I ve been taking my car to Griffis for the past few years, and I m sorry I didn t do it sooner instead of paying more at dealerships. They are not only thorough and trustworthy, they are good stewards of the community and support our local schools. My husband now brings his car to Griffis as well after too many frustrating experiences at the Ford dealership. Tim and Theresa always take good care of us. We are committed to supporting small businesses in our community and we are customers for life!

The check engine light came on in my work truck right around the time the ac went out. I needed to keep it off the road for a short a time as possible and work with a well respected local shop. They quoted me diagnostic price over the phone and gave me a clear sense of their availability. I dropped it off Monday late afternoon and had a call by noon Tuesday with a clear explanation of what was going on. Given the age of my truck they let me know what was recommended to take care of beyond the my immediate concerns. Nobody was pushy and they worked with me to prioritize what I needed to deal with right now and what I needed to space out. For the volume of work done I think it was a fair value for the expertise. I will happily use Griffis automotive again.

Every time I bring my autos to Griffis Automotive Repair, I am treated with the highest degree of customer service! They explain all services that need to be done and the cost of each one. I love dealing with them as they are so much more enjoyable than any Ford dealership!

My taillight bulb was shot, needed assistance getting the screws out for taillight, they were bolted shut. Called Griffis, spoke with Teresa and asked her how much would cost to have the bulb replaced, she said we usually don t charge for things like that, come on in and we ll take a look! Came in and spoke with Tim, he took a look at it, replaced my bulb with the new bulb I purchased within 5 mins, no cost. Trust me I wanted to compensate him for his time but he refused, told him I d pay for it with a review instead. If you are thinking about calling them for a quote/availability, DO IT!! Thanks Tim, Teresa, and Griffis Auto Family!!!

My car had a list of things that needed to be fixed, so I brought it here and Tim had it fixed and ready for me in two days. He was super helpful and very informative for every part of the process. By far the best mechanic shop around. You will NEVER find a more honest and upfront mechanic. They take their time and MAKE SURE they have correctly diagnosed your problem. Honest, reliable AND affordable - why would you want to go anywhere else.I highly recommend this shop!

Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.I have been coming here for over 25 years and I regret to say I will no longer be recommending them to my family and friends.Brought my truck in for repair work and when I got it back Tim was telling me they encountered some other issues and that the repair work they did may not work, and it may unfortunately require a much more expensive repair job. When I drove my truck away I could immediately tell it was having the same issues. So when I got home I checked the repair work-- I could not believe what I saw; it looked like somebody had used Thor's hammer to beat the new parts into submission!The next morning I went back and told Tim my truck was still acting up; he nodded and said he figured as much and that I needed the expensive repair.... I then showed him pictures of the shoddy repair work they did and chewed him out. He then admitted that I didn't need the expensive repair and said he would redo the original job correctly.So either he was lying and trying to cover it up, or he was simply incompetent; I will let you decide.IF you decide to take your car here please take pictures before and after the repair work and verify the job is done correctly and competently. Good luck and be wary.FOLLOWUP to OWNER'S RESPONSE:In your response you claim to have gone above and beyond your normal service to correct the botched repair you made on my car-- but in truth, you didn't even get that right. I spent an extra $850 on a new drive shaft, just to make your 2nd attempt as simple as possible; all you had to do now was install and torque 10 bolts. But when I got home I checked the bolts, and only 4 of the 10 were properly torqued.... the 2 carrier bearing bolts which were only supposed to have 27 ft-lbs were actually over 60 ft-lbs which could have resulted in premature failure if left uncorrected. Therefore I reiterate, after all these years, I will no longer recommend your garage to my family and friends, and I encourage others to look elsewhere, or at least take pictures and double-check any work done by your shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tim is an honest man. I purchased a new battery from him and within a year it was dead he not only replaced it with a new one but he upgraded it for no charge. He was great to work with and I highly recommend him.

Writing ANOTHER review. I did not write a review until after calling and talking with Tim at the shop. The response to my review seems like a joke. No one wanted to hear me out or make things right until AFTER I wrote a review. Then I start getting calls and texts to try to make things right Give me a break! That s why called in the first place. I hope the $238 was worth all this Not interested in fixing things so you can improve your google star rating. Try doing the right thing to begin with.

Brought my van in for an evac/freon recharge. Found out the AC was bad and needed to be replaced. A very TRUSTED mechanic who went to work on my van told me that it did in fact need a new AC but the lines were good and no leaks what so ever. Also told me there was NO refrigerant in the system at all! So much so that he said there so no way at all it had just been charged. He said it was clear the was an evac, but no Freon added. My trusted mechanic then doubleChecked for any leaks in the system and re charged the van, then let it sit for 3 days. Freon stayed full and charged. I called Tim at Griffis and explained all this to him. He told me his mechanics notes said he did an evac and recharge so that s all he has to go on. Waste of $234 (which is over priced for this job in the first place). I m very disappointed this couldn t be made right. Everyone seemed nice and to me this seems like an honest mistake. But no one wants to admit it.Service: Auto A/C recharge

A friend recommended Griffis to me and I'm glad I went there. I've had trouble with my fuel pump for sometime. Called and talked to Tim. He took care of the problem and had my truck back to me the same day. Great job.

Great Shop. I needed work done on the fly and they were able to accommodate. The management was fantastic and easy to work with the the tech was able to walk me through what was needed and pricing. Awesome Job!

Ok. So I had the hardest of the hardest repair on my old girl. Griffis went to the ends of the earth to find one little part they don t make anymore to get her back on the road. I have to say Tim never gave up and bent over backwards to make me happy. I ve lived here over 20 years and I ve never been to a more amazing auto shop. Highly recommended them to my entire family and they ve done a lot of work for all of us. If you want a job done right, this is your place.

Recently my wife had her oil changed at Griffis. A couple days later, Tim the owner called to follow up and make sure the car was good and to thank us for our business. Little things like that go a long way with me. It was only an oil change but we were treated as if though we were his #1 customers. The entire experience was great. He has a nice shop that is clean and tidy. It s definitely a reflection of the quality of work that they do. They ve earned my lifelong business. 10 out of 10, Highly recommend!Service: Oil change

I went to Griffis couple weeks ago. I was terrified about the damages in my car, I went to other places before because I didn t know about Griffis, but no one wanted to take my car a Friday. However, in Griffis I felt very comfortable. They took my car, they always kept me updated, they made a complete diagnostic about what my car needs and I had my car back same day (Friday) before the end of the day. I would recommend this place 100%. People is very nice also. One more thing, a week after the repair they called me to check if everything is going well with the car. I will definitely go back to do maintenance and follow their suggestion regarding my car. Thanks again to Griffis!Service: Auto water leak repair

I brought my car in for A/C issues (audi). The team here was so kind and professional. They gave me all pricing upfront, and called me to inform me of increases in that price and thoroughly broke down each charge. They know what they are doing, and were so informative and happy to help me whether I decided to move forward with them for the repair or not. On that alone, I will be returning to Griffis with any future car troubles. Thank you so much!

Griffin Auto repair did a super job. They got the cooling system running like a new car for a very reasonable price. The car is a 14 year old Hyundai. We even decided to have them do the oil pan and valve cover gasket. This place has fixed more than one car for me on several occasions. Very trustworthy and honest. Tim explains everything in detail and gives analogies that make sense to those of us that don t know cars without sounding condescending. Everyone is super nice and professional. I was in Orlando visiting family when I experienced a crank / no start on my diesel SUV. I looked up a diesel repair shop with great reviews and it was Griffis Automotive.After speaking with the young lady in the front office (Friday), explaining to her that I was in town from WY, & had to get home, she told me to have the vehicle towed into their shop parking lot and their mechanics would look at it Monday morning.I received two possible culprits for the crank / no start from their mechanics, both came with an estimated cost for both courses of action.I OK d them to go ahead and have at it, and in a matter of a few days, they secured the new part, installed it, and let me know it was ready to roll.I drove it practically non-stop 2,300 miles back home to WY with 100% confidence in their work, as well as 100% no troubles during the drive across country.100% professional100% upfront100% honest.I m 100% satisfied.They were even kind enough to put up my windshield sun blocker to protect some electronic modules I have installed in my drivers side pillar.In addition, they even took the time to send me a Thank you for choosing us card.

My vehicle repair at Griffis was easily one of the best automotive and customer service experiences I've had to date. I came in with a critical problem and they were able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve the issue in a surprisingly quick manner. The office kept me informed of changes to my project which came in on budget and on time. I look forward to getting more miles out of my vehicles by maintaining and repairing them with Griffis.
