I ve used Tom s Automotive several times to work on my 2008 Ford F150 and have been very pleased by their service. They are good about letting you know what the cost is going to be for the repairs and complete the job in a timely matter.

I ve been. Customer for several years and I ve never been displeased. Had a gear shift panel replaced and they got me in and on the road in 3 days .. sooner than expected. A family owned business that I trust completely.. I would never go anywhere else.. I highly recommend them.. My family has been bringing our vehicles here for years. Tom's is a small family-run business that always does fantastic work at a fair and affordable price. If you're looking for an honest mechanic to work on and maintain your vehicle, consider giving Tom's Automotive a try. That's what I did 11 years ago (2009), and haven't found a reason to go anywhere else since.

I visited Tom's Automotive a few weeks ago, based on a recommendation from a long-time customer there. I just moved to the area, so I don't know anyone here, all my tools are at my old place, and I had no way of even diagnosing my car.I came in with a wicked shimmy in the front end of a used Subaru I just bought, and being a former mechanic, I can easily list a dozen ways they could have really fattened up my bill without even raising my suspicions. If this had been a disreputable shop, this would have been a golden opportunity for them.Instead, what I got was a very reasonable bill, a thorough explanation of the options available to me, and some of the kindest, most professional service I've ever seen in the business. The car was left clean, my seat was exactly as I left it, and the car drives beautifully. I can't recommend Tom's Automotive enough, and will definitely be going back!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Great people! Honest work! I have taken several cars here over the years. Most recently an AC that stopped worked, I was sure it would be $1,000+ repair. It turned out to be a cheap easy relay. They could have fleeced me and I would not have been the wiser. It's nice having a reliable shop that I can trust when they give me good news or bad.

As a longtime customer, same as my folks before they passed away, I cannot praise this place enough. Family owned and operated, they've been around for years and years, and are as honest and trustworthy as they come. Extremely reasonable prices, fast and friendly, and like others have said, they most DEFINITELY know their stuff....high quality work, every single time, with no games or B.S. whatsoever. No heavy pressure to have extra work done or anything like that, they might give you a little heads-up on certain things down the line just to make you aware, but that's it...they are the BEST, period. I am so grateful for them, very highly recommended, five stars!!! Keep up the GREAT work, gang. :-)

Wow what great service. On vacation in Ormond beach when our brakes started to grind. Looked online and found Tom's automotive who had great reviews. They had availability that day, quoted us a very reasonable price and got us on our way. They couldn't be nicer people. We highly recommend this family business.

Once again, Tom came to my rescue. Weird message on my dash yesterday. Call first thing on Monday morning and he said bring it in and let me check it out....not, I'm too busy today maybe next week. Brought my Chevy truck in and within 30 minutes diagnosed the problem, suggested the necessary repairs and pricing. Before the end of the day I have truck back on the road for a fraction of price that other "chains" would charge including the dealer that sold the truck. I have complete confidence in their recommendations and for 6 years they have never let me down. Highly recommend this skilled, locally owned business. Nice waiting area with fresh coffee and personal interaction with the mechanic that is working on your vehicle.

What a surprise! A local "certified" experienced mechanic diagnosed my SUV as definitely needing a new $1700 computer. After reading the reviews here, I then brought it to Tom's Automotive for a second opinion, where it was diagnosed as a single coil and a spark plug issue, which were then promptly fixed. My SUV now runs like it's brand new off the showroom floor! :) So thankful to find these honest expert mechanics..... saved sooooo much money and time.

This is a family business including mom who is the office person. I have been using Tom's for several years and I feel you get your money's worth as they do a thourough job and give honest opinions as to the condition of the vehicle.Nice clean waiting room.

The best service and the best mechanics I have ever had! One of my vehicles has never been touched by any other auto repair in the last ten years. The words "honest mechanic" were never uttered by me until I came to Tom's. Whenever I had car problems I always dreaded the estimate the mechanic would give me - and it usually was astronomical bordering on insulting - especially when I took my car to Holler Honda. When I finally decided to try Tom's I was floored at how thorough, honest and reasonably priced they are. You can tell customer service is paramount as opposed to making a profit - and that's why I won't take my car to anyone else.

Great service, answered my questions, very reasonable prices. Whole thing is family run it seems, the guy you talk to is the guy fixing your car and he even takes it for a little test drive so you don't end up having to come back 10 minutes after pick up. Just an honest hard-working mechanic was refreshing after spending $1000 at a corporate owned shop and they didn't fix the issue I addressed and didn't care when I requested they continue to look to find the real problem I wanted to address. I will gladly drive, or tow, my car from Jax to Daytona if I ever need work done again.

The O2 sensor had been out in my Taurus wagon for several months and the windshield washer hose had hardened and cracked so I bought the parts online in preparation for the day I got motivated enough to get on with it. I called Tom's Automotive in the early morning and spoke with Tom himself, he asked me to come in around 11am. When I arrived a lift was vacant for my car....no waiting! They replaced the 2 parts I was dreading getting to and while at it I had them change the oil and filter along with the cabin and intake filters and the fuel filter. They diagnosed another defect in the car's electronic systems but told me the problem would not affect neither performance nor reliability, discouraging me from spend a considerable sum to replace a nonessential system. I finally remembered the one tag light also being out and they replaced it as well. Not having other transportation available, my wife and I waited, with Pretty and Walley (our dogs) in their immaculate lobby for the duration. It was very comfortable and well stocked with a variety of reading materials. Sherry stayed busy back at the desk but was never too busy to field my questions through out the seemingly very short time we were there. When presented with the bill, I was truly embarrassed. It was less than a quarter of what I felt should have been a fair charge. After wrangling with Tom, I got him to accept just a little more. I left feeling I had taken advantage of Tom' Automotive. But it's for certain, I WILL BE BACK TO ENJOY THEIR HONEST ASSESSMENTS, QUALITY REPAIRS AND UNREASONABLY LOW PRICING FOR EVERY NEED ARISING WITH MY CAR!!!

Used to be great, but the past couple times I've been here have not been good. The quality of work has been questionable, and there have been additional problems with my car that I've had to come back for and pay more money to have fixed. The lady that runs the office is hit-or-miss, either being helpful or downright nasty. I'll probably go somewhere else from here on out.

Until 2 days ago I had never heard of Tom's and like Shay I looked for the reviews on auto repair places around here. I too have just moved back to Daytona from Springfield Mo. After checking the reviews it was apparent that this was the place to go. My back window decided to quit and stay in the down position and I thought uhh ohh here goes a ton of money that I really didn't want to spend. I showed up early and Tom greeted me and listened to my problem and said that would be no problem. So I waited inside and chatted with his wife and it was like talking to a friend. Tom found the problem told me the cost of the part and how much for labor... I was pleasantly surprised because I had expected it cost much more. I asked how much to change the oil too and it was lower than I thought. Way lower than the places around here. After the repair was done Tom explained to me a few minor problems that would need attention but could wait for a bit because he understands that money is a problem for everybody. No pressure to add that extra work just letting me know what was up with my car. I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO HAVE MY CAR WORKED ON FROM NOW ON! So if you want or need someone to repair your car and not wonder if they are going to apply the screws to you this is the place to go. Honest and more than Reasonable prices. What a blessing it is to have this business move to our area. Thank You Tom ! Scott B.

This place is great. I have taken my two cars there a couple of times over the past two years. They seem quicker, cheaper and most importantly... the car problem gets fixed and stays fixed.

I have a 1995 Volvo 850 Wagon just turning 100,000 miles so had an extensive service done on the vehicle. Transmission, radiator/cooling system, brakes and I had a pasenger side door that could not be opened with interior latch. Volvo service indicated that I would have to purchase and new lock mechanism @ over $400.00 and possibly new acutators for an additional sum. All work was done on time and at a very reasonable cost but best of all Tommy fixed my door lock problem for $90.00. What a bargain! I would recommend Tom's to anyone .

We just moved up here and have had bad experiences at the corporate shops. Our staff member suggested that we use Tom's Automotive and we are very pleased. It was affordable and they were knowledgeable.

I called for a simple Brake job quote to replace my Roters and Brake Pads. The Receptionist claims she could not give me an approximate figure for this simple job, she was also very Rude!!!
