I had read some of the other reviews on here and was highly recommended by others from a car show here in Sarasota. I am very happy I trusted my baby with them. Not only was my old Chevy fixed and ran better than it has years, they even washed her for me. They kept me updated by texts with pictures of the old suspension being removed and the new being installed. They aren't your run of the mill mechanic shop that works on any car. I like they focus on the classic cars and keep their attention to the details. They earned my repeat business and bonus give yourself a few extra minutes to see the other classic cars they are restoring, wow!

I took my Ford in for a safety check and a once over. They put together a check list of items needed for the 'stang listed by importance. My pick up off the car for my initial estimate was lower than they quoted and the work done was nicer than expected. They do very nice work and showed me everything they did while the car was on the lift. They explained each part and I noticed they painted connected items to match. Everything was clean and bonus- they even applied some wax to my car before I picked up. I get to enjoy cruising this weekend verses cleaning the car. Very good conversations and there food recommendations were spot on too. Will be doing round two in a few weeks when parts arrive for the vintage air conditioning. Thank you Rachel and Gary- oh and Mason. Lunch is on me next visit in.

I've been going here for a few years now, they always have treated me fairly. The work is done with care, they treat my car as if it were one of their own. Always professional and clean. If you want to be treated right and not ripped off, then these people are the ones for you. I told them my next car I'm bringing them in I want them to make it a restomod like the one there now that's worth half a million! That is one sexy car!

I have had them do work on my truck and iam again. So far they r doing me well their shoppe is much cleaner than several ive been in much. They r competitive in their prices and actually might b lower than some and lower than some in DIRTY shoppes.They have been polite, fun sense of humor as i have also lolSo at this point i think they r great. Thank you guys for helping me keep my big girl truck on the road!:-)

Update to this rip off joint. There are 3 currant lawsuits pending from fraud to stealing parts DO YOUR RESEARCH at the clerk of court office look at the pending cases in the hundreds of thousands of dollars BEWARE you will be ripped off call the clerk of court and ask how many lawsuits they have pending. they take a deposit and do unauthorized work and try to steal the car and strip it of parts

Mike was the most unprofessional hot head rip off I have ever dealt with. His original estimate on hours was HALF of what I paid. Even when we sat down mid way through, he gave me another time estimate and it was HALF the time he spent after. I wish at that point I would have had my car towed in pieces with no tires on it to go somewhere else. He stole my transmission. I wrote the serial # down so I would know it was the same coming back. Lord and behold Mike said it had a crack and took it to get welded and then said it needed recased when I questioned it. He never even called me and just did it. He said he was trying to keep the job moving even though nothing was being done at the time because we were waiting on parts. I remember him telling me he had a munci he could sell me when I was looking to buy one. I went to the transmission shop and saw the old case and the #'s were different. The transmission guy said Mike called him after I came to Mike, and told him to recase it. Mike tried telling me the transmission guy was lying to me. When Mike put the transmission in he didn't put any fluid in it! Screwed it up and I had to have it rebuilt. Then, he couldn't get it to work the second time and the transmission guy fixed it for me. Whenever I visited the shop unannounced, there was no one working on my car. Even though he was demanding money every week for hours they spent working on my car. He forever tried to adjust the rockers on the new motor and couldn't figure it out. They were noisy and the car had no real power. I had someone adjust the rockers and polish the lifters and they worked perfectly. Again, in only a couple hours time. He couldn't figure out my gauges that I bought and blamed on the fact he said they were junk. He blamed me because I bought them myself. Although, when I first asked him to order them, he said I would be better off to order them on my own and he didn't have time. He wouldn't let me have them back and like the transmission, he sent them to the manufacture without telling me! They were received cracked. The manufacture said they could tell right away he was installing them wrong. They spoke to him on the phone and reported back to me that he didn't know what he was doing. He was not using the right plug that is supplied with the gauges. They sent new ones no cost and he couldn't figure them out either and said it was junk. Well, I got someone to install the same gauges he couldn't figure out in about two hours,,,the same amount of time the manufacture said the install should take. Mike billed me for several hours of time he spent to not figure them out and install them. The new vintage air conditioner kept loosing coolant and he blamed it on being a factory problem also. It turned out to be that he incorrectly hooked up the hoses! The exhaust was only ran under the car less than half way. He said I could go somewhere and have more put on because it would be cheaper for me to go somewhere else. I originally told him when he started I wanted the pipes to come out the back of the car. He said with the new rear end it would never work coming out the back. Well, I had the exhaust fixed it for about $300 including material and it comes all the way out the back. When he had the car on the lift, he noticed bolts that hold the frame together were loose! He also pointed out I had the wrong headers for the engine and kept blowing gaskets. I had someone else get me different gaskets that are nearly blow proof and has not been a problem since. I have heard so many horror stories around town about him. I cannot even believe that they have as many cars come as they do but can only think that being there are so few people who do this work that it is a demand thing. I know Mike is no longer there but Rachel was no different to deal with. You will be taking a huge risk to have your car taken apart by them. I wouldn't trust them to do an oil change. If I could give negative 5 stars I would!

I have a lot of personal experience with this shop. Rachel and Gary are good people who will work hard to get your car restored from the ground up.

I did not have any work performed here for a few reasonsI did however get an estimate for the repairs that were neededBrought one of our cars here to have a few things looked at and received a bid to do the work. Which in itself seemed fair until we got a 2nd estimate and found that many of the repairs these guys wanted to perform were things not needing repaired. They were items that in fact worked perfectly wellI cannot leave a rating based on their workmanship as I have no idea but as far as an accurate estimate goes they failedAnother shop did all the needed repairs for about 1/4 of the price we were quoted hereThey might do great work but not sure they actually problem solve as much as just bolt on new parts like most all other shops

We have a 1988 C-4 and have had it repaired by other shops with mixed results. We are very satisfied that we found Extreme Midyears. They have done some pretty major work on our Vette, and it has always been done right. Rachel is awesome, and always easy to work with and fit our priorities around our budget. Excellent locally owned shop that stands by their work.

Had a giant nail in my tire and called these guys up, had me in & out in 15 minutes. Tire was plugged and everything was great! Asked the guy how much and he said $10 so I gave him a $20, all that being said i drive a 2014 dodge avenger so they work on all cars not just mid years. Cool guys, worth checking out!

After spending $7K plus, I could barely get the car home as it died 3 times. Don't even think of complaining, they will tell you how smart they are and that you no nothing about how a automobile works. Even if you have had a business restoring and building cars for 25 years that means nothing to them. I made a simple change, that I had ask them about, and was told I didn't no how a distributor worked, and the 63 corvette ran great. Not only that but Mike left me a phone message that "the girl" as he put it has forgot more about cars than I ever knew, and them called me a male chauvinist pig. He doesn't even know my business partner in my packaging company is a 50% owner and we have worked together for over 30 years. Don't waste your time and money.

My experience with extreme midyear LLC. Mike lies about what says he will do and how much it will cost .would not give me a firm price just kept telling me how wonderful he is and how much he knows .( not impressed ) . then the job was more than twice his estimate .I know of at least two examples where customers had to get the sheriffs dept. involved just to get their car back .mike didn't do what he contracted to do , did an inferior job and then over charged them . and the customer refused to pay for inferior work so they had to call the sheriffs dept. to get their car back .I hesitate to be specific regarding my car because mike will know who gave him this review . then being the hot head that he is I fear he would vandalize my car at a car show .(he used a little different language if you know what I mean). that is what he said he would do if I contested the bill . I paid him thousands of dollars and then paid a good honest shop to fix his screw ups . mike is so full of himself there is no room for the truth . do yourself a favor go to his location in Sarasota ask around the other shops in the same building they will tell you all about mike . by the way some of the photos on his web site are not his work or his shop . if you deal with Mike GOOD LUCK !

My Mercedes Benz AC Compressor went bad. The car is 9 years old.If you google "gl550 air compressor replacement cost" you get a price from Google.Midyears was on the below of that price. They did the job in 2 days and really cared. Impressive.I had already 3 cars with them.So - thank you !

Angry & rude right off the bat and kept trying to convince me to buy a more expensive detailing package. I did that and oh boy so I have never seen such horrible work. For such a high price I was expecting a job well done. I would love to post a picture but that option is disabled. Stay away and save your money.

The people at this shop were awesome..took my xterra in to fix my air after been giving a quote for $2700 from an air place they fixed me up for $500 .the people there are eager to help in any way and even gave me a ride while my car was being worked on. Thanks everyone for a great job
