I cannot say enough great things Lopez Auto Repair. They are quick, honest and with fair pricing. Mr. Lopez probably saved several hundred dollars on my last repair by not doing what other shops do, replacing parts that are not needed. The communication from Mrs. Lopez on your vehicle needs and cost is much apprenticed. Fair & Honest

I needed a valve stem replaced on a tire that was off the vehicle. They fit me in immediately and it took like 5-7 minutes to do. Friendly Americans as well. the lady at the front desk is a rude person.. i honestly thought i would be going to a home owned establishment but unfortunately not. she treated me horrible. and i asked a simple question on how long it would be just to turn off a maintenance light in my car.. but she kept saying i don t know honey in a rude and unprofessional way or to come back tomorrow but it wasn t feasible.

I recently had the need to find a car repair shop for a problem with 2 tires. One tire was straight forward .easy to find problem and easy repair. The other tire was a challenge . a mystery. I went to Lopez Auto Repair in hopes of getting my vehicle fixed. My vehicle put me down, and I called his shop and asked Mrs. Lopez if I could have it towed to their shop. She said yes without any hesitation. That was my only transportation to work, needless to say I was frustrated. I was overwhelmed and want to express how professional and courteous Mr. and Mrs. Lopez conduct their business. My vehicle was in desperate need of repair. Mr. Lopez immediately invested his time, effort and honesty and explained the entire process along with showing me the problem with the vehicle. I was so happy that he was able to ensure me that he could fix it. He did a great job, not to mention how hot it is, but he was determined to get me rolling again. If you live in the SW Ocala, Belleview, Dunnellon, etc. or any where in the area I strongly recommend going to Lopez Auto Repair. They are great people and also very humble. Original review: around May 2022: Like many others, I found this family-owned business to be honest and reliable. They replaced a gear shift cable on the day. Their prices are up-front, and they inform you in advance.They also found some leaks, and the estimate to fix was probably worth more than my car. But they said this was not an urgent job, and informed me how to keep the car going for a while much more cheaply. Businesses that do the best for their customers, rather than just go after as much money as possible, will gain my repeat custom, and that of my wife.We have just moved into Marion Oaks, and we are very pleased that there is such a high-quality mechanic close by. Mrs Lopez runs the front desk in a friendly manner as well, We will be back.Update, October 2023: indeed I have been back a few times, both for my car and my wife's. With current interest rates and car prices, it is more effective to keep our old cars going when they are still comfortable and mostly sound. So I asked them to fix those leaks after all.The most expensive job was replacement of a torque converter for my 2001 Pontiac Montana. When the TC goes, it sends in metal fragments that damage the gearbox, so that needs replacement. But the cost for both replacements was far less than I thought it would be (looking at websites).When it comes to my wife's 2007 Landrover LR3, when we lived in GA, many mechanics refused to touch it, and even the Dealerships didn't want to touch an older car. But Mr Lopez has always accepted the job. E.g. a leak in the passenger cabin is often a heater core problem, which is expensive because it is hard to reach. But Mr Lopez tested the coolant pressure and found no drop, meaning this expensive job was not necessary. Yet another example, when the LR3 had a slight problem in keeping straight, he found serious wearing on the front tyres because of a mistake by another place in wheel alignment, which could have been dangerous. So we took it back to that place, which was good enough to both fix alignment and replace tyres.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission repair, Brakes, Oil change

The staff is amazing. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and I actually saw them help a lady who damaged her bumper ( fixed it with some straps) and told her no charge!! Best ever service. Would rate 6 stars if I could. My check engine light came on and I had to make an emergency stop. They put me first and solved the issue quickly and efficiently. This company is absolutely the best just bought an old car took it to them not only did they get me in before they opened they had an extremely reasonable price for the amount of work they do! This is the second time they took in my car (which they were already closed) great customer service job extremely well done! My engine light came on and as I was searching for an auto repair shop that worked on imported cars, I read on Nextdoor that Lopez Auto repair came highly recommended by people living in The Villages, Florida. After MONTHS of taking our Toyota Sienna to different mechanics in our area and getting the runaround from all of them, we discovered Lopez Auto Repair. We found them to be honest and gave us several options to fix our van. The problems with our vehicle were catastrophic, but Lopez got us back on track. We'll definitely return if we have any other issues with our vehicles.

Walked in for an oil change and was told to come back in the after noon, I did, they changed the oil. Called for an appt the next time and they had an opening in 10 days at 9am, I made it. I arrived 15 minutes late, head guy said "You're late" I replied "yes, can you still get me in?" He looked at me thoughtfully, then said "you'll have to reschedule" There was nobody there, no cars in the garage. Maybe it's my imagination but the communist news network playing in their lobby added to my gut feeling that he was snobbing me because I'm an 1- American 2-White 3-Woman.Service: Oil change

My car died on me and I had 2 mobile mechanics bail on me. Lopez Auto had a tow service and they were able to have my car up and running literally within 24 hours after pick up. Definitely recommend!Service: BatteryService: Battery

Recent Update: Satisfied Customer Yet Again! Rushing out the door and on my way to work, my car would not start. I was stranded. I called Lopez Auto Repair and within the hour the tow truck got there and towed my car. My car got fixed and I drove away a happy and satisfied customer again. Lopez Auto are truly honest and professional. They strive to give the best service and customer experience possible. A*****have gone to Lopez Auto Repair for the past 3 years whenever I've had car problems on my 2007 Ford or just need and oil and filter change The very first time, was because they were close by my house but they were very professional and got the job done right. I thought it was something major but was pleased that it was just a minor issue. I moved to the other side of town a year ago. My car recently would not turn on. I literally had my car towed to them because they earned my trust and they always provide great service. I went it the dealership when my AC was blowing hot air.. I was told an estimate of 2600$ and I heard about Lopez Automotive. He immediately went to work on my car, since my car is my business. I didn't miss a beat and it was the cost because Mr Lopez was honest and fair. Mrs Lopez is amazing with customer service. They are friendly, yet professional. Warning!! go to your dealership of your car make.This guy ripped me off out of 2 grand. He won't back up his work or the parts and he will replace parts that dose not need to be replaced so he can overcharge you.You have been warned

Lopez Auto is and has been a great asset to the community. Very flexible and always seem to find time to fit you in. Prices are always reasonable and most importantly they are honest. They live in the area so they are known to people and have a stellar reputation. Highly recommend.

I was passing through the area last week and my truck overheated. I made it to Mr Lopez shop; He dropped what he was doing, knowing I was from out of town and stranded. He promptly found the problem and fixed my truck for a fair price.I had been to a repair shop near my home the day before for the same problem; they did not fix the problem and charged me twice as much!!!!If honesty, integrity, and pride in workmanship are important to you, then chose Lopez Auto Repair for your auto repair needs!! He even offered a 1 year warranty on his work!Him and his wife are awesome!!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Took my car here Because I needed breaks replaced on my car, the staff was helpful and friendly. The price was affordable compared to the dealerships that charge you an arm leg and kidney to get breaks changed. They do oil changes, breaks and any other car work that you might need. Also, if you need a tow they do that too.

Lopez Auto Repair saved the day!!I broke down on the highway as I was passing through and had my car towed to the nearest auto repair shop. The shop was surrounded with vehicles scheduled for repairs, since Lopez Auto Repair offers such a sought-after service. The husband-wife team were courteous and kind and worked me in as an emergency break down. Mr. Lopez is no lazy mechanic! He made sure to check each part carefully before just replacing it, and the cost of his services was very fair! It took about a week for all the OEM parts to arrive for my 2013 Hyundai Sonata. I will gladly recommend them to anybody! Thank you, Lopez Auto!

Lopez worked very hard to get the parts I needed. They installed the part as soon as it came in....even staying late to make sure I got my truck to drive to work. If I ever need auto repairs in the future this is where I'd go. Lopez garage has my business for life!

We have been using this business to service several vehicles for some time but have become very disillusioned. They have fixed one air conditioner twice and it still doesn't work and recently took a vehicle in with a tire indicator light on. We thought a specific tire might be a little bit low on air but they told us it was a sensor problem and we had to take it to a tire place. A few days later that tire was flat. We are done with them and will never go back there.Amendment in response to the unprofessional reply from Lopez. My husband and I are in complete agreement with regard to this business. In fact, Mr Keeney called and spoke to Mrs Lopez about the air conditioner job and told her He "was done" with them. Also, it was not the tire sensor light - it went off as soon as the flat tire was repaired. I do not believe they took the time to carefully check my tires. I am not "venting" but expressing an opinion which is fully shared by my husband.Services: Tires, Air conditioning, Oil change
