So this is the deal, There are times when you need some odd bolts, tiny screws, springs or bushings, you know the kind of stuff you used to easily find in the old school hardware stores....But the stuff that you are not going to find in big box stores. Well, Thank God for Peter's Hardware! There are times when I need that kind of hardware stuff quickly, as in right now/today! Peter's Hardware in Palm City Florida either has it in stock, or knows where I can find it. A Big Thank you to the good folks at Peter's! Oh, and by the way, I hardly ever do reviews!

I needed to buy more of an odd screw I had that I needed to finish installing on a car, Alex came right up to me and helped get the correct one at a low price. Awesome hardware shop with awesome people! Will be going there from now on.

I love this store. If you work on projects around the house, you will love it to. They keep an inventory of handy parts and fasteners that other big stores don't stock. The folks that work there are friendly and knowledgeable. I'm always amazed how many things they carry in a relatively small store.

I would highly recommend Peters Hardware to everyone! They always go out of their way to assist their customers. They are friendly, knowledgeable and have very reasonable rates. Their customer service is second to none and I always leave in a better mood than when I came. They truly are the best!

This place is great. I've never been so jazzed about a hardware store before but I really like this place. The staff is funny and friendly and everything I've went here for they've had at a decent price and good quality. I ended up coming here like three days in a row because I needed random odds and ends and they had exactly what I needed each time.

I was very disappointed to go into Peters today, to find they are not protecting their staff or customers from Covid. No masks were seen anywhere. Its too bad that politics is playing a roll in public health. Also, the customer service has clearly deteorated since this business has changed hands. I went in today for something I have been buying there for years, and they wouldn' even check to see if they could order it. I was told I should shop at Lowes. No problem at all.

Great store selection . Great quality stuff. They are fair priced. And they are much more helpful than than the bigger company s like Home Depot etc. if I m doing any small project I go to peters. A tiny bit more expensive but the knowledge they have makes it worth it compared to the big stores that sell me the wrong things all the time claiming they know the trade. And I hate driving over the bridge

I love supporting our local small businesses. I always go to Peter's Hardware first and 85% maybe 90% of the time they have what I need. What I don't like recently, is that they are not abiding by the scientific recommendations to wear masks. It's a small space. I don't want to be around a bunch of sweaty men not wearing a mask. So I will go to Flair until this pandemic is over. I may check in from time to time but I am not spending a dime there, if I don't see masks.

Peter's Hardware is so convenient. It has almost every hardware item most of us need, and it is so nice to have a friendly person to show us exactly where it is located. I never go to Stuart without checking to see if Peter carries what I want.Additional comment July 15, 2016Since writing the above a year ago, I have come to appreciate Peter's Hardware even more. I can take him a "problem" or "situation" and count on getting good advice on how to fix it or solve it....and also the parts needed to do that. Would give them ten stars if I could.

Almost never have what I need but most typical hardware stores would. When they do the prices are way too high. Their answering message is extremely obnoxious. Better to drive over the bridge.

The manager and staff at Peter's Hardware are amazing. They are very kind and helpful, I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to avoid big box stores.

this review applies to the Peters hardware store in Palm city. I have shopped here for quite a while, but had to stop because they do not enforce masks for either customers or employees. Given the vulnerability of our local population, I am shocked that they do not wear masks or ask their customers to wear them. I prefer to shop local as opposed to using big box stores, but I cannot shop here until they begin enforcing Mask wearing.

Great local place to get what you need without going all the way to the big box. During hurrica ne prep this place was unbelievable. They had the whole family working to make it as smooth as possible. For as packed as it was I was in and out with what I needed and no attitude from people. Meanwhile the big box stores were either sold out or filled with angry people. Wish I went here first.

My 10 year old son was in desperate need (his exact words) of a Hex Key Set to tighten his Scooter before he could go meet his friends at The Skate Park. Unfortunately i at the moment was laid up with a bad leg and couldn't drive him up to Peters. He's 10 and we live right down the road so I knew he could scooter up there safely in about 10 minutes. And we both have cell phones so I was able to be on the line with him the whole time. So with his physical safety taken care of, I only had 1 more concern. I would be giving him my credit card to use. As I was handing it to him I had visions of him buying the most expensive Hex Key Set they carried. And every and anything else he saw in the store that he was 100% SURE ABSOLUTELY NEEDED. With that vision etched in my mind, before my son left the house I called PETERS and explained everything I mentioned above. And by the time I hung up all my concerns and and all those etched in visions were completely gone. They assured me that he would only be allowed to purchase the Hex Key Set he was in need of. And that they would keep a watchful eye out for him to arrive and even offered to call me back if they had NOT seen him in the next 15 minutes. I then explained that I would be in constant contact with him via our cell phones while he was scootering there & back so that would not be necessary.I'm happy to say EVERYTHING went 100% as planned. My Son & My Credit Card BOTH made it to Peters and then straight back home SAFELY. And THANKS to the Associated at PETERS, my son did NOT come home with anything more then The Hex Key Set he was sent to buy. My ONLY REGRET is that I completely forgot to get the name of The EXTREAMLY HELPFUL ASSOCIATE whom I spoke to on the phone so that I could Thank him both in this review & then again in person once my leg is doing well enough...I Highly Recommended this store...

One of the negative ratings below is a political statement on mask wearing at this store for Covid-19. Can we stop hurting small businesses that have been DEVASTATED by government actions this past year and instead, start supporting them? For shame trying to hurt a wonderful small business right now.

Besides the lady that works there, the rest of them have absolutely no customer service at all. No help finding things at all. The place used to be great but not anymore!

usually great service and good products and prefer them over the big box stores in Stuart or Port Saint Lucie. We shop here for both personal use and various supply items for our farm.

Just left peters hardware I came into the store holding a broken chainsaw which the exhaust was falling off. Not only did they help me find what I needed with a pleasant and helpful demeanor they went above and beyond to help me put the bolts in (shout out to Lee!! Thank you) so that was it was operational so I can go finish cleaning up after hurricane Irma this is a small mom and pop store but the people in it have big hearts. I will shop at Peters hardware before any other store from now on

If anyone knows Peter s Hardware water treatment in palm city, do not be bullied by him.As a real estate company, and appliance business, we refer to local vendors.When Peters hardware was contacted to move a water system and didn t get paid the 500 by the customer because it wasn t complete or working, Peter decided to take it out on others after stomping his feet in a meer temper tantrum unless we made sure he was paid. Yet We don t manage the property.Peter then went to all the properties we manage for owners and pulled all the equipment without notice.Some equipment was rented from his over rated business and paid to date for all services, but not all of it yet he still took it.Removing water treatment equipment that does and or does not belong to him off properties Without proper notice, Leaving families with health issues should not be allowed.He claims to be the Mayor of palm city and does whatever he wants to people when he wants to he previously said.Going for the right from wrong here, hoping Martin county does the right thing about this.Anyone in Martin County encounter any such thing?

Rude people. Called for info over the phone and they hung up very abrupt saying your gonna have to come in then when i get there they just stared at me until i said something. They also falsely told me they had something they didn't. I do my best to try and support local businesses as i am an owner myself. This was my 3rd bad experience with thus place. They will not see me again.

Guys who answered the phones acted like they had no idea what was going on. Told me I would need to go to a car dealership to copy my keys. Completely useless.
