I chose Cold Air Comfort based on the reviews, and once I called and spoke with Tommy (the owner) I understood the praise that the other reviewers were giving him. Tommy is honest, flexible, and incredibly kind. I first brought my 2014 Focus to him in June 2022 for a broken resistor, which he replaced quickly and got my system working again. Fast forward to October 2023, and the resistor had stopped working again, but my AC also wasn t blowing cold, especially while idle. Tommy replaced the resistor under warranty, and then checked out my system to figure out why it was running warm. He ended up finding a leak and was able to get it sealed. This lowered the temp by about 10 degrees, but that is still about 10 degrees warmer than it should be. At this point, Tommy found that the compressor was weak, so he found a new one (and a new condenser) for a great price and with a 3-year warranty (which I know he honors based on my experience with the resistor).One thing that I appreciate about this is that mechanics often go straight to your compressor needs replacing without doing a full inspection and trouble shooting. I know a few people who had their compressors replaced as a first option, only to have the AC still not working well after spending all of that money. I am extremely grateful that Tommy was so thorough and took care of all of the issues, one at a time, during his trouble shooting. He also worked with me on the price and communicated with me the entire time, including sending progress photos via text, which is a nice touch.I am pleased to say that my AC is now blowing colder than it has since maybe 2014 when the car was brand new. I used a thermometer in the vent to check the temp while idle when it was about 85 degrees outside, and it was blowing ag 44 degrees (see photo). I won t hesitate to bring another car to Cold Air Comfort and to recommend family and friends, either. The entire auto industry could take a lesson in customer service from Tommy: I wish he owned a dealership so I could buy a car from someone so honest and humble.

Owner Tommy knows his stuff and is great to deal with.1. My car's A/C quit working in August 2023. Dealership said I'd have to wait over a week for an appointment. That wait wasn't acceptable in midsummer Florida heat. Found Cold Air Comfort via Google, made an appointment for the next day and Tommy had my A/C blowing ice cold again that day. Six months later and it's still working fine.2. Had been experiencing lagged response with my turbo and last week the accelerator refused to respond. Stepping on the gas forced the car into limp mode. Tommy diagnosed a faulty high pressure fuel sensor as the culprit. Replaced only the part that was necessary and now the car is running better than it did when new.I trust him now for all my maintenance. Honest businessman, quality work that's guaranteed and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

We were referred to Cold Air Comfort by Hamill Tire a trusted service provider to us. Our 2012 Subaru Forester had been running warm for some time and we decided to take it in to be serviced. We dropped off the car early morning and received a call a few hours later with a diagnostic on the A/C. Tom explained to us the problem and offered 2 solutions. We went with the second. We had the car back by 7pm blowing frosty air. What a pleasure to deal with.

If I could give 10 stars I would I have a 2005 thunderbird A few months ago my a/c was not cooling and brought it to my local mechanic Spent $1,100. To replace the compressor and drier Worked ok but only worked for a few months I took it back and they said it was an electrical problem and would have to remove my dashboard to fix it and they don t do that kind of work took it to three other places and no one would touch the carAnd then I found Tommy at Cold Air ComfortSomeone above was watching out for meTommy came up with a solution in one dayAnd got my car back and the A/C is colder than when the car was newThe man is a true genius I honestly was thinking of getting rid of the car but now thatI have Tommy I m keeping it for a long timeAmazing personality and top notch serviceI will never go anywhere elseI also have a small oil leak that no other garage would treat they told me I would have to remove the engine Tommy will address that nextWill be using Tommy forever You won t be disappointedHonestly when I first met Tommy I wasn t sure He seemed too good to be trueWas I wrong My only regret is that I didn tKnow about him sooner

Glad I found Tommy. My AC had been not working well for a few weeks, and the place I usually go for oil changes said they couldn t fix it. I came across cold air comfort just dumb luck searching on the internet. Tommy was informative, gave me options and stands behind his work. Also just a nice guy to hang with for a few minutes while the car is getting fixed. Now my car is blowing such cold air my wife wants to take her car in for a tune up! Thanks for everything

I highly recommend Cold Air Comfort Automotive; having my A/C diagnosed and repaired was a great experience from start to finish. He and his team did outstanding work, completing the job ahead of the estimated timing and even going above and beyond providing a ride home and offering pick-up. The AC in my truck stopped blowing cold air so I did a quick Google search and found Cold Air Comfort at the top of their list with amazing reviews, so I gave Tommy a call. I made an appointment to drop off my truck to have Tommy and his staff assess the situation. They determined there was a leak in the system and Tommy explained what steps he recommended. Unfortunately, they had to keep my truck overnight, but I was told ahead of time that they were very busy so that wasn t a big surprise. The next day when I picked up my truck, the AC was blowing frigid air just like it did in the past. I was very pleased with Tommy s work and communication throughout the process and would definitely recommend him if you need any AC work done on your vehicle.

Thank you to Tommy and his crew! Everything went smoothly. The shop has great business hours which made it easy for me to drop off and pick up. Tommy walked me through the whole process and made sure i didn't spend unnecessary money. Everything was thought out with logic and no surprises. Thanks again Tommy and crew! Follow up: air conditioning is running. but i still have the problem with the air conditioning on the drivers side. dropped off a second time with no resolution. its difficult driving in Florida with divers vent blowing hot air. i cant win.Update:::: called again for an a/c part. Got blown off. Maybe because it wasn t worth their time and not enough money.

Excellent service and information, they fixed the AC in my car that hasn't worked right in years to be as good if not maybe better than when I bought it.Comprehensively told me the problem I was facing and some future problems I would eventually face...but at no time did it feel forced or like he was pressuring me to do tons of extra work.Very knowledgeable and just as important, to me at least, Thomas feels kind.

I highly recommend Cold Air Comfort for all your car maintenance needs. The staff is very personable, the prices are fair and flexible, and the work is outstanding. The shop owner Tommy is a great guy who treats all his customers with respect and reverence. An honest maintenance shop is hard to come by but this is one of them.

New Success Story - fuel vapor canister exploded in Suburban and went through entire system... Tommy battled this for a month changing/purging/blowing etc around my schedule and for the first time since DECEMBER, I was able to fill my vehicle with gas! Final push was dropping the fuel tank and discovered the debris jammed the vents and even the pump had issues. This was a crazy tough issue but happy and on the road... with a FULL tank again..Battled AC in my F150 through 3 shops! Tough electrical issue was the root cause. Tommy struggled as did all BUT found it! Even gave me my car back at night to drive and I d return it in the AM to continue investigating saved a rental cost. Could not ask for better service and bringing another more challenging one to him next wish him luck!

After a very bad experience at Pep Boys. I thankfully found Tommy at Cold Air Comfort on a Google search. Called yesterday and instantly got a text that he was busy at the moment, but promptly received a call back not too soon afterwards. I was able to drop my car off at his wonderful shop. He and his team pinpointed the problem and were able to get my AC up and running again. He explained everything to me and gave me a very reasonable price. Tommy is ethical and has great customer service skills. It s rare to find somebody like him in today s world. Class act all the way. I highly recommend Cold Air Comfort Automotive LLC. In fact, I already have to a friend. I am a very happy and satisfied customer. Thank you Tommy and Company!

Tommy's the man! We just moved from Texas and brought my fianc�e's car in for A/C repair about a month ago (Chevy Cruze). Tommy and his crew resolved multiple issues and has her A/C blowing nice and cold! Tommy's communication was great and he made sure to kept us updated during the entire process. He also stands behind his work with a 3 year warrantee! He also threw in a few extra services that's saved us from having to replace the fuse box. We're blessed to have found a trustworthy and knowledgeable shop in south Florida being new to the area! I just brought my own car in for some other service as well (BMW 650i). Thank you Tommy and Team for your professionalism and unbeatable customer service! Thank you to the other previous customers who left good reviews so that I was able to make an informed decision. I m hoping to pay this forward to other potential customers in search of an honest mechanic in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Thomas was terrific! He explained the approach he would take to diagnose my A/C issue. Had me up and running with cold air the same day. Previously had my vehicle at the Cadillac dealer for 3 days and no progress! Thomas runs an honest business. He's a local and has been in the same location for 20 years. Highly recommend!

I had the BEST experience with this shop!! The owner, Tommy was so kind, professional and knowledgeable. My car AC stopped working on my way to Florida (from Georgia). I found his business in a google search and called on Friday afternoon when I got to town. He scheduled me first thing Saturday to take a look at my AC and offered to take a look. He explained everything to me, said he was able to keep my car and fix it by the afternoon so that I could be on my way to celebrate my son s birthday that evening. He even offered to drive us (me and my kids) to a local area with shops and restaurants so that we could wait comfortably while my car AC was being fixed. He finished the repair within the time frame (and the cost) that he d promised. My AC is working beautifully now! And Tommy even gave my son a small gift because he remembered that I d mentioned it was his birthday. Thank you so much for the repaired AC and a wonderful experience!Service: Air conditioning

My company owns 18 Classic and high end collection cars, Thomas has proven to us that he is a very professional mechanic, also the people who work for him! Circling back to say that Cold Air Comfort is the best auto shop in Fort Lauderdale. Thomas and his crew are honest, incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely passionate about their work and always put the customer first. Their pricing is more than fair, and they don t even think of trying to squeeze every dime out of you like so many mechanics do. Their specialty is AC, but I go to Thomas for all my automotive needs. He s done everything from oil changes to whole wheel bearing replacements for me, my family and my business automobiles. Can t say enough about how great they are.

Went to Tommy with a AC issue for my 2011 BMW 335. He was an absolute professional. He gave me multiple options at various price points to resolve the issue and followed through. Haven't had any issues so far. He is my go to mechanic in Ft.lauderdale now.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tommy via a referral from Hamill Tire . This is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a automotive service center. I didn t think that this level of customer service existed. I had a quote of 740.00 to replace the ac compressor from another ac company. Tommy determined that the ac required the control switch to be replaced and standard maintenance procedure after a full inspection of the system. The total charge was 275.00. I highly recommend them.

I am so grateful for Tommy! So refreshing to experience someone who takes pride in their business. I found him a few years ago for an A/C repair and service and will not take my car anywhere else, if I can avoid it. He was honest and reasonable, when most others would have tried to sell me on big time repairs and replacements. I am a single, professional, woman. I drive an older model vehicle. I always keep up on my maintenance, but it has always been a daunting experience, until I found Cold Air Comfort. Top notch customer service & integrity- 10/10 recommend. I was referred to Tommy, the owner of Cold Air Comfort, by my mechanic for A/C issues. I explained to Tommy that I was on the fence about paying a lot to fix the air because the car is not in great shape. He did a 100% complimentary diagnosis and gave an honest assessment that given the car's condition, fixing the compressor would at this point be pouring money into a poor investment. He recommended trading it in at a used car dealership and said he would be happy to give me his thoughts on any car I'm looking to buy. Oh my Tommy is wonderful!! My car is cooling better than when I bought new. I went to 2 other garages and estimate was several hundred more than his. Tommy explained what was wrong in repair needed and why. No one else did that. I appreciate his honesty and taking time to explain the situation. When the dealer gave me a $5000.00 estimate to repair my AC on my Chevy Tahoe, I took it Cold Air Comfort for a second opinion. They got it fixed for $550.00 saving me a ton of money. AC works perfect now!
