I've been going to Prospect Muffler for literally decades. First stop for every truck is PM!Excellent work, very sharp pricing, always on time, super folks! Unfortunately, the only time I see them is for a new install...never once had a problem! Highly recommend!

I would like to thank the staff of 'Prospect Muffler', Billy the owner, and Cody the technician for the great work� they did on my 2016 Lexus IS 200t. Everyone was very pleasant, and it was a great experience overall. Cody is very good at what he does: he� "deleted the muffler," removedthe "resonators,"� and he built a"straight pipe," from the "cats to the back," from scratch. Cody is a perfectionist, he took his time, he analyzed every bend on the pipe, the spacing of the cutouts for the tips, the level, and position of the tips, just to mention a few things, with the upmost precision and accuracy. The job was completed and it sounds great, the car also gained more horsepower. If you do not want the job done right, or if you want the job to be done very quickly do not use, 'Prospect Muffler.' If you care about the quality of the work, and if you want the job done correctly then please use, 'Prospect Muffler', you will not be disappointed. Thank you 'Prospect Muffler', Dexter H. The owner Billy and his wife are so friendly and welcome. They did a great job for me with smiling face. And the mechanic are so friendly as well. Good price too. I highly recomment. Thank you so much.

I had called several muffler shop in my areas to have my exhaust cut outs installed, no one made me feel confident that they could install and wire them up, until a friend told me about Prospect Muffler and repair center. I called over to speak with Billy the owner he said no problem bring the car over the next day, and quoted me over the phone. My first impression of Billy was that he was a great family man with a history of a family owned business that been around a long time, that a true testament of integrity. Billy and his team did an extremely awesome job on my exhaust cut outs, I am extremely happy the way they sound and look and would recommend Prospect Muffler to anyone.Thank you Billy and your Team, every time I open the cutouts I have an ear to ear grin.

Basically lied and made me wasted gas coming to the shop at 3:15pm only to leave and is nowhere to be found when I needed to get my muffler check. Work on the communication.

Billy definitely knows what he s talking about. After dealing with multiple muffler shops and still not having my issue fixed, he fixed everyone else s screw ups and jerry rigging in less then 8 hours in a very clean and professional manner at a super reasonable price. Highly recommended and he won t sell you anything you don t need.

This family run shop is an authorized installer of Jasper Engines and Transmissions. They can offer you a 3 year/100,000 parts and labor warranty that is transferable if you sell your car. Let them help you keep your vehicle on the road rather then replace it.

Stopped by to see previous owners not knowing that they had sold it... was introduced to Eddie the new owner who was very informative and did a free scan on my Cadillac to give me information that I had already expected. Bad news. It was very nice of him not to charge for the scan where most places would. I also found out that he works on all vehicles including BMW'S. He has bought and restored many cars so he can work on anything. I was happy to hear that he charged for labor just the amount allowed in my extended warranty on the BMW... 100 per hour. You can't beat that! And he also recommended me to other services that I needed for detailing. He's very busy so if he's a little abrupt don't feel offended, he will give you the best option for your vehicle. And he won't B.S. you.

My family has brought their vehicles here for years, going back to when Bill Cone senior ran the business. Just a few weeks ago my low tire pressure light came on at Commercial and Dixie , so I drove right over to Prospect Muffler and Billy stopped what he was doing and had one of his techs remove large bolt from my tire and plug it . Made my morning a lot less stressful , and made it to work on time. Have always received a fair estimate and great service on the repairs I've had done there. Great family run business.

A local business owned by an awesome couple. Billy is always very communicative and does a very professional job. They ll give you calls giving you updates on the progress or completion of your vehicles needs, highly recommended and I ve been using their service for years!

I was a auto/truck shop owner many years ago before migrating to computer service. I was called in to configure a newly installed network at Prospect Muffler. While in the shop I witnessed a professional, and knowledgeable team of technicians and management. With every job that came in I was more and more impressed with the honesty and professionalism given to every customer. These guys are the best, they use the best parts available and the are not parts installers/changers, they are the real deal technicians not just exhaust technicians! They explain the process and the options if any exists. They have great concern for your safety!Since my experience with Billy and his team I have recommended and brought family and friends to his shop for repairs, everyone of them extremely satisfied.Knowledgeable, Experienced, Honest. Find those three adjectives in the review of another automotive repair shop...ANYWHERE!

Good central Ft. Lauderdale location. Small clean custom shop. Friendly service. Bill the proprietor offers many options and not against alternative ways to save the customer money.Unfortunately company vehicle had a catalytic converter stolen, and that's what required service. Prospect Muffler delivered as promised. Highly recommend if muffler service is needed to Go to Prospect Muffler.

Spoke to them over the phone about some work on my german car that I felt like any reputable muffler/exhaust shop could easily handle. Said "I ain't touching it" in the most repugnant voice I've ever heard. Must be doing well to be able to reject work so liberally. If your car isn't made of legos, steer clear.

Fast and professional! Called ahead and told what I thought was the problem and they were very knowledgeable about the issue. I told them about a previous job that I had been done on my car from a previous shop but that it wasn't completely done the right way. They check my car and diagnose the problem. Left and came back to my fixed car. Very affordable and reasonable price too! Will definitely come back again!

i would strongly caution anyone who has to get more than a simple muffler replacement from getting involved with this place. I have honestly never been so disappointed by a garage. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the work and the fact that the owner Billy repeatedly cursed at me and asked for me to pay him more money because his mechanics could not do a simple long tube header install on a 390 FE motor. The owner made every effort to blame me for his mechanics' problems in doing a simple job because I provided him with the headers. These were regular Hedman headers that took them a month to get installed at an additional cost of about $500. I was quoted $700 for the exhaust job. I payed over $1200 and still had to get much of the work re-done. I was told by Billy that the starter needed to be replaced in order to fit the long tube headers. My truck stayed at that garage for three weeks while they ordered starters and could not make them fit. I actually had to buy a starter myself and bring it to them because they kept ordering the wrong part. Billy was angrily telling me that he wanted me to pay for the labor in having his mechanics put on the wrong part. I was told that the mechanics damaged one of the wrong starters that they had bought and Billy cursed at me telling me that I should pay for that starter that they bought incorrectly and damaged and could not return. After I brought them the correct starter, I received a call informing me that it would not fit. I went to the garage and encouraged the mechanic to read the instructions that came with the starter because it did indeed fit as long as he was willing to read the instructions. A couple weeks after this adventure my truck developed a header leak. When I went to see Billy,, I was told that he cannot give a lifetime warranty on header gaskets. He again cursed at me and I had to go to another exhaust shop to fix the header leak which was actually caused by a gasket that he provided. Soon thereafter, my truck started leaking transmission fluid. I brought the car to my regular mechanic and was informed that the exhaust pipe that Prospect installed was actually touching the transmission which was boiling the transmission fluid. I had to have this repaired by another shop as well. Additionally, I was told by Billy that the exhaust tips would be welded on. I assumed that they had and then after a while I noticed a rattle. When I went to inspect the rattle, I found that the exhaust tips had been screwed on. I can't imagine that this guy would have been able to stay in business for so long if he regularly did business this way.

The only shop I go to for my automotive issues and projects. Just brought my 2017 Shelby for a custom exhaust and as usual it was show quality work and sound. I had also brought my race cars to Billy for several custom projects. Doing 150 mph on the Daytona banking I wouldn't trust any other shop.They always offer several options to meet your needs and work with you to choose the best. A great shop and s great family man.

Best Muffler shop in Oakland Park. Billy is very honest and he truly does an outstanding job. He goes above and beyond to make sure, customer service is number one. I highly recommend them. They also sell Jasper Engines & Transmissions with a 3 year and 100,000 mile warranty.

Needed a bun installed on my exhaust for an aftermarket o2 gauge. Simple job, other shops acted like they were to busy for my small job, prospect muffler not only took on my job but Bill also guided me on good possible locations for the bun. Highly appreciated the friendly advice and service !!!!

Very nice and professional. They treat customers like family. I own a small car lot on Andrews Avenue and take all my cars there when they need muffler jobs. Prices are right, jobs are well done, and the owners and staff are great!!

These guys are great. They really know their stuff and are fair and honest. After trying too many mechanics, I have found my go to guys. Yea! Its a relief to have a good mechanic I can trust. I highly recommend them!

I had an Interstate battery fail and the mechanic who had originally installed it no longer handled batteries. So I called Interstate to find a local dealer who could exchange it, because it was less than a year old and under warranty. Interstate gave me Prospect Mufflers, which was right around the corner. So I begged a neighbor to give me a jump start and I drove over there. The owner, Billy, was extremely impatient and made it clear he had no interest in handling a warranty issue. Just discussing it was keeping him from his "real" work, and he complained he would have to pay for the battery out of his stock and wait to be reimbursed by Interstate. He did offer to jumpstart my battery so I could go elsewhere, but again got very impatient when it didn't start up immediately. He criticized me for not maintaining my car very well. Yes, I do have some issues I need to have fixed, but it won't be at Prospect Muffler!

They just changed their name to Prospect Auto. The service here was the best I've had at a repair shop. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. I felt the prices were very fair. I can recommend this place.

This place and people are the absolute BEST place in Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park and surrounding areas for repairs and mufflers (they do a lot of custom muffler work and I am told they do a great job but custom mufflers are not for me)! I am sure you have heard people tell you the mechanic they use is honest. Listen to my story and decide if Prospect Muffler is an honest shop.In 2002 I was fairly new to this area and I was looking for a mechanic. My last mechanic was a guy named Ross in Las Vegas where I grew up.Ross took care of my Father's cars and his father's cars for years so I was keen on finding another honest mechanic for me and my family. A friend told me to see her father who owned Prospect Auto. When I looked for it I accidentally found Prospect Muffler instead. I had needed a radiator for my Suburban. Bill(the owner) gave me a quote of $450 which was not high or low, about average. He took my car for what was to be a few hours to change the radiator. They had a difficult time finding the radiator and after 6 hours I called and Bill told me they had tried 4 different radiators until the got one that would fit and had to get an upgraded 4 core radiator when I only had a 3 core. Knowing that many mechanics are not honest, I did not really believe they went through 4 radiators to find one that actually fit. Nor did I believe they put in an upgraded one. When I got to the shop to pickup my vehicle I inspected the new radiator and the old one and sure enough, they upgraded me. When I asked Bill how much more it would be for the better radiator he told me nothing, that he quoted $450 and that is all I would be paying. I said wow, this could be good. Did not give it much thought till 6 months later that 4 core radiator they put in started leaking. I headed back to Prospect Muffler just certain I would either have to pay for another radiator or a warranty processing fee or labor or any one of a hundred other ways to get more money from me. NO, I DID NOT PAY ONE MORE CENT! Not a shop fee, no coolant charges, NOTHING! I said to myself, WOW, I think I found my mechanic and became a regular customer and sent all my family and whatever friends would listen to Bill and company at Prospect. About 2 years later while chatting with Bill about his childrens' motocross meet he told me the supplier he got that radiator from would not honor a warranty and he had to eat the COMPLETE cost of replacing that radiator. He NEVER came back to me for a cent nor did he ever say a word until that day. I had no idea he had eaten all that cost for 2 years! Needless to say I will NEVER go anywhere else and tell everyone they should use Prospect Muffler, they will not be disappointed. Now I am sharing my story here so more people can have an honest mechanic!

I just have good things to say about this place and it's staff, they installed ceramic pipes in my 2012 Camaro SS 45th anniversary, they guide me through the whole selection process and they were all very knowledgeable. They wont charge you an arm and a leg this has been my best experience with a mechanic/muffler place.

The worst service possible. Nobody knew what they were doing. Did not do the job correctly and wanted more money to fix it. Very rude and hung up the phone when telling them the job was done incorrectly. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP unless you want to get ripped off and the work done incorrectly. The guy that worked there told me they do not know what they are doing and to go somewhere else that s how bad it is. Advice RUN!!!!!Service: Exhaust
