My 2016 Chevy Silverado needed a new transmission. I had it towed to the Ocala FL Aamco on a Tuesday night and by Friday it was ready and running fine. They completed the job in 3 days.

Went in to have my Transmission check, after searching for the cause of a noise from my truck. They did a inspection and were able to give piece of mind that the were not any current issues. Thank you Keith and Robert.

This is Mr & Mrs Thomas GERITANO.We would love to state this this transmission Center, was it is the most reliable transmission center in Ocala, Florida. We just moved here from NYC, and their service was terrible out in NYC.THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS CENTER WAS AWESOME. AND PRICE WAS WORTH IT.MNO WORRIES WITH AMMCO.12,000 mile warranty plus 12 months whichever comes first. The most important part is the confidence, trust, & workmen-ship they give you. With the high prices of vehicles to purchase, we felt it is not worth buy a car with other problems that could come with the purchase. Keeping the car we know and took care of for 8 years is worth it. Plus no car payment is even better.We HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAMCO.

From Keith to the Technicians @ Aamco Transmission of Ocala, FL;I want to thank you for a JOB WELL DONE !I took my 2012 Mazda5 Van to Aamco Transmission of Ocala, FL needing my transmission rebuilt. They treated me with Utmost RESPECT and the cost was worth getting my Mazda5 back on the road. They advised me on a few things that needed to be fixed, if which I am Grateful for the Advice.If, in the future I need more Transmission work done, I will take my vehicle or vehicles to Aamco Transmission of Ocala, FL.Thanks again Aamco Transmission for a JOB WELL DONE ! I was very pleased with the service, workmanship and price. I had been to other transmission shops in the area. They were all quoting me higher amounts just to diagnose the problem. Aamco not only diagnosed the problem for less, but fixed the problem within the diagnostic process. Other shops in Ocala quoted me $450 approx, to just get the codes in order to diagnose the problem. Aamco (Kieth) did it all for $358. Thanks to the honesty and great work, of the team at Aamco, my hope in humanity went up from zero.

We received great service thus far. I say that just in case something comes up, but it did come with a 1 year warranty. We thought we had an issue 2 months after, but it ended up being a thermostat issue. They did check it out for us though with no issues.

I had the best experience with this company. I was a hard customer and had lots of issues between warranty companies and the dealership- but Keith and the repairmen made my experience positive when I had little hope. I am sooooooo happy with the service I received at Ocala AAMCO! Ford told me it would take TWO MONTHS just for them to LOOK at my transmission! I called AAMCO right away and told Gary my situation and he was so nice on the phone and gave me some suggestions and worked with me on getting my vehicle to them. Once she was there, he kept me updated with EVERYTHING. Worked very closely with my warranty company and fought HARD because we all know how those warranty companies can be! I got my vehicle back in about a little over a week but it doesn t matter if I got it back in 3 weeks! Anything was better than 2 months or more! God bless Gary and the guys at AAMCO! Took a high mileage 2008 Mercury Milan in for inspection to determine if there were any transmission related issues that needed attention.Robert and Keith spent considerable time and effort helping me understand possible outcomes and were kind enough to fit me in to a busy schedule.Very much appreciate their professionalism and effort and will use them to service the vehicle in the near term.Also, great attitude and bedside manner for a subject that is a black box to most of us.Thank you!

Took my vehicle in (2007) for a look at the transmission, as it was noticeably acting up and hard shifting in 3rd to 4th gear, along with some rumbling and shaking. The torque converter was going bad, and upon requesting the torque converter to be replaced, AAMCO explained they'd have to rebuild the entire transmission....this is where the troubles started-The price started at $3400-$3600, I agreed and was even ok with this, as the transmission probably needs to be replaced anyhow. The only guy to answer the phone call only has one way of speaking AFTER you have given then money, and he replies with back handed statements almost entirely. After a few days I called, and I was told with zero details that my vehicle was not ready, I was also told every time I called that i would be called back with updates since my transmission rebuild was deemed "unusual" (his word), long story short, I was never called back with any updates, my car was kept for 3 weeks, and each time I called, the only guy to ever answer would seem VERY bothered by my call and absolutely would not give me any answers, so after 2 weeks I demanded an answer as to why my transmission was "unusual" - he finally said it had to be rebuilt 3 times (no clue if this is true) and they don't know why it keeps failing... This answer was only given after I demanded an answer as to why 2 weeks has passed with no information or update(I was told originally that it would take 1 week maximum). After exactly 3 weeks I received a call that the transmission was complete and is ready to be picked up, I asked what they discovered or why it took 3 rebuilds, and I was told "the transmission case was bad is our guess".My car now idles rough, I'm not entirely sure what they did or did not do, but the original problem I went in for is resolved, so there is that .The price also went up to a total of exactly $4,600.I will NOT be returning to AAMCO and I will not recommend them to a friend.-KevN

Waste of time scam artists with a lack of talent, ingenuity, professionalism, and pride in their work. Spent a month on a fix that is now being addressed by another mechanic. Requested and collected thousands of dollars. Purchased failed/incompatible parts that delayed completion. Offered no apologies or concessions for poor craftsmanship. Should be out of business - here's hoping.

We worked with Gary when our company truck broke down in Ocala. He coordinated towing, provided honest feedback, the repair costs were more than fair, and they were able to get the truck back to us promptly. I definitely recommend this company, and will absolutely work with them again.

Great customer service and transmission is doing great 1000 miles after the rebuild. One owner 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with over 320k miles.

Took my car to Aamco in OCALA after having Transmission problem. Keith was great. I explained what was going on and in a day he got back to to me. These guys are the best! They're closed weekends and still will take the time to answer your call if you have an emergency breakdown as I did. They got me fixed and back on the road within a week! Great job guys, Keith is the man!

About 3 weeks ago I was dealing with significant transmission issues. I was looking for the most cost effective resolution. I went and spoke with Dan at AAMCO in Ocala. His professionalism and candidness allowed me to build a strong sense of trust very quickly. Dan assured me that I needed a complete transmission rebuild. He made me aware of all associated costs upfront, he made me aware that he would not have a final amount for the repair until the transmission has been completely dropped and diagnosed. It was a little worrisome for me not knowing 100% of the cost upfront, but Dan made me feel good about the decision to move forward. AAMCO did a complete transmission rebuild for me and I couldn t be happier. All of my concerns have been resolved regarding my transmission. I went back to see Dan today on a completely separate issue. His mechanic Mike made time to address my concerns immediately. These guys are TOP NOTCH A+ people that you should go to for your mechanical needs! Dan runs a professional business, his staff is knowledgeable, and they get the job done right! Thank you Dan and Mike!

I would not of posted a review on this company but I will explain why I did at least give them one star! Ok I bought a NEW transmission from Ford, I didnt have time to install it myself so I looked to this company to just R&R the transmission in my truck. They said that they could do it and program the new strategy numbers. Well the one star comes that they did the job fast! The no stars would come from I didnt even make it home before it messed up and then when I called Paul to explain that it was slipping and the whole underneath of my truck was COVERED in transmission fluid the first thing he started with was ""it must be a bad transmission"" or the pump must be bad"" starting from the beginning on shifting the blame instead of trying to make things right! Also he said I would have to pay the tow bill to the shop. IF I was someone who was not knowledgeable with cars then I would of had alot more cost involved because I would of had to tow it there. ALSO they could not even program the strategy numbers,. I did it on my laptop in 2 minutes. I started investigating. I looked at the vent tube and it was on but covered in fluid, I then checked the fluid level and it was WAY over full EVEN after all of the fluid loss. I suctioned out almost 3 qts to get it down to where it should be. I am not sure why a transmission company cant get the level right! I am hoping it didnt hurt my transmission. but now it is not blowing out fluid and shifting as it should. This company should try more to make things right before shifting blame to everything else. I learned my lesson here. And the pic attached is the dipstick level AFTER all the fluid loss and me draining one quart already! The level should be between 5 and 6 which is where the yellow line is.Service: Transmission

I have been taking my Toyota Tacoma to AAMCO Transmissions in Ocala for approximately 3 years. Joshua, the center manager, has always been helpful and courteous, a pleasure to deal with. When I call for service, I am always able to get my vehicle scheduled for service within a day or two. When I arrive for my scheduled appointment, he has always been able to put my vehicle immediately into the shop and have one of his technicians begin the work. I have had u-joints replaced, a transmission rebuilt, new brake pads, rotors, brake shoes, brake drums installed, and routine maintenance performed. He has always fully explained any problems found and provided an accurate estimate of cost. I have found his prices and warranty much better than the one's I received elsewhere in the past. I have always received my truck back as promised in good working order. I would highly recommend this shop for any vehicle needs and have done so on several occasions. I will be continuing to use this shop for my vehicle needs. Thank you Josh and staff for a great job.

Although I was and still am in sticker shock at the prices, you could tell Josh the manager is very compassionate and cares about upstanding service and his guys and above all your vehicle. He was very upfront and honest and they got my car done when Josh said it would be done. The guys were very professional and got my 95 Oldsmobile back on the road! So far so good! Been about a month and still driving along like a magic carpet ride again! Got the transmission and fuel pump done and they both work great!

I am upset at the service I received from here , my suburban was gone for almost 3 months , estimate was for 1300 on my transmission to be rebuilt , turned in to 10,000, and nothing got fixed right , I complained and we was shunned ..I will be back to demand a refund ....on all services done because of failure to do it right or give notice of parts not available before installation .It's not right how I got treatedServices: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

I had my transmission rebuilt about 2 weeks ago now. I waited to review to ensure there would be problems with the repair, which there are not. Everything works great car shifts like new and no leaks or any other concerns. Bobby is one of the best! He talks you through the process step by step and explains everything with great detail so that you are not confused. Great work out of this shop, quick repair and great people!

My Momma always told me about how she used AAMCO when she was young and how great they were when it came to taking care of her cars, so when my manual transmission Scion TC needed some assistance the first place we thought of was AAMCO. That is when we got the honor to meet Bobby Taylor. He was great with us and when we had technical complications with getting the money to him, even though it caused a hold on the scheduled date to pay, he was patient, kind, and constantly kept looking for more convenient options for us to utilize. His caring attitude never changed the entire process which made the whole situation that much easier to deal with! Now my baby runs perfectly because of their amazing services~!

We went here to have our transmission replaced through our extended warranty service. The staff here went to bat for us in every way possible, and ensured that our transmission issues were resolved quickly. They were very friendly, professional, and courteous. Gary was very honest & helpful. The mechanics there tested out the new transmission after install, and there were issues they caught in the test drive. So we waited for a second transmission, which works. Thank you everyone for being honest & reliable!!

4X4 would not engage. Initial check showed some unauthorized, unconventional attempts at repairs by a previous owner. Spent a lot of time tracing circuits to determine actual problem. They were more than fair with charges and I am very happy that they resolved the problem and made the necessary repairs. I would highly recommend them.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic
