Three years ago I was referred to Standard Powertrain by a life long mechanic. My transmission was not changing gears and stalling the car when slowing to a stop. I thought I needed a new transmission. After diagnosis, the owner Sean informed me it was a computer control module and pressure issue. Less than half of what I thought it would cost. Two years later I had a bad vibration thru the gears changing. I again thought it was time for a new transmission. It turned out to only be motor mounts. I have had my son and daughters cars in for routine service and my sister in laws suv has had her transmission replaced. Sean is as fair and honest as you will find. He has always completely diagnosed the issue, explained all of the options, and fixed the issue in a timely manner. I refer Sean and Standard Powertrain to all of my family and friends. I will have my wife's car in soon for fluids and filter.

It is refreshing to finally find a professional, knowledgeable, and technical Technician in this market. Sean fixed my stage 3 ATS transmission that was previously incorrectly installed. He quickly identified the problem area, then presented several options that were financially appealing; most places won't do that. On a separate occasion, Sean identified a noise that no one else was able to find. It has been 6 months since I've been at the shop, I wanted to make sure before I posted this review. I am happy and satisfied with my service from this shop and I'm confident that you will be too. Thanks Sean!

Recently took my truck to have rear end rebuilt, I work from my vehicle so down time means no work. Sean had my truck back up and running and me back to work in no time. He s very reasonably priced and in this case you get more then what you pay for. I would highly recommend to anybody that needs a great mechanic.
