I took my Fj40 there to have a lift put on it as well as some other work done. The work was performed on-time and on-budget. Awesome Service & Great Guys. I will be taking all my cars to these guys!!

I purchased a 1967 vintage vehicle from Tyler at Coast Motors this January. It was a great experience until the car was delivered.I usually hire third party inspectors but bought into trusting Tyler.He wrote, prior to the purchase, that the car was in "excellent conditon", "frame off restoration a few years back" and "good runner and even better driver".What I received couldn't even make it two miles down the road much less pass a safety inspection.So far there is a list of 25 deficiencies which he did not disclose and are not just old car age related cosmetic details. This was not a recent frame off restoration and no way it could be considered a good driver.The transmission dumped most of the oil 15 mins off the trailer, needs a full rebuild. More electrical doesn't work than does and it is not simply a bad ground, gauges are faulty, interior panels are falling off and the passenger door has 1/4" air gaps which allowed water to dump into the interior. The list goes on.The parts estimate alone is over $10,000 to get it past an inspection for a car which was claimed to be "a good runner and even better driver".I have purchased numerous vintage vehicles and am familiar with the good and bad surprises but this one is a case of the seller being deliberately dishonest and misleading.My recommendation is stay far away unless you can see what he is selling in person.And he has had months to respond and hasn't. I contacted him immediately after receiving the car in January with my concerns and he said he would get back to me. I have tried several times to reach him and no response. He has my money and knows I won't be coming back.I am expecting his response to be something along the lines....rest assured, this rating doesn't reflect our typical high standards.Not sure how he can talk his way around this one. I have his misleading claims in writing and a vehicle in front of me in pieces getting rebuilt.

Tyler and his crew have some of the most unique cars and they are very easy to deal with. I have consigned over 11 cars for my clients and myself. Honest and just down right good folks.

I just had a bad experience trying to purchase a car from this place. The reviews state they are good at selling cars but my car purchasing experience is unacceptable and will not give them my business as well as inform people I know that are in the market for classic cars.
