As a female, I really appreciate these guys checking the car out properly before giving me a diagnosis, and not jumping to conclusions to freak me out into spending more money, or searching for other problems to stress me and my pocket out like a lot of mechanics are doing nowadays; they fixed the problem I went there for and didn't over-complicate. They worked fast and I got my car back in no time. They also went above and beyond and called and checked with my car's dealership about open recalls I might be eligible for and informed me about them. Now my car is running great. I'm impressed. Thanks again guys; I really appreciate you. Thumbs up all the way.

I was able to get a same day appointment for an oil change today. I come here for new tires or to get them patched when possible. They do good work and offer fair prices. I feel very comfortable leaving my vehicle in their capable hands

I have a leaky sunroof and I went to this place highly recommended. But my experience was different. Not sure if he was the owner ( Ricky) . I talked with Ricky over the phone and told him about the problem and he indicated to bring the car over and he will take a look at it immediately. When I arrived basically he refused to take a look at my car like he said he would.From then on I did not Trust him. You want to support small business, (mom and pop) but with his behavior and lack of Customer Service I went to My dealership. This place was antiquated. At least change the magazines from the 70's will you.

I stopped in for an alignment & Rick called & told me both upper arm control bars needed 2 be replaced & quoted me at about 750$ - I called PepBoys they quoted me $1,150 & Firestone quoted me $950 & both would take 3 days to a week to fix! I was appalled.RICK WAS SO KIND TO ME AS WELL! He was lovely to talk with & I asked many questions & he answered politely & respectfully.They also got the parts order & installed within 1 DAY!I will ONLY be using this shop from now on!Thank you Rick & Team for making my day!

Hewitt's was amazing today! I called Ricky at 8 o'clock this morning and he told me to bring my car up asap. They called me after about an hour and told me what they 100%had to get done today to keep me safe while driving and what I could wait on. I had my car back by 12:30. They were very quick and Ricky was the best to deal with. He was very kind and funny! He was cutting jokes the whole time I interacted with him! My car is so much better and will be even more so when I take it back for other work. I will go here from now on. Very professional, very quick, and not trying to hassle you out of unnecessary fixes.Services: Auto brake repair, Brakes, Auto brake replacement

Ricky and staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable, they take time to explain everything to you and answers all your questions.. You can't beat both their professional services and, or prices..As a female I absolutely highly recommend Hewitt's for all of your auto repairs and tires, their the most honest crew ,and will not take advantage of you....

I went to them to get back brake shoes. They told me I needed shoes,axle seals, and new wheel cylinders. They are very expensive. I went ahead and had the work done anyway because I was already there. The next day I bought 3 brand new tires. The tire shop said all my lug nuts were hand tight and one was not even touching the rim. I called and let Hewett Tire & Auto Center know and they were very nice and apologetic. Maybe they had a new guy working on my van. They were very personable. They were expensive.

Absolute worst customer service from Rick at the front desk. I will NEVER go back here, and will tell everyone I know to make sure they never make the same mistake I did. The technician who works at Hewetts has a heart of gold, and is the sweetest. But Rick will be the reason why this place loses so many customers.

I think they do good work, but they should be specific in what everything means, when quoting a price for new tire replacements. I left feeling I had been over charged, because my bill for that task was higher than the quote. I think they are too pricey in general. My relatives like them. They recommended this place. The owner and receptionist are friendly and personable. My car is running good now.

Ricky to guy at the counter is a little rude and unwelcoming. When I dropped my car off first thing Monday morning for my appointment, I asked when I would here something back he assured me by that afternoon that I would here something. By Wednesday afternoon still haven't heard from him. Car is just sitting in the lot. That afternoon I call them and they said they couldn't find anything wrong on Monday when they looked last. They said they will look again. Ricky said come back Thursday at 3:30. If we can fix it we will have it done then. I come back nothing else has been done to solve the problem. Ricky does go over couple of things that needed fixed. I told him I'm not a mechanic I don't know what these things are. He didn't know either and had to go into shop and ask someone. He then said I need to fix them. They didn't try to fix the problems at all. They didn't want my business. I felt like I was being pushed out the door and take my business elsewhere. The shop might be great but it seems like Ricky might have been the problem. A simple call on Monday telling the whats going on then describing the other problem and how long it would take them to fix would have been the best thing in my eyes as a customer to do.

Terrible customer service! Rick needs a day off! He is in-believably rude! Don t care who they screw out of a few dollars, and they ll definitely do it if you re a women.If you want an honest mechanic that will keep you updated and actually treat you like a customer, google mechanic near me and go anywhere but Hewwett Tire and Auto.As a local business owner, I know that what keeps my business running, is the customers. Treat them with respect and honest work and they ll return. I ll never come back here, and I will make sure that nobody I know, does either.Service: Tires

Ran into a bit of a problem and came back into the shop and talked with the MANAGER and he got everything worked out! Manger was very respectful! While on vacation I found my tire to be flat. (Easy fix right??) wrong!!! I went to 3 different large chain locations and was treated terribly by the staff... sat in my car and began searching for someone to help me out. I finally found Hewett s. I called and spoke with Ricky who was very helpful and told me to come on. As my luck would have it, the tire could not be fixed. Fortunately Hewett s was prepared to ensure my tire was replaced and I could safely return 6 hours home without worrying about my tire. I definitely recommend Hewett s. Do not fall for the chain company thinking they care about their customers, you will be disappointed.

I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for repairs. To go here. If you re looking to get your vehicle repaired in 20 minutes. It won t happen. They are not a slap and go shop. They put the highest quality work into every repair. I went in for my two front struts and brake pads all the way around. They didn t just throw new pads on. They completely resurfaces my drums and rotors. Along with putting high quality parts on my vehicle. I couldn t be more happy about getting my truck back. Before you take your vehicle somewhere else. I strongly encourage you to go see Bill at Hewitt tire.Fair pricing and high quality work.

HONEST MECHANICS. For my money, this is the best shop in Bay County. They are upfront about their rates and prices, which are reasonable. They will explain them if you want. They contact you if they find anything else wrong, they are quick and stick to their estimates of both money and time. They save your parts in case you want them. They are thorough and meticulous. They are helpful and knowledgeable. Their advice has not let me down yet. I do a lot of my own work but anytime I have something that I cant or don't want to do myself to my vehicles I go to Bill's shop and his shop only because I know I can trust the work that gets done.

Great service. Great communication and fair pricing! I m a master tech in Atlanta and would recommend this business to everyone. Hands down great work. Had a tire going flat nearby this location while waiting for wife to get out of surgery. These guys understood the urgency and even though they were busy, quickly helped to get a tire replaced and back to surgery center in time to pick up my wife from recovery. Fast, friendly, professional, I can't say enough good things about these folks. I had never been there before but will be coming back.

Went in for an oil change, alignment, and exhaust rattling issue. They diagnosed the exhaust rattle pretty quick, but didn't do anything to fix it. Alignment was a nightmare... Because their "machine" states my car does not specify front camber/caster adjustments they couldn't do anything. So I basically paid for an alignment that was the EXACT SAME as when I drove in, I know this because I had to ASK FOR THE PRINTOUT TWICE. I brought my own oil and filter for the change which I explained to the guy at the front desk, he acknowledged. When I walked out to see how the oil change was going the tech was NOT using my oil, he said nobody told him I brought my own oil. Overall I was at this place for a little over 3 hours and all I got for it was better knowledge of a muffler rattle and oil that I didn't want in my car... Waste of a $116.00 plus the cost of my oil/filter. Oh... Forgot to mention the steering wheel... They said my steering wheel was off, so they adjusted that and now my steering is extremely loose and not as responsive.

The folks at Hewett Tire and Auto got my truck in and changed all four tires, performed a front end alignment, did a basic suspension inspection and had the truck ready for pick up all in one afternoon. The price was comparable to competitors, but the scheduling was more convenient than other places. I was running close to closing time to pick up my truck so the desk team called me to check if I was coming. They ended up staying after closing time for several minutes to allow me to get my vehicle.

If I could put no stars I absolutely would. Please read as I explain. I came into Hewitt and told him I needed a diagnostic check because my car was staying in high rmp, making a loud raffle noise, my traction control kept slipping off and my tire rotors were bad. I left my car for two weeks and he called me 3 days in and told me I needed 4 new motor mounts and my total would be 1,000$ then he calls me 6 days in and says he was wrong that I only needed one rotor and break pads and my total would be 700$ Then called the next day to tell me something completely different. They had absolutely no idea what was wrong because they aren t equip to fix cars or anything for that matter. I then go to pick up my car and he said he couldn t fix the traction control because he didn t know how. I then asked him how to get my service engine light off and he googled how to do it RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE. This is horrible service. They are rude and SO UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE. And not to mention my car Is still messed up today.

HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO HERE! I would not recommend them at all! My brother was in an accident due to brake failure and my family thought they could be trusted. Hewett's checked them out and declared everything was fine and then my brother had the brakes fail AGAIN! Took it to someone else and they found the problem - his ABS system was not working AT ALL! They almost cost him being in another accident. Working brakes can determine life or death and they did not check them thoroughly. Also when the car was called about to be checked on, the tech said he didn't even know if the car was there or not and it WAS! If you don't even know if a car is on property, that is total gross negligence. Recommending no one use them. Just taking people's money, endangering them by not doing their job and not even sure if they have your car or not! Ridiculous!

Extremely slow. Called 4 days early to make sure they could see me at 1:00 to get 2 new tires. Didn't take my car back until close to 3:00 and then when they finished (@5:00) they had put 4 new tires on. I only needed 2 new ones, the other 2 only had a couple thousand miles on them. I had to wait another 45 minutes for them to put my other tires back on. Ended up sitting there for almost 5 hours to get 2 tires and front end alignment. The people were very nice and I think they did a good job but I won't be going back.

Stopped in at Hewett Auto Center for tires late in the work day. They quickly found what I was looking for and expertly put a couple of tires on my car. I will be returning for my auto service/repair needs. I think I might have met Mr. Hewett many years ago when he worked at another repair shop. Glad to do business with him again.

Since Hurricane Michael it's been difficult to find a good service center. I had two major car problems on two different cars in the past 2 months. When my car broke down, I asked the tow truck driver if he knew of a good auto mechanic and he suggested Hewitt Tire and Auto. It was kind of pricey but they did go over all of the details on it with me and made suggestions for future repair. I was satisfied with their work and when my son's car broke down I had it towed to Hewitt. Again the job was pricey, however, rebuilding a transmission always is!!Both cars are running good now and in the hope that they will last until new cars can be purchased. Hewitt has a friendly informative staff, they don't pull any punches and they make sure to give you the best quality for your money. So, I would recommend Hewitt Tire and Auto because they're honest an upfront.

went in for oil change x 2 cars. greeted as i entered was promptly helped. i explained my needs and my car was taken into the service area in a matter of minutes. when completed i picked up car 2 a few miles away again promptly serviced. check out was also smooth with explanation of return interval. all staff very friendly and helpful. i definately would recomend them, and will return for next service!!

Customer service was horrible!They will not call you when your car is done!And god forbid you gotta call and ask for an update, Rick will make you feel like you re in the wrong for just needing to know an update on your car.Here s an idea, when you tell a customer something, do it! Don t let there car sit there!

Great service! Worked on my car and my husbands truck. Quick service, good diagnostics and a reasonable price. Hewett's was recommended by a good friend who has been using them for many years. Highly recommendable!!

The owner took care of my car personally, he took time to look over my car and write down all the damage done by the hurricane. He gave me a date to bring the car in so he could start the repair. He called me two days before the date he gave me and told me to bring my car in. When I arrived he took my key and pulled my car in and started my repairs. I am very pleased with his repair shop.

They were so nice. They squeezed me in right away to take a nail out of my tire. I had been to 3 other places and was told I would ha be to wait anywhere from 4-6 hours. I just want to say "Thanks guys, you made my stressful day, a lot less stressful."

I'm in Illinois and called them, spur of the moment, to help one of my customers that had an issue while vacationing. Heather answered the call and took them in immediately without hesitation. I found them because we are both AAA approved repair facilities and they did not disappoint. Thanks so much to the crew at Hewett, you guys are awesome.
