Very engaging staff. I've been around the block with good and bad mechanics and automotive services. These people were honest, stood by their word, and gave us the facts - rare in this world these days. We had a delay in delivery, but we can never tell the future of situations and circumstances. Despite the late delivery, they still get five stars. The work was solid. Keep in mind if a place is good, they're going to be crazy busy.Service: Transmission

Vic's was great! Got us in quickly. Knew right away what the problem was and had the part on hand! Very courteous and knew their stuff. Highly recommend. Take cash or there is a 3% mark up. If we'd know in advance it would be 5 stars.

Vic s Performance was recommended to us by our mechanic. Our transmission needed to be replaced, he gave us a quote and timeline of completion. We went there and was greeted with politeness. Vic is a great guy and when we left we were very satisfied. Definitely recommend.

Excellent shop. They diagnosed the problem and took care of it. I dropped off my vehicle with an appointment and they called before I expected. The staff was GREAT.

I had a problem this week with my vehicle so I had it towed to Vics and I could not believe how nice they were, how affordable it was and especially how fast they were able to fix it! Amazing customer service on the phone and definitely not your average place! Also, they did a complete overhaul of my transmission roughly 4 or 5 years ago and I've had no problems with it since. They were highly recommended to me way back then.Service: Transmission

Ahhh... no more noise. About 18 mo ago I purchased a new differential carrier for my 2015 Tundra from a Toyota dealership in MS. I had it installed in Clearwater. A few months later it started to whine on deceleration. Not a detrimential to performance, just a whine like driving over the concrete cross cut bridges. More annoying than anything, especially after paying what I did to get it resolved. Last Sept. the noise was getting louder and also now appeared on acceleration as well. I went to Gettel Toyota and they agreed to spare parts warranty the unit. It was on national backorder for over 6 mo. Finally it arrived. Since I had the other one installed at another independant shop, they wouldn't cover labor. Understandable. I found Vics Transmissions and liked their reviews. They agreed to do the job. Gettel went out of their way to deliver it to Vics. Vics did an outstanding job at a reasonable price. Dave was great and knowledgable. Being in the auto service business for over 35 years I can appreciate the "inner workings" of a professional shop. That's what you'll find at Vics!

First I would like to say I took my truck to Vic's based on the recommendations of customers. I was told they were the best. I paid for Vic's to completely rebuild my transmission and I was assured by them that the rebuild was completed with all New parts and it should run as good as a new one. I paid $2,400 to have them rebuild it under the impression it would last. I soon found out that this was not the case. After 3 years and only 30,000 miles of going a short distance back and forth to work my transmission completely failed. I took it back to Vic's and they said they only guaranteed them for 1 year because they cannot determine how long it will last. I had them look at it as they stated they stood by their work and I was told that the transmission would need to be rebuilt again and that the only deal they could give me was to charge me the same price, another $2,400. They didn't even attempt to work a deal or apologize for rebuilding a transmission that just failed as soon as they could get out of the warranty. How convenient. I would highly not recommend them if you don't want to waste your money!

These guys are great, professional and down to earth. I brought my truck in for differential leaking (bearings going out). They diagnosed the main issue, provided a few options for quick fix vs long term fix, all based on my budget. I went with the long term fix and they did a top-notch, quality job. I will be using them again in the future! Thanks again Vic!

I've been going to Vic's for years since I moved to this area 12 years ago. And being a person who has had trouble with other car repair services, I am proud to say that Vic's has always been up front, professional, knowledgeable, and willing to do what needs to be done to repair any problems with my car(s). I'm proud to have Vic's as my mechanic, I trust him and his employees with any and all mechanical issues, and proud to call him and his members a great friend.

they did my transmission in my 65 CORVETTE. I had it rebuilt and back to a previous shop 3 times, when they opened it up the other shop had put in some new parts but left my old pumps dirty and not rebuilt,and old torque converter and the transmission failed after less than 30 miles. Vic's did a "complete" rebuild including taking the pumps apart and rebuilding everything to spec., not just piece meal. So far the car works as it should and I am satisfied. They also gave me a 1 year warranty. They appreciated me as a customer and could not have been more helpful and did not jack me around. Another shop that was highly recommended had my car for 77 days and had not touched it! Vic's had my car completely done in less than 2 weeks. This place is amazing. Vic and his wife Tracy own the shop. Jerry runs the inside. They are always, helpful, considerate of your time (as well as there s) and caring. It is a genuine mechanic shop that will do they best they can for you and your vehicle. They will not screw you over. I have taken my vehicle here for as little as a oil change to as big as a rebuilt transmission. Vics is my local mechanic. I will not go anywhere else. I highly recommend them. My husband and I have had Vicks transmission work on our car a few times. Once for the air conditioner and once for some transmission work we have been very pleased with their professionalism and keeping our car on the road.

Actually Vic's Transmissions does any auto repair except paint. And they really know their business! But maybe the most important thing is that you can really trust them. I have had both minor repairs & major repairs done there and you can be sure that the work is done right and at a fair price. I once overheard Vic explain to a mechanic that the he had taken longer than he should have for the work and that it would not be an expense to the owner. Vic refused to pass the additional time along to the car owner. This is not one of those shops that will charge you for something that is not needed. I highly recommend them.

I had an emergency today and got a referral from another mechanic I want to thank himMy gas line had a hole in it and I was spilling gas. The job was time sensitive Vic's we're greatThey got me in and address the problem.My car is fixed and I am safe but most if all I acquired a new mechanicWhen relocating getting your list of specialist is so importantTHANKS AGAIN

My father went to him when I was growing up and now that I live in the area I will not take my car to anyone else. He and his wife are very honest and trustworthy. When he fixes something it stays fixed, so I don't see them often but when I do it's always a pleasure

I just want everyone to know that I have used this location on several occasions. I have had a transmission done over 3 years ago and the car is still running excellent!Just over a week ago I took in my 2000 Chevy Blazer 4x4 as I was getting a horrible howling / whining sound and the rear differential. I already knew that my differential would need a rebuild. There was no one better in the market then Vic's Pro Pransmission shop !I was also getting a lot of vibration in the engine compartment. After Vic took it for a test drive he noticed that the engine mounts were ruined. Long story short after getting my vehicle back it was so quiet on the road! The engine was so quiet upon starting the vehicle! Also the differential that Vic's shop rebuilt was so quiet while driving it down the road !If you're looking for a place that has honesty, integrity, and excellent worksmanship this is the place to go! Vicks Pro Transmission for all auto repairs !

Do not take your car here rip off. After having work done here the problem has not been fixed and now they broke the windshield. Took the car to fix transmissions to have the AC fixed after taking the car numerous times the AC still has not been fixed and the windshield has come back cracked they will not repair it although they're the ones that broke it the windshield had just been replaced A couple months before hand would not get any work done at this place they don't seem like they know what they're doing or care about their customers

There are plenty of repair shops in the area, but these guys hands down are the best you will find. They are super easy to talk to, extremely knowledge and honest. It's really difficult sometimes to find these characteristics in a repair shop let alone all of them under one roof. Take your vehicle here, you won't regret it!

Great! Place to get your car repaired at a respectable price, very knowledgeable Mechanics. Cox Mazda wanted to charge me a ridiculous price just to ask a question and get an answers without doing any repairs. Vics Repaired the vehicle for 1/2 the price as to what Cox Mazda wanted just to diagnose the car.

Guys a joke surprised this place is still open. Took almost a month to fix my dodge Dakota transmission. Until the transmission hoses blew off on the highway and screwed up the transmission again but he didn t touch that part charged my dad about $5000 all together never fixed it right had to sell the truck thanks for nothing.Yeah it was when u worked on it in 2012 I m not confused with anywhere else never forgot! Good move trying to play it off like it wasn t you the true character you are!

Do not recommend. Have not been able to get my car fixed correctly in the 2 months they've had it. They gave it back to me today worse off than when I originally dropped it off. Frustrating to say the least.

I'm rebuilding the transmission for my work truck in my garage. I ordered my parts on the internet. The torque converter did not arrive. Every part store I called, said call Napa. Napa said call Vic's.. I thought it was a parts store. It's actually a larger scale transmission repair shop. I met Vic in the office. Told him what I needed, and expected him to turn me away. Instead he was really nice about it. He had what I needed. He was careful to explain warranty on parts not installed by him. A good price on the torque converter as well. The truck is back on the road and making money again. Still waiting on the internet part to show so I can send it back. I'm in 5-8 houses a day repairing hvac. I'll be telling folks how grateful I'm am to you

Great experience with a Check Engine Light issue, these guys are honest and very fair and found the solution to my car problem that I doubt a dealer or other mechanic shop would even know or think to try. Probably saved me hundreds of dollars. Take your car to these guys you wont regret it.

Cant say enough about the integrity of this business. Felt as if the transmission was not operating properly. They road checked it multiple timesand felt that the transmission was fine, and did not need any repairs. Very convenient for me to drop off my car. Just wish I could leave there without spending $400 & . Great mechanics. Guess that's the price you pay for good service and convenience.
