Ridiculously overpriced. They quoted over 5600 for changing fluids and a few parts on a vehicle worth 2500. I watched them charge an old man $211 because his car was low on coolant. They wanted to charge me more than $300 to change 4 easy to change spark plugs that cost $25. $35 to clean an air filter that costs $14 and can be swapped in 30 seconds. $507 to change valve cover gaskets a $40 part, these are held in place by 5 bolts and can be swapped out by any decent mechanic in under an hour. $300 for a battery that would be swapped for the cost of the $130 battery at any other place in town, and the list keeps going!!! This place is gouging severely and is a disgrace to our community. Do not waste your time or money here! Go to Bucks, Tom Joyce, Murdock Tire, or any other lube place in town before you give these crooks your money.

I was towed in because my car was inoperable. Received knowledgeable, courteous, efficient service by all personnel, and back on the road within five hours. The work bays were immaculate, the waiting area was like being in a living room, Free coffee, water and limited snacks available and free shuttle service. And, if you hungry for lunch or a snack, this facility is within easy walking distance - through the parking lot - to four restaurants. I was very satisfied.

We serviced our Chevy Cruze here a week ago and payed $678 for the car to be diagnosed, a purge valve replacement, a servicing of our brake system, and an oil change. After we picked up the car, we noticed the check engine light was still on. We decided to drive the car a few times in the hopes the light would turn off on its own. I called the next day and was told I could drop off the car to be diagnosed again. The code was read as an emissions issue and we were asked to pay another $170 for the second diagnostic. Why should I have to pay for a second diagnostic when it was Christian Brothers Automative s lack of thoroughness that brought me back? Things do get missed but to suggest I would need to pay for another simple diagnostic, for a concern they missed, is foolish and suggests greed. Thus, the check engine light is still on as we decided not to service our car with Christian Brothers Automative again. The initial reason we brought our car in seems to have been resolved and the workers there are polite, but they politely ask you to spend more money than seems fair. After asking around, it seems they have a reputation for less than integrous business practices. I value trustworthy mechanics and would go somewhere else based off of what I ve seen and heard.

5 Stars for Christian Brothers mechanical services!They did a excellent job on our old truck. they warrantee their work for three years & they have a courtesy pick up to bring you back-and-forth to your car.I ll be Definitely referring them to friends and family.Thanks for a great job. I've spent three grand chasing down a vibration in my front end. Got charged several diagnostics for the same problem. The only thing they did was wave one diagnostic fee. Here I am $3,000 or more later with the same exact problem that I brought it to Christian Brothers for. I'm a Christian owned company, and for them to claim their Christian and do a huge mark up on parts and claim that you have a warranty with everything they touch but then don't warranty anything is appalling. I highly suggest not going to Christian Brothers.. Just called back again to try to get some answers and Derek the manager hung up on me. The service is good when you're throwing money at them but once you start questioning why nothing's getting fixed this is the kind of service you get. They also told me that I needed to service my power steering system and it started leaking right after I got it back from them they didn't do anything about it said it was coincidence. They also worked on my Chevy charged me $900 to fix my air conditioning told me I had a bad compressor after it stopped working within a month I went to O'Reilly's charged it myself and it's been working fine. I kept giving them second chances thinking that a Christian owned company would be a little bit more honest with me. That was my mistake but the fact that all of my vehicles that they have touched have more problems than they did bringing them in is their mistake that they did nothing to make right. And Derek if you respond to this review stop lying. Just because you have a notepad and you take notes of the things that you want to write down doesn't mean that's what was discussed or what I was told. I have more problems with my vehicles than I did before bringing them to Christian brothers. There is no talking there way out of that

They accurately diagnosed my car s AC problem, explained very clearly answers to my questions, and fixed it as soon as the necessary part came in. I strongly recommend CB for their quality and high ethics.

If you're like me, you instinctively take a look at the Google review ratings of any business or service you are considering to use for the first time. In fact, it was because of their excellent reviews I used Christian Brothers Automotive here in North Port for a repair on my pickup truck a few months ago and was totally impressed and pleased with their service. But today, I was impressed even more when I called to schedule the repair of a tire leaking air on my wife's car. Angie scheduled the service within an hour after I called and then, the service manager informed me there would be no charge for the repair. This is the kind of thing unheard of these days! So if you're wondering why their customer's frequently give them excellent Google ratings, there's the two reasons I did!Service: Tires

Very bad place. You give your car to get fixed and they brake something else. Not treated every one same way. If you are black , they will not give you good service and might give your car other damage.... terrible

I had a good experience here. I had a bad oil leak and was afraid it would cost a LOT to fix. It ended up only needing an oil change and degrease to clean the oil. Of course, they notified me of other services that my vehicle needs like new tires etc. I was aware of all those items and plan on doing them when I can afford it. There was no pressure, no lies and I liked how they sent everything by text so that I could conveniently see and approve all work that I wanted done. I would go back and would recommend.

Fast friendly service. I needed a battery at 430pm on a Friday afternoon. I prefer Interstate Battery and they carried it. Ran the car down to them and within 15 minutes I was on my way.Service: BatteryService: Battery

Great front desk and staff ready to say hello! Based on research prices were FAIR!Never had to speak to a human to approve or deny services. Service is very exceptional. They care about the customer and are very detailed oriented. Highly recommend them. Just got my wife's vehicle back from Christian Brothers Automotive. I cannot give enough praise, took the vehicle in did more than I expected for service and customer care. They went Above and Beyond. I highly recommend them for you auto service needs. There team is outstanding. Thank you for the great services .

I had a strange sound coming from my car, and stopped in during lunch time with no appointment expecting to have to leave my car all day. They quickly had someone from the back, i believe his name was Chris, tall gentleman, and he came to my car and told me we could drive around to see what s wrong. Within seconds he said it s the wheel or tire, and upon turning the wheel, we saw a huge bolt i had run over. Again, I m waiting for him to suggest buying new tires, I m waiting for the sales pitch and having to get through a series of no s before fixing the problem. Not the case here, he grabbed a guy from the shop, allen i believe his name was, and said hey can you patch him real quick? Literally within a minute i was patched up, and when i opened my wallet, they told me no charge, don t worry about it and just keep us in mind for the future! So i received exceptional service, quickly and efficiently, at no charge! Never had such a positive experience at a mechanic shop! These guys deserve 10 stars and i will use them for any car service!!

Had my air suspension fail on my mercury grand Marquis called and they scheduled me for 8 the following morning they gave me a ride home and checked in out and within a hour gave me two options to fix I choose to convert to regular suspension they ordered the parts and it was ready at 3:00 pm Great service fair priceHighly recommend!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I was so happy to find a location here in Port Charlotte. I went across the street to AutoZone and they were so rude, barely even looked at me, and told me they were full. I got a complimentary road trip inspection at CBA, and they were honest about all issues. They were kind, welcoming, and even did me the favor of putting my new license plates on! I always feel well taken care of at CBA
