My F150 broke down while on vacation in Palm Bay. I took it to ford to get looked at and they diagnosed some issues but what they were saying made no sense and they would not give me straight answers on the phone on how bad the issue was. Immediately after I got off the phone with them I called Helsel s Automotive and gave them the diagnosis ford gave me. I told them I needed to drive back to Virginia and they told me they could take a look at it that day and get the truck done by the next day. Their service is unmatched. Everyone at the front desk was so kind and informative. They did a full inspection of the truck and told me what I would need to get done to make it safely back home and what they recommended I should get done. They told me exactly what the issues were and how bad it was with pictures included. And they sent part numbers to me for other issues I have to fix when I get back home. I would highly recommend this place if you have any issues with your car. They will take good care of you.

After being told from Kia they would need to hold my car for another week to do the new repairs they found, for only going in there for an oil change and some warranty work, they said it would be over 2,000.00 not including labor or taxes! I said give me my car back. I was referred to Helsel's and they gave me a quote, told me exactly what they would do and had my car in and out repaired within 24 hrs! And alot less money and time. !! So happy with the work! My car is running great. They even left a message to follow up on my car to call them if anything else comes up. I would highly recommend them, or use them for a second opinion. If you think it cost to much , get a second opinion! They were so friendly and professional. No vagueness at all. ! I will definitely go to them for future car repairs!

They have taken great care of us. They've gotten us in quickly when somethings gone wrong with our truck. They explain in terms I understand and they have always finished within the quoted time and price.

Unfortunately, I've had to give a lot of money to Helsel's in recent months. Transmissions & A/Cs are expensive! Fortunately, Jason & the team at Helsel's have sold us what we needed and nothing more. There's no one trying to upsell you repairs & parts you don't need here, like at some car dealership I've experienced. They deliver when they say they will. Also, I don't get talked to like I'm an idiot or a "dumb girl." I've gotten that at mechanic shops before. Jason explains things to customers in an easy to understand way. I've overheard him on the phone where I've wanted to snatch the phone and yell at the person on the other end, but he just patiently repeated himself 5 times in a kind tone, too. He's a saint!!! As much as I don't look forward to needing it, I'll definitely use Helsel's again for future car troubles.

The guys know what they are doing. Clear and quick communication. Their timelines were what they said. They replaced my engine mounts which is a pretty big job, and had me back on the road 2 days later. Definitely bring my truck as well as my wifes truck here from now on.

My husband and I were on our way to Fort Lauderdale and he noticed some vibration in the tires so he pulled over checked the tires and found one had a bulge we found Helsel automotive and they gave us the best service we didn t have to wait long they had lots of cars that they were working on and because we were going to Fort Lauderdale for a funeral they put us made us a priority and we really really appreciated that that s why Helsel automotive is number 1 for us!

I dropped my car off on 08/09/23 due to having issues with accelerating and car "jumping" when parked. I was informed at 9:44AM that I had 3 bad ignition coils. They said the price was 978.25$ for the cost of repairs and were going to replace all 4. I stated that was okay thinking that was the price it costs to replace them and labor. I did some research after and learned that it was unusually high, but I thought it was because the guy at the front stated that my car would be done by the end of the day. At 4:11PM I called them to ask if there was any update, the guy at the front said there was still issues, stating there was 2 cracked spark plugs and they put in new ones to see if that would fix it, but that there was a "melted" catalytic convertor in my car. It is an integrated system attached to my exhaust manifold. I said no to repairing that and to changing the spark plugs as I had replaced one on July 20th and checked the other and they were fine. I was then told the price for the ignition coils was because it included a 2-year or 35,000 warranty, which I did not agree to. I was informed if i didn't spend the 2100$ to replace the exhaust manifold intergrated with my catalytic convertor that my car would break down and was unsafe to drive. When I picked my car up yesterday 08/10/23, I was charged 978.25$ but there is no warranty included on the paper. As I was driving to my house to replace my spark plugs, my car was jerking and having severe driving issues. After the short distance I started changing my spark plugs, none of them were cracked or had any build up. On cylinder 1 the spark plug was upside down. Once i replaced all three except the 1 i replaced on 07/20/23 (i pulled it out and checked to confirm no damage) my car ran perfectly. As I was closing my hood it would not click into the latch, i tried again and discovered it was damaged. I had not opened it until I was replacing my spark plug and did not touch the latch at all. My father called and they stated I could come in today 08/11/23 and the guy at the front was rude when i offered to show the spark plugs to see if they could point out what part was broken so I could understand where it was cracked. They refused, and that only 1 was cracked. The guy at the front said he saw it was cracked and that the "master technician" was the one who discovered it. The plugs I brought were all the original ones I had prior to bringing my car in. They fixed my hood latch but it is still damaged and will need to be replaced. But it is a temporary fix for now. Do not go here! They tried to scam me and overcharged me and lied about saying it was so high due to the warranty but is not included on my receipt and invoice showing what was done and what is recommended. Overpriced, liars, scammers, and incredibly rude.

Helsel Automotive isn t just a great place for auto service they are a pillar for helping the community. I have always come here for my tire needs and even with finding out they don t do used tires anymore they helped me get my tire off which seemed impossible as well as helped me put it back on. Helsel's was recommended to me by an employee at Pit Stop where I've been having my oil changed for 4 years. They said that Helsel's was honest and did great work. They were right! I'm so glad that I found a place where the mechanics are honest and trustworthy. Very good service. Took my truck in for work and they went above and beyond to let me know there were other items that needed to be addressed. They fixed the issue I was worried about. To no fault of theirs I had to be towed back the next day because of a faulty part. They were super supportive and apologetic. They had no control over a faulty part. Great group of people and will be taking all my other vehicles to them for other maintenance needed.Thank you so very much for keeping trucking and on the road.UPDATE. They were great. The issue was found and fixed the next day. These guys are good at what they do and I have found my go to garage to take my stuff to.Thanks guys. First time visiting but, I ll definitely be returning. Customer service was very personable which made it easy to build rapport when discussing my automotive needs. My tires were checked ,balanced, and rotated. They didn't even charge me for the rotation. I'm very impressed. As a mechanic I can tell you first hand that some places take full advantage of unsuspecting drivers/customers. Not Helsels ! They were honest and forthcoming!They even took the time to check for other problems and concerns in regards to my vehicle. Great job Jay and company! Definitely coming back!Service: Tires

If you're looking for a good place to get your car serviced that won't rip you off... Keep looking.Having lived in the area for less than 3 years at this point I needed a reliable mechanic. Helsel's is nearby and it only took them three times to fix my son's car... Okay and about a month and two tows, but that was because unfortunately his type of car... In the end they stuck by their word and got his car fixed. You don't even want to know how much it cost!Unfortunately that type of car...I guess I should have gotten used to that phrase because apparently my car also fell into that category. I'm willing to bet about 90% of the cars that they service fall into that category!So long story short, to get my oil changed, my tires rotated, and my headlights replaced... A mere $750.To be fair they did call in warn me that the headlights were expensive $150 each. Oh I'm sorry did I forget to mention I took a pass on the $280 part it was going to take to make the headlight work?I just can't believe how unlucky I am to have that type of car...The amazing thing was I found that part on Amazon for $45 and had a friend install it!I'm not even going to question if that was the reason the headlight wasn't working in the first place...Do yourself a favor and learn from our mistake...Avoid Helsel's.If anybody does know a reputable mechanic in the Melbourne / Palm Bay area please let me know!!!

Top notch auto mechanics! Very thorough and very informative. Brought my car in to have my a/c serviced and oil change. I also asked them to look the car over and let me know if there was anything else that they might recommend. When they were complete they sent me a link which presented a very impressive checklist of everything they looked at and rated each recommendation by level of importance. We have come here multiple times but today they really went over and beyond their great customer service. The guys in the front are so helpful and the guys behind the scenes work super fast to get your vehicle back on the road. Every time I have gone to Helsel's I have had a positive experience. Their prices and costs are most reasonable. On a Saturday recently, I had a flat tire and they took me immediately without an appointment and Chris was so very courteous and knowledgeable. He quickly dealt with the tire issue and even did an oil change-all without a prior appointment. I strongly recommend Helsel's for auto needs! They are really great!

This is the most respectable, reliable, courteous, and knowledgeable business around. i appreciate the fact that EVERY time I come here I am treated like family. They fix the problem and go out of their way to make sure you are happy. I even got a back massage while waiting with their new chair massagers. Love this place for my automotive needs. If you need a honest reliable trustworthy mechanic helsel's is the best to go to!!! Everyone treats you with respect and they really are honest. I been coming there for a while. They get you in and out as fast as they can! How they engage with the clients is so unreal and because now a days they some mechanics is just about the money and don't really care... Amazing customer service! My 2012 Nissan Versa was no longer blowing cold air and in this Florida heat, it was almost impossible to drive the car. kamron and his crew figured out the issue (leak in the lines) and had it fixed up and ready to go much faster than quoted. Very reasonably priced and a great experience, definitely will be back!

I had 2 bad tires and they took care of me. They got me a new tire plugged the other one and made sure I was back on the road in know time. I love the people here they are friendly and take good care of their customers. I will definitely recommend them to friends.

Well.the were supposed to diagnose and repair my ac ..charged me 199 bucks. Took car home ..never worked...very dis pleased.I dont even want them to make good and fix it right..I'll bring .the owner responded with a completete lie ..wasn't anything thats was an issue with the car I didn't fix was told by u staff car was done ..not that it need more work ..if lying makes u feel comfortable about your lack of competence in workmanship u should not do business anymore plz let's tell people what I declined to repair..two months later ..id like to hear it for the first time liarService: Air conditioning

Best shop in town. I trust them with all my diesel mechanic work. Great prices with fast professional service. A shop like this one is hard to come by.
