Poor service I drive all the way from Alabama on vacation and wanted some quality sound installed plus I was going to buy everything from there, he looked like I wanted to rob him just because he was in the facility alone.If you running a business and you a customer wanting service don't run them away just because your scared.

Made an appointment (2014Tundra) and the service tech was a savage. Jumped right on it and we was done in the window he said. The radio install was super clean and there isn't any hiccups at all. We'll definitely be coming back with my wife's car.

Incredible work, dedicated, and honest. I had him work on and repair my hair horn system and not only repaired it but made it better than it was before. Anything regarding sound systems, or truck accessories this is the place I m coming to! Hands down!

Excellent from start to finish! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade navigation system. We had Toyota navigation but they no longer upgraded. Not only did we get an upgrade but it is way beyond what we had.

Haven t been satisfied at all. Ordered a top of the line radio and this things has caused so many problems. This was installed in Dec with the wrong kit. Made something work so I could at least travel with it. I then paid for the right kit. Yet to receive that. Said second kit that came in was wrong again after having my truck for a full day. Said he would order the correct one again. Haven t heard back from him. Called a few times with no answer. I ve paid for two kits to still have something random holding it together. Radio disconnects when plugged into car play at random. Told me it was because of my cord but I ve replaced it and it still does it. Scratched my dash. Said he fixed it but basically just threw a little paint over it. Still very much visible. Glovebox scraps the upper part now when closing. Not sure if it s because he ran the thicker cord through it or what. Kinda like closing a extension cord in a door. Had to force it close every time we opened it. Had him move it to come out from my center console. Radio sticks way out from dash. I was not aware of that when I ordered it. Thought it sat in the same place as older one. If I would have known this before hand I would have picked something different. Also I didn t know that I would not be able to no longer use my usb plug for my truck. I guess I was expecting some top notch work from them with all the reviews that I ve read and pics on Facebook. Now I need to find someone to actually fix this.**Update to the reply**Thank you for your reply.I do understand that COVID has played a role with businesses having to work around. But this was taking place before COVID.This is not the first time you have heard about this and I have asked question about the installation the first and second time my truck was there.The kit might be cosmetic but it is something I have paid that I never received. I actually paid for 2 kits. So the while it is merely cosmetic to you I would like for it to look good and have the products I have paid for. The radio is attached in the dash and is not lose by no means. But as everyone can see by the pictures it doesn't look good.When I picked my truck up the first time I asked about it sitting so far out from the dash and I really didn't like that. I was told no worries that once the correct kit was installed it would sit back further but it would still stick out some. I was not told this is how it would look prior to purchase. I also asked why the cord was coming from my glovebox. I was told that had to be there. I was also not told this prior to purchase.The second time I brought my truck in for the correct kit I reminded them of the scratch, asked why it was dropping from airplay, and asked that cord to be moved because my glovebox wasn't closing correctly. After my truck being there all day I was told my cord must be the reason it continues to drop from airplay ( I have to plug my cord into the radios cord that was coming from the glovebox) I told them I have tried different cords and was told it didn't do it there so they are not sure. The scratch that was"fixed" had a little paint brushed on it. The radio cord was moved to a better location.What accommodations where there again? The first time my truck was there and the kit was wrong and my dash was scratched? Or the second time I dropped it off for the day and still didn't receive the second kit I paid for? I understand that you are very busy with other customers while your past customer that has paid has still been waiting.I have called asking for my dash kit and have waited for calls. I have been accommodating in waiting for this to be resolved. I had heard so many positive reviews to have my radio looking the way it does. I was somewhat shocked that this is what you have put your name on and sent it out the door. I have contacted another business and was told that there wasn't an actual dash kit for my truck for this style radio. So now I'm debating if I have been lied to and you didn't want to tell me to refund me or what.

Extremely Rude, Unprofessional and Disrespectful!While attempting to hold Bill Sommer (the owner) to his word on the services previously promised (but not captured on the invoice), he began to talk down and belittle me during an unnecessary argument. At one point he asked my age, as to prove some point, implying that I am a child.I'm sure they would have done a fine job, had he not totally loose it, freak out and refuse to do business with me. He was unwilling to hear the customers point of view, or come to a compromise in achieving the common goal.Among many other unbelievable reasons, the whole situation was so unprofessional and disrespectful! I will never do business with them again, nor would I recommend anyone else.

So happy that they did not try up sell me! I just needed speaker replacement, they checked the inside and outside of my car prior to verify any existing issues (great idea). They were fast friendly and affordable. I will for sure come back if I decide to upgrade to some serious equipment.

Bill is a a professional who cares about his customers. Shares his knowledge and opinions but ultimately leaves it up to the customer. Installed a pioneer deck and two door speakers. Looks great, sounds great. I will see him for all of my stereo needs. Highly recommend.

I recently upgraded the sound system in my truck (F250) to incorporate GPS mapping and back up camera capabilities. Until now I had add ons and wires all over my dash and windshield.I received outstanding service both in the selection and installation of components. I wanted to make a couple of configuration changes after installation and the Owner and technicians responded immediately to create a perfectly tailored system.I am completely satisfied and highly recommend Sommer Sound. I will definitely return for my next project.

Just had a Subwoofer, amp, and 2 rear door speakers installed. I was amazed at the sound quality that came from what they set up. They definitely sell quality brands of car audio equipment. The installation was very clean and completed in a timely manner. I am very impressed. The staff was very knowledgeable about all the products and what to expect. Best part, was that they did not try and push me to buy something I didn t need or the most expensive items. They gave recommendations and let me decide what I wanted done. I would definitely use them again for my car audio needs and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their audio system. Thanks Sommer Sound Systems.

Great service! I needed a 50 amp AGU fuse and this was the only place I could find near me that carried one. They have a really nice shop too! I would not hesitate to do business with them.

I called before their business hours and Jose was very professional when he answered my call and was very helpful at guiding me twords fixing my radio problem . I will definitely use them in the future if I have questions or need service.. 5 stars from me for professionalism...

Installed a dvd player in my wife s suburban. 5 years later still works great! Great people and great workers. I ve been delivering to them for 5 years as a Ups driver and they are always nice and cordial. I would definitely recommend to anybody!

I went into sommer sound on march 26th and put a down payment on a sub to put into my car. I was set to have it installed on april 18th, Once the pandemic really took off at the beginning of april all non essential businesses were forced to shut down for about 2-4 weeks, and so on april 6th or 7th i received a text message stating that they would reschedule but they didnt know when and that i would be called eventually. I was not contacted until May 27th, this was my initial contact with the company since march 26th when i went in to the showroom, when we talked he stated that he could schedule it for early june, i stated that at that point i had my hours cut and was no longer able to afford the other $600 that i wouldve had to pay for the system and for it to be installed, he said that he would not refund me and that he held the items for me the entire time (while he was closed) and was not able to sell the item and that he would at most give me store credit. I issued a dispute with my card company hoping that i would not be out $220 seeing as i have bills to pay. well it has been 6 months and he won the dispute because i did sign a paper stating that there was no refund so it is understandable that i lost, but it just goes to show how heartless the owner is as i had already stated to him that my hours had been cut because of covid, i work in a hotel and travel was down and i could not afford to lose $220 and he still refused. The owner is a bad person and should be ashamed of himself.Edit: please note that i did try to contact him after the dispute was lost and he completely ignored my calls and my email that i sent him through his website. I did not leave a voice-mail i simply stated i called and it doesnt change the fact that you are a bad person, your small business can get loans for payroll and stuff, I dont get loans because of the pandemic, good way to shrug it off bud.

Was going to do a speaker swap in my truck. Ends up my front doors needed a spacer. Without buying speakers or paying for an install by Sommer Sound, Bill hooked me up and helped me finish my project. I had also bought a Kenwood head unit from them in the past, with an install, and it was perfect way past when I sold the truck. Good Products and a Helpful Staff!

Sommer Sound's staff were very knowledgeable and professional when I was shopping for a replacement head unit and new backup camera for my vehicle. The three areas of service that impressed me the most were:1. Excellent service while in the store shopping / evaluating what to purchase.2. Prompt callback by phone when I had additional questions.3. Great installation work.

EDIT I got some clarity. I m not going to trash anybody for anything but I have been trying to come to this place about different stuff for my car for almost a year now most of the time when I call I don t get anything today I got a message system finally saying it s by appointment only but all I want done is to see how to turn my radio back on because I just had to replace my alternator and I just want to know if they broke my radio or not I don t feel like I need to wait 2 weeks to see if they even broke my radio or not just trying to get answers and I never have been able to I will 100% change this review once I get some feedback I just wanna have some clarity

Went in for assistance with a stereo install and seeking a removal tool and pigtail connector. Clerk while was busy assisting other customers took forever to acknowledge me and was rude when I asked. If im not spending hundreds on audio equipment obviously your not interested in my business. I'll buy my subs and amp elsewhere.

About three weeks ago I went in to Sommer Sound with a general idea of what I wanted done to my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. I talked directly with Mr Sommer and within minutes figured out the exact box, sub's, and amp to fit my needs. Luck would have it that he had a large cancellation shortly before I walked in and they were able to knock out my entire setup within 2 hours. Everything is amazing, the staff was incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, personable, and professional. I plan on returning to them for any car audio or video needs I have!!

Without a doubt the best stereo spot in town. Josh is the most knowledgeable car sterio/audio professional I have ever met and he is up to date on every brand, new feature and so much more. He is the only person I will go to from Pensacola to Jacksonville. Sommer Sound has a great reputation and it's well earned and deserved. Cant wait for my new system to be installed. They offer top quality products and they are 100% straight shooters. Honest, professional and just fun to be around... this is the ONLY car audio stop ANYWHERE in the panhandle.

I have a high-end car that I have worked on at a performance shop here in PC. They(speed shop) referred me to these guys and thank god. I had been to several other "stores" that tried to shove the only stuff they had in stock on down my throat while the others looked at my car as if it was the first time they had seen one! Not a confident feeling when you put ALOT of $$$ into your baby. These guys not only knew what they were doing, they were professional as well. Good products good service. Thanks! All I wanted was to replace factory speakers. What a nightmare! In 2017 my wife bought new speakers for me as mine were terrible and sounded blown, bad rattle/vibaration etc. We scheduled to apt 6-8 in advance. When I took my car in I told them I wanted to reduce the rattle and replace my stock speakers. Sound easy? I thought so...This has been a huge fiasco, I had to take it back at least 8-10 times, once after they were done putting the door back together, I couldn't even open the door. I had to climb over from the passenger side, and leave it there overnight (this was after they said it would only take a couple hours, I was there for 9 hours and left with out my car). My truck button on the door was broken, "not our fault"...After multiple visit to fix the rattle, I gave up...fast forward 10 months, the drivers door speaker stops working...as much as I didn't want them to work on my car again, at least it's warrantied. So...I took it back, one of their wires came loose and they "fixed" it. Now a month after being "fixed" the same speaker is popping and cutting out!! UNREAL! They didn't even have the speakers for the back, that were supposed to be replaced. I thought that's why I called nearly two months in advance so they could have everything they needed. This place is a joke.

These guys know what they are doing! I went in to determine why my amp wiring setup (previously installed) in my truck wasn't working. Within 10 minutes Mr. Sommer came back and told me what the problem was and gave me a few options to resolve the issue. Jason wired my amp, rewired my sub box to be more powerful, and had everything up and running in 45 minutes. Very professional. I will not go anyplace else for car/marine audio/video/security. Don't bother shopping around at shops that come and go, these guys have been here and will remain here for a long time to come.
