I arrived and quickly discovered that there had been a confusion with my appointment. Paul made sure that my car was immediately moved in to be serviced regardless of this. Within about 4 hours my car's AC was back to working properly and I couldn't be happier because of Florida's hot summer months coming up. Thank you to those employees who quickly fixed my AC!

There seems to be a lot of good reviews on here. Especially about being honest. I can only say what my experience was and hope it helps someone else. My daughters car broke down on the side of the road. We had it towed to our regular mechanic. They said it was a transmission problem and they don t work on transmissions. I found A1 transmissions online and saw that they had good reviews so I decided to have our car towed there.They didn t even look at the car for over a week or call for an update. When they finally looked at the car, they said your transmission is shot. You need a whole new transmission. The price they quoted was 3500. We were so disappointed because the car is only worth a little more than that. We didn t want to spend that kind of money on an older car. They then proceeded to offer to buy the car for parts for 500. Something seemed off so I decided to get a second opinion. I had the car towed to CJ transmission in Dunnellon. Turns Out it didn t need a new transmission at all!! They diagnosed and fixed our car in an afternoon. It ended up being a faulty wire to the power train control module. A simple fix. The car was back up and running in a matter of hours.Either the mechanics at A1 are really bad or worse they are crooked slime that are ripping people off. Not sure which. Be cautious with this company or get a second opinion. Oh they also charged me 115 dollars to have my car looked at. Did I get a refund? No. I think I should have.

Honest/ trustworthy car mechanic that I highly recommend!! They were fast and friendly! Paul, Mario, Harold and the team are fantastic 10/10 recommend, definitely bring your car here

I brought my vehicle to them with a close transmission. The service was excellent and very thorough as well as reasonably priced. I definitely will go back to them and hopefully this review helps others see that they are worth taking their vehicle too.

Paul took my call, great guy. Very personable and down to earth.Got my van into shop at blazingly fast speed. While other shops in area told me it could take from 3 days to 3 weeks!His Guys took the vehicle, pinpointed the leak, fixed it and returned it by 9am the next day. I probably dropped it off at 3pm and I hit the road by 10am next day. A1 trans took the initiative and earned the business.I could nitpick the repair and cost but there wasn't a need. They did what I needed them to do and they didn't press me for anything else. Cost was up front and transparent and the service was quick.Pro: Fast, friendly service, understand your needs and they felt compelled to help find a solution. (You can't say that about the big stealerships, I mean dealerships nowadays)They make you feel like a customer and not a number. A/C office area had a couple chairs for waiting.Cons: parking lot can be tricky to navigate. Lots of project cars sitting around collecting dirt.Location is tucked right behind main road making it difficult to see, but if you have GPS it gets you right there. They could have spent and extra 5 min and wiped down every little drop of fluid that had leaked onto undercarriage, but who am I kidding its an older vehicle.Neutral: price was on point, not expensive, but not cheap, very average pricing. Office needs a good clean (spiders and webs and dirt, but it's an operating small business so I cut them some slack)

A year later and my transmission is completely gone after spending over $2k for a "rebuild" I park in on dirt and didn't notice all of the bolts holding up the transmission pan was loose... checked the fluid after it started to buck and slip, nothing of course. So I put some ATF that the dealer recommended and drove it as far as I can go now I'm stuck on the side of the road. Thank you A1 and your useless owner who did nothing but steal money from me. First it was overdrive now it's all the gears. I'm sure you'll remember me when I say, 1992 white Ford Ranger. You had it for almost two months when I first brought it to you.Save you troubles people and don't go here!! Scammers at its best with junkyard parts...

Excellent service. Kind and understanding staff. The Owner, Paul, went over the top to help me. More businesses should care like this Owner. I highly recommend them. You will be happy you can find a business you can truly trust. Incredible service. SERIOUSLY AMAZING!!! The Owner was able to resolve a simple transmission issue that other mechanics could not discover!!! Unbelievable!!! They truly are as their name says.

My review & rating would be titled "Fair & honest". We were able to get our trk diagnosed & repaired in just a cpl of days. Paul, advised us to bring it back on 2 weeks, to have it checked over, and said it needed to be adjusted & did so through warranty, at no additional costs to us.Thank you so much guys. Great job!

I contacted them in an attempt to get them to see if they could help repair a 2012 Ford focus which had a transmission control module problem. They declined to do any kind of repair on that car because they have had problems with repairing Ford focus transmissions in the past.

Very professional, great communication and they got our truck done as quick as possible at a fair price! These guys know their stuff! I was under the car with the mechanic as he explained what needed to be done - and just as importantly, what I didn't need to do. Pricing was very fair and the team was friendly and fast. I won't go anywhere else in Ocala for car repair. Highly recommend!!

Paul and his team were true life savers for us! We were passing through town and had transmission trouble. Even though it was closing time on a Friday, they were so gracious to help!Other shops refused but A-1 stepped up to rescue a couple of stranded travelers! They quickly eased our fears, fixed the truck, and charged a VERY fair price! What a blessing! Great service, good hearted people, and highly recommended!! Thank you.

Everybody is so friendly and definitely know what they're doing. You can be confident in knowing that whatever is wrong with your vehicle they are the guys for the job and for a very fair and reasonable price. Installed a new torque converter in my car and it works amazing. They even found other things I wasn't aware of and brought it to my attention and resolved them for me and I had my car back in no time. Thank you so much A-1!!!

Best mechanics in town. I've used them for all my car issues and maintenance. Honest guys and professional, and will go the extra mile to work with you.I bought a used car that had issues a few years ago and A1 had it up and running in no time. Best of all, they charged $200 less than what was quoted at another repair shop.

Paul and his staff are great mechanics.Only does what needs to be done. Saved my boss almost $3000.3 different shops said the transmission was shot. Paul serviced it, worked fine! Less then $120.

Good honest guys here. Paul is an honest guy and will fix your vehicle rite. They stand behind there work. Nobody wants transmission problems but they happen. Don't get ripped off by other transmission shops take your vehicle to A1 transmission you won't be disappointed

I was traveling back to NC when my transmission went out in Ocala Fl. I called Paul that night and he said he had a transmission in stock and he could have in put into my truck the next day. With some issues after the install I finally got back on the road. Great staff and owner.
