-$125, these guys did an EXCELLENT job for less than half of that. Definitely check them out if you need any machine work done.

I took my 3.0l boat motor down here and found excellent service for a fair cost. They factor appropriate charges for labor and parts prices are also fair. I would tell anyone to go here because this business understands what QA means, it s going above and beyond the actual service.

Friendly and knowledgeable service writer and machinists. My work was completed quickly and properly at a good price. Burke's will be getting all my future work.

Horrible service!!!! Took heads in to be checked and machined. Got them back not sealed/seated properly and cams in the wrong position. When other shops told me not to use them I should have listened. Won't happen again. COMPLETELY GARBAGE!!!!!I am in the process of building a race engine and I was told good things about this shop. Took my block to get bored .040 over, have my JE Pistons fitted for the bores, have the block hot tanked and all the galley plugs replaced, and have my Rings File Fitted. First off, the Frickin Oil feed port on the block getting oil from the oil pump was completely BLOCKED OFF WITH A GALLEY PLUG. My Race engine would have been completely DESTROYED within monent's after start up because the oil pump can't supply any oil. Not only that but the bores were tapered to a degree that could potentially destroy my engine so I got Davids Machine out in Tillmans Corner to fix everything. I asked to have my Top Ring at .019" and the second Ring set at .020". I get my block back and it looked great. I check my ring gaps and the top rings varied anywhere from .016" to .023", and my 2nd ring was anywhere from .023" to .030!!! Not only that they only used One piston and fit each ring to that piston and only 1 cylinder! Also the rings were not even square at the end. They did do an excellent job cleaning the block however. I have not yet checked the piston/cylinder clearances yet and Im not looking forward to it. Do not take your stuff here if you need precise work!

Brought my head in to get resurfaced and cleaned they then forgot to put a cam plug make in so now I have to disassemble my top end because in a vw it s complicated to just throw inService: Engine repairService: Engine repair
