They did an amazing job on my Nissan Murano! I came out below the estimate and they repaired my vehicle reliably and in accordance with the agreements! Great Conversation and I'll come back if I have a problem, definitely!

Wanted to charge $1,000 to fix a car that was only out of gas. Quoted $750 for pump that was $356 retail ($75 my cost) and $250 for labor that is 1.2 hours flat rate time.

Run don t walk away from this place. Took my Jeep in to fix oil leak. Said to replace head gasket too. Took over 5 months to do the job, left my car out in the elements to get rust, worst part, they put the wrong oil in it.Oil pressure went to zero on the drive home only 3 miles away. I took it back. After paying over $4,000!!! For just a head gasket and rear mail seal, they told me the oil pump was bad and would take care of me. Another over $600 and it was worse.I had to pay another company to rebuild the entire engine as they wouldn t stand behind the work. Full rebuild, machine, and correct work was less than the $4000 these guys took me for.You will see the same cars in the kit over and over again for the same reason . Run, don t walk to another establishment.Service: Engine repair

I contacted Palm Harbor Auto Service about replacing a front CV axle on my daughter's car. I spoke to the owner's son, Matt who quoted $300-$350. I made an appointment to take it in. While checking in for my appointment, I was asked to sign a form that included questions about the cost. I checked the box stating I wanted a written estimate if costs were above $350.00. About an hour later I got a call from Matt saying the cost would be higher than $350, instead it would be $465. I understand that things can change after looking at the car so I said okay. Later in the day, Matt contacted me to say car was done but the cost was over $600. When I arrived at the shop to pick up car I told Matt I should have been notified about the increase before the work was done. After arguing with him, he finally reduced the bill to $570, still over $100 higher than what I had agreed to. I believe this practice is unethical and I would not recommend this shop

4 years going here. I know this business is tough, always willing to give the benefit of the doubt on an an older vehicle that may always need repairs, but multiple visits for the same issues, and still not fixed is unacceptable. I wasn't more than 2 miles from the shop today and the issue resurfaced after 2 visits to the shop to fix it. They are always "down a mechanic", "down 2 mechanics" (Service writer and office manager's own words) so always takes longer then expected. I referred a new neighbor and they had similar issues and told me they would not be back. We both have spent a bunch of money here willingly on older vehicles, but not any longer. One of the mechanics even told my wife we should junk my POS vehicle. She's not a fan of my vehicle but she was even offended by the comment. I really wanted to like this shop, The owner nice and responsive, but they just can't seem to get the job done correctly or reliably :-( I recommend you go somewhere else for repairs, as I now have to do to get the vehicle repaired and running right AGAIN :-(

Total ripoff. Start a repair with $115 part plus labor. I ended up paying $1450. They keep adding to charges with or without talking to you. Same repair somewhere else is less than half . Total ripoff.

Not a good experience. Diagnostic was check at chevy. Once they looked over the car the estimated was very high. Palm Harbor was recommended so I took my car there only to be told the catalytic converter wasn't the problem but valves were bad. $1200 which was not surprising. 2 weeks later light was back on and diagnostic read the same as earlier. After a song and dance why the light came back on turns out the catalytic converter did need replacing at a whopping $1200 for the part only. No thanks.

This was my first visit. It is an older car, and it needs some undercarriage work. They were very honest about the assessment and tried some repairs to extend the time needed to replace. Really appreciated not feeling taken advantage of.

A friend that worked there at the time said I'd get a good deal, so after bringing my car there that needed mufflers replace and had it looked at before dropping it off the next day, I got a ride back home in another customers car, then I was told on the phone I had the wrong mufflers when other YouTube videos showed the same mufflers on the same car and when I got a ride back in yet another customers car I was charged $59.00 FOR NOTHING! WHAT A RIP OFF! BE AWARE YOUR CAR COULD BE PROVIDING A CAR SERVICE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS!Service: Exhaust

This auto shop is one of a kind. I've had a slow leak in my Jeep's engine for years that became progressively worse, until I had to address it. Not only did the mechanic fix a crack on the valve cover gasket, but also had me come in 3 more times after that to address a different leak and did not charge me for time and labor of the second leak. Super thorough, knowledgeable and willing to work with their customers!!!! Highly recommend this place!

Wife and I have had our cars in there several times over the last few years. Never had a problem with them. They do quality work and I've never had the price higher than what they quoted me. For an oil change or something simple I may go elsewhere and save a buck. But much more than that I've become much more comfortable with these guys. I'd recommend them.

This is the ONLY place I trust to work on my car. They are completely honest and explain the problem in a way I can understand. As a woman, I appreciate that they always talk to me and treat me with respect, never talk down to me. Prices are reasonable, about what you would pay anywhere else but less than the dealer. AAA certified so you get AAA discount if you're a member.

Very honest and trustworthy folks at PHAS. They follow up on their service and stand behind their work. They always explain everything clearly. I recommend them many times over. For a fair price and the work done correctly, this is a great choice.

I've owned many cars in my lifetime and many have needed repairs, but, I've never had the displeasure of working with a mechanic shop like Palm Harbor auto.My sister-in-law drops off my 2004 Mercedes C230. It was running rough and stalling at lights.I'm given an estimate of $1,002 and told it will take until Friday of the current week. Late Friday, I receive a call from Andy that they had completed the repair but couldn't get the car running and told me they would need another day, so it could be picked up Saturday. Instead, of being called to pick the car up, Andy calls me and says they don't have the tools to fix the car and that it would need to go to another shop.Yes. I brought in a car that was running rough, now have a $1,002 bill and a car that doesn't start at all. Their "oh well attitude" couldn't have been more stunning.Needless to say, I have the car towed to a repair shop about a mile up the road where they take a look at the car and within a short period of time call me back with a request for the original parts from my vehicle. I called Palm Harbor Auto only to be told, "they were thrown out a couple of days ago". Pretty sure they're required by Florida law to keep the parts until the vehicle has been paid for and picked up. Which, was NOT the case. The repair shop down the road notified me that the engine was blown and wanted me to come and look at the vehicle because they felt that Palm Harbor Auto damaged parts under the hood. So, if the engine was blown before they worked on it, why would they agree to work on it and charge me $1,002? If they didn't see any signs of the engine being blown, then the engine must have blown while they worked on it or when they were done working on it.Now, I'm out $1,002, have a car that doesn't run and needs an engine repair for $4,900. Pretty smooth move Palm Harbor Auto. To think, I had my father in law come to you guys last year for $3,000 worth of repairs on his truck while he was here on vacation. Never again. Everyone I ever meet and discuss car repairs with will hear about my experience with Palm Harbor Auto, where I was clearly ripped off of $1,002. Sooner or later these practices will catch up to you.

They over charge for crappie work! I recently paid $1300 for a brake job on my 2006 dodge ram. The brakes squeak and squeal worse now than before it got fixed. When I asked them about it they said that they had put the cheap brakes on. Then wanted to charge me more money to fix it after just having the job done the day before. I have brought plenty of vehicles to them for repairs and spent thousands of dollars on repairs that should have cost half as much. Never did I once feel like a valuable customer. It was only until recently that I had spoken with some much more honest mechanics that told just how badly I was being wronged. I urge everyone to stay away from Palm Harbor Auto Service!

I had a problem with my car and pulled in without an appointment. The friendly service techs jumped right on it and got me back on the road quickly. Their professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail was highly appreciated! I can't say enough good things about this shop!

Went in for a pre-purchase inspection on an older car. Gave me a detailed, clear picture of what I could expect with this vehicle. Honest. Highly recommend. Will be back for the minor repairs suggested.

This repair shop has provided excellent service, prompt completion, and very reasonable rates both times that I have gone there. In the short time I was in the shop, two very satisfied long term customers came in. One had been a customer for over thirty years and drove in from Trinity where she lives just to have her car worked on there. Bill truly cares about his customers and it shows!

Very knowledgeable and fair. The only downside of finding a great mechanic is that they're always busy, but it's worth the wait.

Needed a new master cylinder on my father s Honda Civic. I researched the cost of the part, and asked for a fairer price than the high markup they initially quoted me. They came down in price, only then to replace the calipers without informing me, which drove the cost back up. When I protested, the owner behaved like a bully, and told me I should have known it would be a bigger and more expensive repair. I left feeling terrible. The next day, the car broke down on U.S. 19 when the rods clamped the brakes shut. At high speed, it was very dangerous. We towed the car back to the garage and they fixed it - without any apologies or remorse that, due to their error, we could have been in a fatal accident. Untrustworthy, mean-spirited, and incompetent.
