The car definitely runs much better, stronger, smoother and the shaking at the steering wheel is gone. it was expensive, but what isn t? I m glad I had you do the work. The reason you re not getting a 5 star review is because when I opened the hood the next day, this is what I saw! See photos. The Saturday before I brought my car in I had cleaned and I ArmorAll the engine. So after spending $943 I get back a filthy engine??? It would have only taken 5 minutes to clean the oil off. Which makes me hope the mechanic paid better attention to detail when he was working on my carb.

I have a 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. I came to Ocala to visit my father and show him the car. While down there the Car started over heating. I called around to different shops in Ocala and the only one who would work on it was Ocala Auto Repair. They replaced the head gaskets and timing cover gasket and fixed the leak. In addition they rebuilt everything to be top of performance so the engine will not have any more issues.Their works is so good I am already talking to them about being it back for more work

Go see the guys at Ocala Auto! I have used Ocala Auto Repair for several years with different vehicles. (for regular repair/maintenance and another as a classic resto-mod project) These guys know their stuff and will treat you honestly and fairly. For regular maintenance and repair, they are flexible and ready to help you in any way they can. For my resto-mod project, they really knocked it out of the park!!! They took my beat up c10 and turned it into a stunner! If you are looking to start a classic build, Ocala Auto Repair is the place to go. I would recommend you educate yourself about the process and communicate what you need/want and can afford throughout the process. My old c10 turned out exactly how I imagined and I have OAR to thank!

I am not from the area, but I had an auto emergency and just picked a name of a shop to help me. I could not be more pleased with the help and service that I received. Jason bent over backwards to help me with my situation. I highly recommend using the business. They actually care about helping you, not just making money off you.

I have a 2013 Chevy Impala and the A/C stopped working completely.I looked up countless shops and looked at the years in business and their reviews and Ocala Auto Repair stood out.The price was about $1000 dollars cheaper than the previous quotes and, from the first phone call to picking up my Impala, I was thoroughly impressed and felt cared for. Each step of the way I was communicated with and kept up to date.They have an amazing person in Jason (at the front desk) and an amazing business. I hope time is good to them and they keep getting all of the love and attention they deserve.A/C is still blowing cold! Thank you guys.

Just left as a satisfied customer!! Great service from great employees and combine that with great prices and I left smiling! The ac in my car stopped blowing cold and they squeezed me in last minute and now my ac is back cold again!! 5 Star Auto shop...I highly recommend!!!

Diagnosed more than a front end alignment was needed. So replacing the worn out ball joints which will make the alignment possible was done on the advice of the technician.I was advised to return to recheck the alignment under warranty. Nice follow up and a great place to have car repairs done.Thanks gentlemen.Franco

There are Automotive Repair companies that talk a good game, then there is Ocala Auto Repair.They set expectations, then OVER deliver!!!Ocala Auto repair will define what needs to be done, (NEVER push), discuss options, consider a plan, and let you decide! I like doing my own repairs, but in certain situations that s not always possible. These guys proved to me they are trustworthy, reliable and professional. The bill was more than reasonable, I couldn t be happier. It s very rare for me to give a review, but these guys are awesome. Thank you!

Ocala Auto repair has a great team. They took care of my '66 Lincoln when no one else wanted to touch it. Jason kept me informed throughout the repairs. They went above and beyond and I'm happy to say that I finally have my car on the road driving perfectly.

This place is legit. Wife's well maintained VW lost compression in a cylinder #1 outta nowhere. I couldn't find someone locally I trusted enough so I researched O.A.R. and was impressed with their reviews. I spoke with Jason on the phone and let him know what was up. He gave me some options... They'll tear into it and pull the cylinder head off and go from there. Worse case, it would require a rebuild or replacement engine. I told them to take their time and let me know. The head came off and was inspected... Everything look fine. The problem was on the bottom end. Jason located me a used low mileage complete engine and placed an order. Couple weeks later, I got the call it was tested and ready to be picked up. An engine swap is a pretty big deal and these guys handled it with ease. Many thanks to Jason and his crew!

They went out of their way to be kind during a very stressful time for us. Our car was towed there after an accident. Jason walked us through the process with insurance and made calls to find us a rental. Travis drove us to 3 rental car companies. They were so sweet. Customer service like we used to expect, but rarely get anymore.

I can t say enough nice things about Ocala Auto Repair, specifically Jason and Frank. I had a minor fender bender in my 2005 automobile. Because of the age of the car and the claimed difficulty in finding parts, my insurance company wanted to salvage the vehicle. I happen to love and take excellent care of this vehicle, so it was in wonderful shape, except for a dented fender, slightly crunched hood and broken headlight. I had taken it for an estimate to one of the big name auto repair places in Ocala and because my insurance company had marked it as a salvage, they refused to work on it. Through a bit of research I found Ocala Auto repair, and Jason immediately looked at the photos I emailed him and went to work on finding before market parts for my repair. He had them all lined up within a day (so much for the insurance company claiming it would be difficult to find parts). When I took the vehicle into the shop, both he and Frank (who does the body work) looked at the car and assured me that they could fix it as good as new. Since I was going to be out of town, I was not in a huge rush to get it back, but they got the work done promptly. I was shocked when I picked it up because it truly did look as good as new. I had absolutely no issues in getting the car through the inspection process with DMV to have the car retitled. It was quick and painless.Jason followed up with me and even reminded me to bring my car back in at the 30 day mark so that they could touch up any places that needed it and buff it out again as well. Jason s communication is top-notch and he is a real asset to the company. I will definitely be using Ocala Repair for future repairs.

I brought my son s car in to get the alternator put in. Very impressed . They even did a thorough system check to make sure it in fact was the alternator before I purchased it from autozone next door . They were very honest and affordable . The waiting room was amazing with coffee , phone charger station and tv while you wait. I will definitely be back for any other service I need done . I Highly recommend these guys. They were amazing .

First time visiting this location and being new to Ocala I can say from my first experience it was Veryyy pleasant and welcoming the staff was awesome polite and very understanding helpful to the fullest. They were very kind to my nieces that was with me they had goodies for them to snack on while we waited which they loved and complementary coffee which is always a plus being that I m Hispanic and love coffee . I would aswell like to thank them for there honesty they told me what was wrong and explained to me that what I was told at another location was totally unacceptable and wrong they fixed what needed to be fixed and gave me a printout and a estimated price of future services that I am going to need done .I Highly recommend them for any auto repairs u may need done it s nice to see that there are still honest ppl in this world that aren t out for ur money but love doing there job and continue to be honest this will be my place to go as far as any of my cars to be serviced . ONCE AGAIN THANK U so very much

Stay Away From This Shop!!!No real mechanics on staff here. They are all about ripping off older people, especially older women. Have an elderly woman friend that took her car in for fuel troubleshoot. $1200 worth of work that did not have anything to do with issue. Took car back, they told her they had no idea what the problem was. Found out the so called idiot mechanic put the spark plug wires on wrong. Shady business practices, stay far away!!!

We took our car in a few months ago and they did a great job.We took the car back in last week for a few issues and they charged over 2k to replace some rotting power steering hoses and replaced plugs wires and coils.We got the car back last night to a loud noise in the steering. I called Jason back today and he said that the pump needed replaced. When I asked him why that wasn't addressed he told me they were supposed to do the hoses and they did not notice any noises. They wanted to charge us another 500.00 to replace the pump.When I asked how they could have missed the sound after the work and did a test drive he just said they didn't hear any noise when the tech drove it. He mentioned the tech a few more times before claiming he him self had moved the car and didn't hear it.We will not go back there. Something shady is going on to get peoples money. How do you do a "full evaluation" of a system and not check everything in the system?We will have the car looked at elsewhere and see what's really going on.Very disappointed.

Had a fantastic experience working with Ocala Auto. My car broke down on a trip going up i75 and was stuck outside of Ocala. Jason arranged transportation for my vehicle to their shop and they had it fixed within 48hrs.

What can I say except, wonderful!!!! Work was completed and done beautifully. My truck rides and drives like a dream now and the body repair and painting was fantastic!! Update: They're amazing, look no further. I left my original review below just after my first visit but have continued coming here for a couple years, and continued to be VERY pleased. I've dealt with some shady and downright dishonest mechanics before, but even in a sticky situation these guys will work with you in the best way possible. I am so grateful to have tried them. Nobody likes spending money on repairs but at least here I can feel good about it and confident that I am using a trusted, honest, and friendly business.
