Took my car in for oil leak issue. Was charged $1400 to fix. Not long after, oil leaking again. I took it back in and was told it would cost another $1200!!! I spoke to Justin, asking if they could do better on price since I just spent $1400. He offered to take off $100. Not good enough. I feel totally used and taken advantage of.

My 20 year old car with 330,000 miles was running great butafter 1/2 hour of driving was idling at 4500 rpm. The othershop couldn't find anything wrong with it and I was toldI should have the engine rebuilt. Now it was idling perfectbut I cannot drive it at that high of idle even though it hasa stick shift manual transmission. Oldsmar automotive figuredout it was multiple items including idle air control valve and throttle accelerator cable. Was informed that throttle cablehave been discontinued for the car but somehow they found one.It looks like it is longer than the original equipment onebut it works.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

If you are a woman, I would NOT recommend taking your car here. They refuse to listen to you.I took my car in for an issue with my car braking. They had it for 2 days, and then after I paid and went to drive away, I noticed that my brake pedal felt spongy and was sinking. I went back into the building to let them know there was a problem, but Justin reassured me that everything was perfect. I picked up my son, and as I was driving home, sitting at a red light... my brake pedal sank to the floorboard, then my car lurched forward, 3 times. Not only is this scary, but it has almost caused an accident and is 100% completely unsafe for myself and my child. These guys should be ashamed of themselves for putting us in danger all for the $669 I paid with my hard earned money. I now have to spend more money to drive a rental car to get through until this can be fixed. Word of warning... DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR TO DRIVE SAFELY.

These guys are awesome! I would give them 10 stars if I could. The facility is very clean and inviting. The staff is very knowledgeable and they provide exceptional customer care. Always fair in their assessments and price. I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend. Great people performing high quality, efficient, & honest work. Took my 2020 toyota camry for an oil change and engine inspection. This was my second visit. This time with a different car I own. I set up appointment and specifically asked if they worked on my make of car and was told they did and had serviced a few. When I arrived to drop car off they refused to work on my car . Stating it wouldn't fit on the lift , but a lift wasn't needed for what I needed done. He also stated that the person making the appointment didn't know what he was talking about. I'm giving 3 stars as I assume they were being truthful but did waste a lot of my time. Just be careful as some one was not telling me the truth and that raises a red flag to me.

Justin and his team have serviced my 2003 Toyota Seqouia for many years. They recently resolved a fuel emission issue. They do great work at a fair price. My Kia Rio stalled while driving on a Saturday evening. I had my car towed that evening to Oldsmar Automotive. On Monday a.m. even though they had many customers they got my vehicle in asap for a diagnostic. They were able to determine that there was a wiring issue that was blowing a fuse to the ignition coil. They were not able to fix it. This had NOTHING to do with their capibility. They were 100% honest that it needed to go to the dealership where they have the correct schematics of the vehicle.I was happy with the customer service, honesty, and price were very fair. Because they were able to isolate my vehicles issue to wiring I was able to save over $1000 at the dealership who pulled codes on both crankshaft position sensor and full body throttle replacement. The dealership was going to replace both of those items due to the codes and that wouldn't have solved the issue. I trust the mechanics at Oldsmar Automotive and will be taking my vehicle with any issue that does not need dealership involvement. Thank you again!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

The owner is honest and friendly. He doesn't over charge or take a long time to do your repairs. I went to him with water pump issues. He fixed it and didn't try to push any other repairs on me, even though there was a lot wrong with the van. I recommend him to everyone I meet with car problems.

I could not ask for a better experience than what I got. I was getting my windows tinted next door and decided to see about a quote. Justin gave me a quote that I could not refuse. Got my vehicle in the next day. Dropped off in morning picked up after work. When picked up they were cleaning up and drove the vehicle. Runs great. Even got to talk shop with Justin. I am going to come back for other vehicle needs and will highly recommend.Service: Engine repair

Justin is fantastic. He took a look at my transmission issues, did some research and even called around for my part for free. He was unable to find a replacement part, as they are no longer made, and so he did not charge me anything.Honesty AND excellent customer service in a mechanic? I don't know if I've ever found both in a mechanic.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! I was referred here by a friend after getting an outrageous quote from a competitor. I requested an online quote for Oldsmar automotive and received it early the next morning. I called the next day and they were able to squeeze me in on very little notice (about 2 hours) to take a look at the car for themselves and they determined that some of the services I had been quoted for weren t even necessary for another 60k miles on my vehicle. They were able to get me scheduled for the repairs just a few days later and managed to do the job for even LOWER than their previous estimate which was already about half of what I would have been paying at the other place. I went from looking at a $4500-$5500 job to spending less than $1500 in total thanks to Justin and his team. Thank you again for the excellent service and for saving me an absolute fortune. Also there is a Starbucks/Panera a couple hundred yards away which is an excellent place to knock out some work if you re stuck there for a bit and they also have a rent-a-car right next door should you need a temporary vehicle. 5 stars across the board from my personal experience and I will certainly be back.

I had a mild lift installed on my Tundra and they were reasonably priced, had done in an afternoon, and was professional and courteous.After the lift, they aligned it as well, and it wasn't quite perfect. Justin suggested we wait a few miles for the springs to settle and offered to realign at no charge.The subsequent alignment is perfect.These guys are honest, upfront and take good care of their clients. I will be visiting them for more if/when needed.

Where do I start? Always EXTREMELY friendly, courteous, and you always know they are doing the best for your vehicle. Have had work done here twice, and both times the service was expedited quickly and efficiently. Prices are very affordable and they are honestly looking out for your best interest when it comes to where you are spending your money. Couldn't give them a 10-star review but would if I could!

Justin and his team fixed a problem that I had with my transmission for a fraction of the price I thought it would be. They could have taken me for a ride and listed off a number of repairs that I really didn t need, but they aren t like that. I get the feeling that they are going to take care of me. For a long time I ve been searching for a place that I don t have to worry about when I drop off and pick up my truck. Oldsmar Automotive is that place.

I would definitely recommend O.A. To anyone looking for genuine, quality, reasonable pricing work. I came to them with a series of problems with my car and within a day they had it fixed, serviced and running like brand new. 100% cheaper than had I brought it to the dealership and been charged a arm & leg. I was fortunate to find Oldsmar Automotive and Justin about a year ago. He has helped me out with my old jalopy keeping it running not only in a timely manner but in the most least expensive way possible His knowledge is great, personal, professional. Went in for the first tune up in 100K miles on my old Kia. Before, it was running a little rough and didn't seem to get up to speed fast. Now, it's quieter than it ever was, has that get up and get into traffic safely pep that's been missing for the last year. Had the brakes done previously here and not a single issue with anything they've done on my car.

I don't normally trust Auto mechanics but the new owner seemed very nice. The guy that called about my repair cost, not so much. The repair was really expensive $900+ and I was told I wouldn't have to pay the $40 diagnostic fee if they did my work but they still charged me anyway and I didn't notice until after the fact.I said I found the parts online way less than what I was quoted but the mechanic said they wouldn't warrant anything they didn't get....but that's why I have trouble trusting mechanics...BUT I will probably give them another chance. I wish I made $85 an hour.

This is the best place to take your car. Prices are way less than you pay at other places. Everyone is super nice, HONEST and they wont do any work on your car that doesn't need it. I've been a customer of theirs for a few years with several older vehicles and they are quite simply the best around. Thank you Jose and Justin.

Oldsmar auto is a great old fashioned style garage. Not affiliated with any car companies so are able to work on anything from classic hotrods to family minivans. And everything in between. Great prices, friendly knowledgeable staff and exemplary customer service. I never take any of my cars anywhere but Oldsmar Automotive. Only the best.

I checked many prices in the area when I needed 4 new tires. This was far and away the best deal I found. I also had my brake pads replaced. They were very honest about everything I needed. If you are looking for an honest reliable mechanic this is the place to go!

We are new to the area and I truly cannot find enough words to express my gratitiue for the troubleshooting and work done on our vehicle. I have never meet a mechanic that was willing to go to great lengths to help their customers till I came to Oldster Automotive( which is under new management). Justin the manager went above and beyond to help us. I definitely recommend them for any issues you may have mechanically as they are honest and upfront about everything which is truly hard to find these days. Thank You once again!
