Brought in my 05 Dodge Ram 3500 with a wiring problem. If any of you have traced down this kind of a problem, is a pain.They went right to work. Checking and testing. After a couple hours, they found the problem. Short in wiring going to brake light on top of the cab. Work was done professionally, and everything works fine now. Great job at a good price. I'm very happy.

The service was absolutely horrendous. Lied to me over the phone about when my car would be seen. They couldn t even tell me what was wrong with my car and they had it for around 3 weeks. Left me questioning their capability to do the work right. Left my window down outside in the rain and there s now mold all over the backseat of my car and over my stuff I had in the backseat. Several hundred dollars worth of stuff ruined because of their ignorance. Absolutely disrespectful and can t believe they run business this way

Always polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Made an appointment. Had brakes checked and repaired.. Work done on time and only replaced what was necessary. Clean work and fair price

Girl who answers phone is extremely rude. Said the guy i got a quote from prolly doing it wrong since he was able to gove me quote right away and she needed time to draw up a quote??? For my head gasket replacement. I know they need sent off to machine shop so did he lol but thanks for making my choice easier to not pick yall.

Had my car 4 weeks, traced problem with my car,found it was my ac compressor short charged almost 400.00$ and someone used my touchscreen radio with a sovelent and messed up my pioneer stereo,said they didn't do it finally accepting their fault but never fiollowed thru with a replacement.

Our sons car broke down late on a weekend. We had it towed here after looking on line. They had it fixed by noon on Monday for a VERY reasonable price. Would highly recommend this shop. We were miles away and they were fast, honest and pleasant!

I can't speak for their automotive repair skills, because the situation I/my car is in, but I can sure talk about their abysmal communication skills.I call on a Wednesday, they say bring it first thing Monday morning.I bring it in at 8AM Monday, the receptionist says she'll call me when they have updates. Fair enough, they're busy. The mechanic hooks it up to a computer, realizes he cant read any codes because the batteries been unhooked and the car hasn't had the issue since. Fair enough. But no call.On Tuesday I give them plenty of time under the assumption they're still busy. I call them at 3PM, the receptionist says she hasn't had any updates on my car but she'll ask the mechanic and call me back in a few minutes. Close to 2 and a half hours later, still no call, so I call back and am immediately put on hold. I'm on hold until the shop closes, which isn't long since I didn't know that the shop was closing soon. But you think instead of asking someone to hold they would just say "the shop is closing soon, please call back tomorrow"It's now Wednesday, and I'm annoyed. I call back and the receptionist says she hasn't heard anything, apparently their customer communication skills aren't the only ones that need work, because for a shop with only a couple bays, you think they'd be able to talk to each other. I bring this all up to the receptionist, and she asks "what am I supposed to call you when I don't have any information?" and as someone who's worked customer service focused jobs, yes you absolutely should call someone back if you say you will, even if its to tell them there's been no updates. But her not calling me is a good thing, because it's annoyed me enough to complain and she says she'll have the mechanic call me, she also hangs up when I mention how unprofessional this all is, go figure. The mechanic calls and tells me that my car can be picked up, that he hooked it up and there are no codes to indicate the problem (as mentioned earlier). A 1 minute phone call, that would have been shorter if I didn't complain about this ordeal. Maybe the mechanic doesn't know the shops phone number to tell the receptionist I can pick up my car, because at that point being busy isn't an excuse, the mechanic or the receptionist should have communicated with each other.

These guys did a great job. I had an electrical gremlin, preventing my AC from working. They were able to track down the issue and have it going within a day of taking the truck into the shop. They are very busy so I would recommend making an appointment would definitely recommend them to everyone needing needing a good honest shop

I am elderly widow whose Husband took care of car. I have taken my 2006 Trailblazer to HighTech 3 different times. HighTech is exceptional on their friendliness, helpfulness to an old woman who knows nothing about cars.I heard a noise that I thought was tie rods or wheel bearings.. they found my noise coming from bumper..fixed it. Thank you HighTech.

Honest, fast, and reasonable!!!We had a rubbing noise coming from the back passenger side of our van.They got us in checked it out found it was a plate rubbing on the wheel assemble. They corrected the problem and only charged us $77.A non reputable repair shop might have made up a bogus issue and charge us an arm and a leg. Great group of mechanics.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Do not go here if you actually need your car and don't like being run around the bush. I dropped my car off at 8:30 am on a Thursday for a general maintenance check and some breaks just to not get it back till closing time the next day. Now, I would understand if I just dropped it off and there were other cars in front of mine but no, I made an appointment a week prior to the drop off date, so they knew exactly when my car would be dropped off.Secondly, good luck getting ahold of them. A total of 15 calls later throughout the day just to get an update on my car that was supposed to be done hours and hours before.Lastly, they overcharge worse then I've probably ever seen and the lady at the front desk has no idea what's going on 90% of the time. She's sweet and kind but not really built to do the job she's doing, at least from our experience.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

We took our truck to Hi-Tek Auto on the recommendation of a towing company. We had gone to one area mechanic who correctly diagnosed a key problem. We took the truck to the local Ford dealership to get a new key made. They decided we needed a new fuel pump instead and said they messed up when making the new key and had to order another. Soon after, the truck would not start and the dealership said we would need a new ignition. Tow driver recommended Hi-Tek because Ivor made brand specific keys. Turns out there was NO problem with the ignition and we probably never needed the fuel pump either. He made 2 new Ford keys and everything starts and runs perfectly. Ivor was 100% honest and 100% knowledgeable which saved us from having parts replaced unnecessarily.We will take our vehicles to him again even though there will be a wait.Katrina was great too. We got so much help from both of them.

I give 4 stars to this automotive mechanic shop. They have always been swift with their work and honest about how long it will take. I did have one issue on my first visit but after I brought it back they fixed me car right up. Glad to say I will recommend them even if they don't want to service my car again because it's a Daewoo.( Foreign ) keep up the solid work guys.

I'm new around these parts lol, so when my car broke down, i panicked. One regular established business everyone likes to have is their car mechanic, & here I was didn't know anything about any of them. So i asked a neighbor, & she said Hi-Tek. She was right.Quick, professional, understanding, convenient... They were great. Now I say "quick"-- that's from the time of your appt, & yes call, bc you need an appt. The first time i called there was a 5 day wait-list, & actually I'm not complaining about that, bc it means that business is trusted. I waited a day or two, and then was able to get in the next day the next time i called.Highly recommended business. No wonder they often have a wait-list. I'm very grateful i had the right neighbor to recommend them. Neighbors are important in small towns.. Be a good one!

It's usually busy but Ivor is the best, always fair and honest and personable. Hires the best people, especially Katrina. I still prefer to bring my vehicles here even after I moved to Clearwater.

The team at Hi-Tek Auto made time for a last minute appointment to investigate suspension troubles. When it became clear that it wasn't safe for me to continue driving without a repair, they took care of it immediately, without requiring me to book an additional appointment. This despite the long list of jobs they had to complete that day. Very professional, knowledgable and helpful staff - they went above and beyond.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I brought my Tundra here! My issue was slightly resolved but way over priced! Still left not knowing fully what was wrong with my truck. It runs but my check engine light is still on after $2300 later. I believe when mechanics see a women come into a shop they see dollar signs and over charge you! The owner was very nice and professional. I just wish he could of followed through and completely complete whatever it was to get that check engine light off. $2300 is a lot of money and should of been corrected completely!

Ivan and the whole crew here are amazingly fast, convenient and affordable. Five stars aren t nearly enough for them. Plus, they have dog they rescued a few years ago, Bella. Dogs are a great judge of people, and Bella adopted them before they rescued her!

Thought it was going to be a good experience it wasn't took to long and wasn't impressed at all with service too busy making the big bucks on police cars no time for the average person car told my cars not worth fixing and showed me police car he was doing the same job on? It was good enough to be repaired

These guys actually care about your car! They have worked on my late model kia (replaced alternator & timing belt) and on both occasions the work was done right the first time. The mechanics are dedicated & knowledgeable. The owner, Ivor, is personally involved in each job, giving guidance & oversight as they work together for perfection. There is a palatable sense of teamwork at this shop, the guys seem to enjoy working there. That says alot about a place.As a woman, I did not feel any "automotive chauvanism", nor that I was being price goudged. Katrina in the office, altho busy, was pleasant at all times of the day, called me back when she said she would & worked with my schedule.Owning a car with 195,000 miles on it, I am so relieved to know mechanics I can trust.

After trying to explain my frustration with my truck being next in line and telling me that my truck is in a bay and will be done friday I called and no one returned my call. After trying a few times I got the office lady and she told me that Ivan was sick and it might not get done till Monday and seeing my truck hooked to fwl air boat and was told that there was no other truck they could use. I get a call from Ivan himself and tried to explain to him and instead of being apologetic he got pissed and told me he didn t want it back. After me havin brought my truck in two weekends before and being extremely satisfied now I won t go back for two reasons. One he said he don t want me back and two: they have no respect nor appreciation for costumers. I would have been satisfied with a hey bubs. I m Not feeling well and can I take care of it another day? but no calls or heads up. Ended up costing me a lot more and loosing out on more money due to the actions of the office. I am the most understanding person and me working in the medical field I understand people get sick and things happen. Just give me a heads up or anyone. If they are good enough to pay then be good enough too keep them informed.

I had a pre-purchase inspection done on a 2009 Corvette by Hi-Tek. Very good experience with these guys, turn around time was quick, inspection was thorough and honest, and was priced fairly. Definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.

Had my car two months.. he charged alot and my car is still broken. Returned car very dirty and with a few dings and scratches.Very disappointed ..... truly a hardship getting my car out of there....Only relief is that I got my car out! two plus months of suffering.... then you get a high bill, my car not running and car dings and scratches.Sad.

Hi-Tek Automotive was excellent the service was outstanding. The people knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Ivor runs a great shop and his crew explains issues and corrective measures plainly. I found the pricing to be extremely fair and feel I got the best deal I could have any where. I will use no other mechanic in Okeechobee other than Hi-Tek Automotive. I own an rx 7 and had trouble finding a shop to repair my exhaust the way I wanted it done (I only found 1 other shop even willing to do the repair and not how I wanted it ran) let alone attempt to do any other engine tuning. Thank you Ivor I will be using you again in the near future.

I got multiple things "fixed" on my car there last year. Every time I'd get it back, something else would go wrong to the tune of thousands of dollars and a four month stretch where I rarely had my own car. I took it in to a different shop today for breaks because they were already making a noise again, only to learn that I had fairly new brake pads on the front but, the rotors front and back were bad as well as the back brake pads. I was told that whomever "fixed" my brakes never did a thing besides putting new brake pads on only the front.

Most Professional Automotive shop in Okeechobee County. The owner Alvar holds a degree in mechanical engineering he's extremely knowledgeable incredibly courteous and willing to work with his customers couldn't recommend this shop more.
