I was a little scared walking up because of the area, but I listened to the reviews online and was immediately greeted by the owner. He was super friendly and explained thoroughly how to fix my car and how much it would be and exactly why. It would have been double the cost of labor somewhere else, so glad I went to Balkum instead

It is SO HARD to find a reliable, & reasonably priced mechanic. But after reading the reviews, we decided to have our car towed from a prominent business across town that quoted us at LEAST 2 grand, & a week & a half turnaround "hopefully". Robert was a GODSEND!!! He stayed in constant contact, keeping us posted along the way, & even worked on it over the weekend to have it ready for the work week. Saved us over a thousand dollars by not fixing what wasn't broken, & had it done in 3 days. We will NEVER take our cars anywhere else!!!!

Hands down this is the best automotive place in the entire world.They are not only very honest but kind and fairly priced.They are fully responsible for saving my day today. Originally we took our vehicle to get timing change repaired. We paid them in full for the amount the son said it would cost. The son kept our car for weeks, never answered any of our calls and my husband had to physically show up to the shop in order to get answers. The son was more concerned about fixing his race car and never fixed what he said he would and what we had already paid thousands of dollars for. Seven and a half months of taking our car back to them for repairs the son swears he fixed. Then, we ended up needing even more repairs bwe never needed because the son caused more damage to our vehicle and never fixed it. We ended up taking our car to a different shop where it was discovered that parts were missing and the car had never been touched by the son and what he did touch he put into our vehicle backwards. I do not recommend Balkums. Now they won't pay us back the money they were paid and won't answer phones. Courts will have to deal with them.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Engine repair

Best corvette shop in Pensacola. Highly recommend having your vette worked on here. Robert and Brian do a excellent job. Very reasonable and fair. They also do all vehicles and makes of cars and trucks as well. Sorry I made a mistake. Robert tau automotive is who I was referring too. Had work on car at Balkum and they were reasonable and fair as well.

My AC stopped working and I couldn't figure out what it was. The low pressure line was fine, so I took my car to Balkum and left it with them. After troubleshooting the car they found out it was just a relay that burnt out. Charged very fair pricing after having the car for approx 24 hours.

I'm new to Pensacola and needed my 2004 Honda Accord worked on. I dropped my car off with a bad rattling sound in the exhaust system. Balkum called back about 20 minutes later and said it was the catalytic converter. They quoted me a fair price and had it replaced in about 2 hours. These guys are fast, fair and trustworthy. I will definitely be taking my vehicles here!

This place is horrible! When my car left it smelled like a dead rat. It took so long to to get the car back because the son who does the work spent more time working on his race car than customer cars. He is a veteran like myself but the service sucks. At your Own Risk

They are really good people they know what they're doing they're really friendly and I have not ever had a problem with them anytime they have fixed my car my daughter's cars or any of my friends Cars I really do recommend you go there

Inexpensive and great service. I was traveling through and my CV axle was pretty bad. They put aside their current work to take care of mine. I had got the wrong part. He gave me a ride to the store to get the right part.

Honest, reasonably priced and friendly!!!! This is the only place I will ever take my vehicles ever again. And I have 5 kids driving, so we will keep them busy!! Lol

I recently broke down in Pensacola, when I searched google I found a pic of a former U.S Soldier name Mr. Balkum and decided to seek his help in getting my VW Jetta repaired. His shop diagnosed that my clutch needed replacing along with the release bearing and slave cylinder. Well as the dismantled my car to reach the clutched they noticed 2 more parts were also needed and called me to let me know as well as gave me price, he also had a mechanic show me the old clutch and parts so I could see what they looked like.. after he gave me the total price I went online and googled those parts..also called some other shops for quotes... Mr. Balkums price was way more than fair compared to other places and the price he charged me for parts was cheaper than online. My whole experience with Balkum Auto was completely astonishing... not only was he and his staff professional and courteous, but he was also fair and communicative to me thru the whole process.... He is definetly worth this 5 star rating.. And I sincerely thank him for not only the service he provided in fixing my car, but also for serving our country. Thank you!

Had an engine misfire, Balkum had it fixed the next day for a reasonable price. Good work, fair price, Balkum will do you right.

It's been a minute since I went here but when I did I would say I really like the service they dont try to get over on you and the Sargent works with you as much as possible to make it as budget friendly as possible.

Straight forward polite they dont just do good work but actually walked me threw what was going on and the steps they took to resolve the problem fair price and now my permanent mechanic shop
