The Oaks RV Resort and Motel was such a nice place to stay! We have family that are staying in the RV park and we were visiting them. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Lou, who owns the place with her husband Bob, was fantastic!! I would highly recommend staying here and soaking up the abundant Florida history that is all around there.

This is a beautiful park. Unlike many of the Florida parks with bare gravel 'parking lot' set-ups, there are trees and landscaping everywhere. We use a lot of state parks, so the pads were closer than we're used to, but all the foliage and the fact the pads are not in precise rows makes it feel private and peaceful. The hosts take care of you from back-in (or pull-through) and their park is meticulously maintained. This is a lovely area with lots of activities but we came for biking, so here goes: the most beautiful trails we've ridden on, the park is at the intersection of THREE trails - you just hop on right from camp. One trail goes along the shore and ends at a little, quiet beach - about 2.5 miles. Perfect for a quick ride any time of day. Sunrise is gorgeous. One trail goes all the way to Tallahassee - 40 miles. We rode to a farmer's market one day, and bought fresh crab right from the boat another day. The third trail goes almost entirely through national forest/state forest and is another long trail. The first stop, at ten miles, is Sopchoppy, and we were here for the famous Worm Gruntin' Festival which was a blast.Beautiful park, gracious hosts, and Worm Gruntin'! What more could you ask for? We camped at The Oaks RV Resort And Motel in a Travel Trailer.

Cozy, ideal budget motel with a beach cabin vibe just steps away from the bay. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and there's coffee, a fridge, microwave, beach towels, high functioning air conditioning unit, and plenty of washcloths. Lou is friendly and prompt in responding to needs. There's a jacuzzi hot tub and pool on property as well.Nearby activities: Two restaurants nearby, ice cream shop and gas station/ convenience store across the street

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's an older motel but it's very quaint and very clean and very pleasant. It was quiet and had a great pool and hot tub. And the owners are fantastic. They are very nice and accommodating. If I lived closer I would go there once in a while just to get away and enjoy myself with the peace and quiet and the pool. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience. We couldn't be happier.Rooms: The rooms are very quaint comfortable and most importantly clean.Nearby activities: This is also very close to a beach. It's very nice here.

We live in a motorhome and stayed at the Oaks rv park. Bob and Lou were gracious innkeepers, very accomidating, park extra clean, huge shady oaks, tropical feel, good space between sites, and short walk to the river. We will be back next visit to the panhandle.

1,000% recommend! Mrs. Lou was so nice and accommodating! I couldn't ask for better customer service! We stayed in Room 11 with 2 Queen beds and it was huge! Large walk in shower! Pool and hot tub as well. I love that there are actual sheets and blankets and not those weird hotel blankets. You know the ones. I would definitely recommend a stay here. And you can even do 1 night instead of the usual 2 night minimum.

My husband and I stay here every year for our anniversary. We love it, the rooms are clean and comfortable, Lou is extremely helpful, it is quiet, and close to everything (Gulf of Mexico, the Bay, St. Mark's Lighthouse, the State Park, Crawfordville, and more). Last year, my parents started joining us and now they're hooked and can't wait each year to go back.

This is an older motel with an RV park behind it. The rooms while older have been totally redone and are charming and clean. The grounds are lovely and well kept. There is a nice pavilion and wonderful pool and hot tub. The owners are the nicest people and you can tell they strive to make sure you have a great stay. The only negative I can say is the shower in our room was tight and had little water pressure. We were not expecting the Hilton so this was not a big deal. Price was fair and we love the area. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely the most fun and relaxing little weekend getaway! This renovated roadside motel is an absolute GEM! Sparkling clean pool, beautiful plants and oak trees. Lots of places to picnic on the grounds but walking distance to great seafood. This motel is not fancy, it s better than that! It s nostalgic with vintage charm, extremely clean and cozy! Spend a day at Bald Point State Park just over the bridge. We loved the remote check-in option. Great price too!

We are so thankful to have discovered the The Oaks Motel for a one night stay on our way to the Forgotten Coast! The rooms are recently renovated, and offer all the necessities one might need for a comfortable night's rest. When it comes to the price, we were shocked at what a reasonable rate the room came with on a Saturday night. Also, the owners are informative, and easy to talk to. We would love to stay there again, and be able to experience 2 of the incredible restaurants that are within walking distance!

Found this place by accident and we were really glad we did. It's a small campgrounds but it has big values. The owners are great and will help you out with anything they can. They have a very nice pool and hot tub. There bathrooms and laundry room was nice and clean. Will definitely stop in there again on our way out west.

My husband and visited The Oaks RV Resort today and met the owner, Bob. We were impressed with how clean and beautiful the grounds were. This restoration of an older motel, along with the new RV Resort is top- notch in quality and hospitality. Everything has been done with class and style. This is not just a camp ground, it is "fine camping" at it's best,...and they are not even completed yet! Special thanks to Bob for the extra time you shared with us, your words of encouragement did more than you know.Mark & Sherri

This is our second stay at The Oaks RV Resort and Motel. We were here in July for one week and came back August 31--again for one week. Bob and his wife Lou are very hospitable and do everything possible to make sure you're comfortable with your site. The RV sites are spaced appropriately; with a picnic table for each site. I appreciate the natural, woodsy setting. Bob and Lou are onsite all day, still working to renovate the motel rooms, etc. I am a native Tallahassean, so I do remember the Oaks Restaurant and Motel from years ago. Bob has done a remarkable job, and is still working on the park and the motel. I highly recommend staying here. We actually own a rv lot at Carrabelle Beach, but rent it out sometime; so, enjoy coming over here to "this neck of the woods" and staying at the Oaks. Restaurants across the street--Tropical Trader Seafood and Angelo's Restaurant. Also, Panacea (about 4 miles down the road) has Posey's and also Seinyard's at Rock Landing. Nice area! This is a definitely 5-star rv park, and the owners are super!!!!

If we could give the place six stars, we would. Bob and Lou were the most congenial and friendly of hosts. They've been renovating the place doing most of the work themselves and now that it is finished, everything works ... I think it all works because nothing would dare to not work when Bob is around. The pool, the beautiful oak trees, the rooms that were each individually and imaginatively decorated by Lou, the hot tub & jets, the service, everything was just great. Thank you and we hope to see you again at The Oaks one day!

This is an amazing place to stay if you are on vacation. The rooms are nice and cute, staff is very nice friendly. The pool and hot tub is very well maintained. Great place for vacations. How every there is no wifi in the rooms only near the rvs. No desks in the room neither no ice machine. So if your traveling for business not highly recommend. But if your traveling for pleasure definitely recommend.

Edit* According to the State of Florida, invitation to leave must be given in writing. This never happened.Husband stated we would leave the Tuesday after Memorial Day.Further more we were charged a daily pull through rate and electric is included which is stated on website. This is being investigated.Oaks Rv park reviewBuyer beware. Not pet friendly. Owner Robert Rapp seems unstable, unprofessional and very rude. AVOIDWe are retired RVers and have been traveling a couple of years with no problems until now!We rolled in and the owner meets us, I believe somewhat intoxicated as he goes into a one man show, explaining his improvements, the area and anecdotes.45 minutes later he is done. The owner is deceptive. He advertises one thing and then there are surprises. There is no accessible public coast/ water to this property. It is only accessible through others property that the owner encourages you to use.The electric bill huge surprise because nowhere does it state there is metered electric on daily rate $150???The owner has a huge explanation about his fancy lighted poles. In side the utility pole he hides the electric meter I would believe that you pay for the light on the pole. Mr. Rapp also wrapped up our electric cord before we were set. Our jack lands on the cord. The cord was Damaged. He had no business touching my property while I m setting up, nor taking so much of our time. The laundry room is small, void of ventilation and signs posted that the doors need to remain shut. There is no change machine.Supposed dog park is a space with a fire pit that the owner used to burn brush, pine cones etc. with stumps that litter the space along with weeds and thorny growth. There is a dog waste receptacle, no bags provided. The park is a mess. There is very little upkeep on landscaping etc. Some sites, ours included have zero area to sit out unless you want to sit out back by the utilities and overgrown brush. There are no posted rules or regulations, the owner makes them up as he goes.Three individuals spoke to us about not crossing Bob and that he was very loud an unhinged. We had been at the property for 5 weeks when we had a run in.We have pets. Our Belgian Sheepdog who is a puppy in training, occasionally barks, but never longer then a few moments as I correct him. It s moments at best. While I head out for my daily 3 mile walk, after 9 a.m., the pup barks at 2 chihuahua who are barking and I stop to correct him however the owner comes charging towards me screaming and waving his arms and yelling that the dog is not allowed to bark in the park This did not help the situation as I am somewhat afraid and concerned about the owners behavior as he is charging towards us. I very quickly move on and my Husband intervened and had to tell the owner to stop yelling. I continued my walk.As I amLeaving I see My husband is listening to Bob freak out when he turns his anger to a young man with chihuahuas that are barking. As I continue my walk for the next 50 minutes I return to continued hostilities. After the confrontation neighbors came out to see if we were ok. Yes it was that bad! There has been more than one encounter with the owner where I felt his sobriety is questionable. Including the afternoon we pulled in. These previous encounters were friendly, business related, but nonetheless I was uncomfortable in his presence, and that he touches you when he is like this as he talks. There are many more RV parks that deserve your money.
