Never made it home after over $1900 worth of work done. Same day I left we ended up on the highway broke down. I ll update once the shop opens tomorrow. Now we are paying for a tow truck $175 to get the rest of the way home! Update: Liz is horrible in customer service. She will lie, the tech said he couldn t get my coils Monday because they were out of stock but the real deal was it s another $800 service, after we asked for ALL maintenance be done for a tune up. In reality while he had my engine up he could ve ordered and did my coils along with my spark plugs and GDI fuel service. It s all apart of the tune up and I requested it. Look at customer concerns in my receipt.

I called this auto shop hoping to get my car's electrical problem fixed, but the guy who answered the phone was really rude. Instead of listening to what I had to say, he interrupted me and said he didn't need all the details.What's worse, he kept repeating the price - $585 for 3 hours of work - even after I told him I didn't care about the money, I just wanted my car fixed. It felt like he cared more about the money than helping me out.After his rude behavior, I decided not to schedule an appointment. When I said no thanks, he just said "OK" and hung up on me. It was really disrespectful.I wouldn't recommend going to this place. The guy needs to learn how to treat customers with respect. Look for somewhere else to get your car fixed!

We tried Honest-1 after a very bad experience at a GM dealer in Jacksonville. We were left , after 5 days, with a huge bill and a truck that still was not repaired properly. Honest-1 checked the codes and found the repairs that were needed. Chuck M had the repairs completed in 2 days. Now the truck runs like it's supposed to.Thank you also to Liz and Amanda for their support and service.We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Honest-1 . It's been a pleasure dealing with you all.Peter and Sheila

I serviced my car needing a headlight bulb change and oil change. My bill was $372. They failed to diagnose a faulty starter which a more experienced mechanic diagnosed in under 2 minutes. You need to change the name to Crooked 1 auto repair. Plus I wonder if some of the 5 star reviews are written by the service advisors.

I want to want to say thank you to the nice people here at Honest One Auto Care. They did such a great job on my vehicle and the Information they gave me about the preventive maintenance was worth its weight in gold. I want to personally show my gratitude and thank the hard-working people here at Honest-1 Auto Care for their expertise. Most of all Id like to say thank you to both of the young ladies behind the desk for explaining everything to me, Simply put, they are one of the best.

Honest-1 isn't so honest. I moved from out of state and needed a mechanic to inspect my vehicle, rotate tires, replace oil, etc. All seemed well until a day later when I found out that the a/c mysteriously stopped working. I turned my car back over to them to give it a look and I get a surprising response that my whole unit is broken and will need to be replaced for just over $2k. Absurd. I took it to a friend of mine and it turned out that the mechanics at Honest-1 overfilled my unit with Refrigerant and caused it to stop working, it's an easy fix that certainly doesn't cost two thousand dollars. These people will take advantage of you if you have any naivety of cars and will break your car overtime to get more money out of you. Always get a second opinion and proceed with caution. I won't be coming back.

I have been coming to Honest -1 for almost a year and every interaction is an excellent experience. Our vehicles have always been serviced correctly and in a timely manner and the customer service is always top notch!!

I'm glad we found them! Liz, Frank, and assocs'. were very helpful. Was headed to Ormond Beach on vacation when we started having mechanical problems. Found Honest A1 on the net, called and made the next available appointment. Communication was good, plus as advertised, they were honest, relaying the facts that were discovered during troubleshooting, and made no attempt to sell us something unnecessary to complete repairs. They got us back on the road in plenty of time before our departure. I will definitely be using Honest A1 Automotive for any automotive repair or maintenance need I have when I am in the Ormond Beach, FL area.J. Devine

I have been going here since they first opened. They always keep you informed on the status of you vehicle till this time I dropped my 1967 Mustang convertible for some minor concerns. Muffler was ratting on the frame, rough engine, repair/replace flat tire, install 3 rear seat belts. They forgot to lock the car inside and left it out. After a week, I called them to see what was going on. The owner had previously said they would install for free, he had a similar Mustang, well $359.90 is not quite free. They did nothing for the rough engine. A leak in the radiator was originally repairable but a new replacement radiator now cost me $834.92 AND it was an shiny aluminum radiator and not an original replacement ( that I found for the same price) that now removes me from any car shows unless I want to be laughed at!!!!!OH yes, and the simple exhaust rattle was beyond their ability to repair!It is definitely not the same care repair shop that I used for so many yearsOh yes, the Mamager was going to call me a week ago to go over my concerns, he never calledVery different culture from when they used to put the customer satisfaction ahead of all other concers

Awesome! My fiance, Phil went in today to check a rattling in our exhaust pipe. The problem was found and fixed right away. Shaun and Frank were professional and knowledgeable of my car problem. I would highly recommend Honest-1 Auto Care in Ormond Beach to all my friends and family. Thanks for making my day!!!

Since I moved to Ormond (5 years ago) Honest One has always been where I go for routine maintenance on my vehice. I have always had a pleasant experience. Liz, Jay and all the staff are friendly, educated and take the time to review and explain what your vehicle requires to be repaired. They show patience and work with you. Lobby is clean. You can bring your office there and work if need be in their workstation area. Coffee is strong, which is great! I recommend Honest One... Thanks guys.

Rented a Uhaul truck. The truck was DIRTY, not the typical rental truck dirty but broken glass and other debris on the floor dirty. Otherwise, the staff was nice and got me set up quick and easy.

I just wanted to start off by saying Frank thank you for being attentive and kind over the phone call while i was trying to get in contact with U-haul. Jay you really did such heartfelt work the other day and i can t thank you enough. We had a terrible experience with budget and Jay changed everything around for us, allowed us to get a truck SO last minute for our across the country move. Jay got our truck ready for us and contracts all done within short notice and did it in such kind manner AND he did it after hours for us! Jay you made our move pull through and I hope you know you re amazing at what you do! Thank you so much.

Honest, if a bit expensive.They did great work for me: evaluated my car and figured out it was a VERY dead battery. Had me out the door and back on the road in short order. Labor to change said battery was quite pricey, however.

My truck has a coolant fluid leak. They tried charge me more than $1000 telling me my truck needed a new water pump. So I drove 5 min more and this really honest mechanic guy identified the problem on the thermostatic valve and charged me $60.

Horrible. $1500 for brakes, pads and rotors, oil change and one wheel bearing and were now at their other location which they are the same name but way nicer for one, caliper locked up.. Liz basically called me a liar and said she had told me about the caliper which she did not...anyhow pray that I don't ever have to go back there!!! I am not one to complain but I don't want anyone else to have the experience we have had!!! I am a single mom as my fiance unfortunately passed away and for them to rip us off is very sad!

A name carry a lot of weight, never consciously giving thought to a business name (Honest) was well beyond what I expected. Within a few minutes with the services representative ,I notice something a little unusual about my customer experience they where honestly customer conscious. Working in and environment that was very ,very ,clean and pleasant, efficient and very engaging. Restrooms tell a lot about any business establishment and it s credibility. My momma always say a bathroom tells everything about a person. Well the bathroom, the customer service with the two front people and the gentleman that sits in the back has mastered customer service and the business mission of being honest. You have mastered the competitive advantage of being a Honest business with customer satisfaction and honesty.

I would not I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was informed that there were 38 codes and it would take three hours to determine the issue. However, I decided to take my car to the Chevrolet dealership instead. They were able to clear the codes, test drove the car, and found that none of the codes reappeared. I obtained a printout from Chevy, which showed that all the codes were history codes and not currently active. In my opinion, Honest-1 is a complete scam. They attempted to deceive me into unnecessary services and even offered to purchase my car for their own benefit. It was a complete waste of time. I suggest taking your car to the dealership that manufactured it instead. I will upload pictures of the printouts later.

Had my 2009 F150 towed in for a blown Spark Plug and Coil. The helicoil needed to be replaced because it wouldn t achieve torque. They made sure it was the right part and it s been running great for months now. They kept me updated with pictures and info daily.

Car stalled on me had it towed there was told the alternator needed to be replaced, they want to charge me over 1000 bucks to do it. They said 400 for the alternator (O'Reilly's has them for 200) 350 for labor, and 180 for diagnosis, now most shops waive the inspection fee as long as you have the work done there, this is the first shop I been to that charges inspection and the price to fix. I mean I'm no mechanic but I've played around cars enough to know that over 1000 for an alternator is kinda steep.

I just want give a huge THANKS to honest 1 car care in Ormond! I called later in the afternoon on Friday and I was able to be scheduled for the next day - first thing in the morning! Liz was super sweet and helpful. Liz was very engaged and great with communication! I also opted to receive service updates via text messaging.... (i scheduled for my brakes ..which is vague as brakes may not always need to be done as a full replacement...) I received pictures of my whole vehicle - literally every angle, inside and out throughout the inspection. I was sent a "health" report and was aware of all the maintenance that needed to be done prior to the work being started / completed.I would certainly recommend initiating services with honest 1 car care in Ormond if you're "shopping around" for a place to service your vehicle.Services: Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance

We lost our AC at the beginning of a loooong trip back to canada in the sweltering heat. Honest 1 Ormond Beach Location saved the day. I don t think we ve ever met a more professional and conscientious, client focused business in the automotive industry. They truly went above and beyond to get us safely on our way in comfort. GREAT JOB. The employees were all outstanding and I suspect that kind of client focused service comes from the top. Honest-1 is, as the name implies, first and foremost, honest. I have had them service my older car for a number of years and I am always given a clear picture of what services are absolutely necessary for performance and/or safety as well as those services which could be delayed or are simply cosmetic or for my convenience as the driver.Furthermore, I am always called if there is a change in the required service and/or the stated estimate for the services being performed.I have always been 5-Star satisfied when I drive home.

Was referred by Car Max for Max Care Service. The phone was answered on my first attempt around 2PM. A very pleasant employee took down my information and offered an appointment the next morning at 8am. (I had already contacted the dealer but had to leave a message with the answering system, and they didn't return my call until 5:55PM that evening). I took my car in the next morning to HONEST-1 and they gave me a ride home. They have a great system of communication via text or email to keep you up-to-date on what's happening with your vehicle. Honest-1 called me back later in the afternoon to tell me what needed to happen, at the same time I received a text with photos and more explanation. I was then told I would probably have my car back the next afternoon. As promised, my car was ready early afternoon and they came back, picked me up, and they returned me to my car. Such efficient and great service. I would never hesitate to recommend them. They earned all 5 Stars!Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Auto brake repair, Wheel alignment, Oil change

Liz, and the whole team at honest 1 were amazing with helping get my 2011 Jeep Wrangler back on the road. Quickly diagnosed my faulty ecm, and had it replaced in no time. 100% plan to work with them in the future.
