Honest, straightforward business. I had an issue with my Traverse and had them look at it - it turned out not to be an issue but they spent a considerable time looking at the vehicle and talking with me. Definitely would go there again, and I've heard the same from at least 5x other people. Thanks!

They were straight forward in review of my transmission issues and their method of repair commitment. They said that there were no parts available. However, I was able to find a place that could help in FWB.

Outstanding experience!!After having a few awful experiences at the dealerships, I googled and found Twin Cities Transmissions, let me tell you the experience was night and day difference. The customer service is amazing - Brandy and Adam are so kind and informative!! We have now been back numerous times and will call them for any car problems that we have just to see if they can do it. They are kind, honest, and aren't trying to rip you off but trying to help you. What a refreshing encounter after a dealership. Twin Cities Transmissions amazing work and great customer service and that is how businesses make you a customer for life with the experience from start to finish - top notch!

I didn't enjoy the woman at the counter. Snarky, narcissistic, condescending. Apparently, she's nice to others, but somehow I'm not in that club. I'll take my project anywhere but to have to deal with the condescending attitude. 2 months after they gave an initial look at my car to determine requirements - they wanted me to purchase certain parts for the project on my own - after I didn't come back (or do my homework assignment to purchase the parts they required), she calls me 2 months later and tells me I owe $120. She says I owed them for looking at the car. Me; 'What?' 'Ok.' I paid the bill - gave her my card # - wasn't going to argue with her. She then says; 'Well, when you coming in to do this?' Me; 'Uh, I'm not.' Her: 'Why not?' Me: 'Because you're snarky, and make the customer always feel like they're always doing something wrong.' Her; 'Well, that's weird.' I hang up. Jesus Christ Superstar. I'll bet she's fun at parties.

This is an update to my original review. Brandy from Twin Cities contacted me and explained that the parts houses in this region warrant both the part and the labor for replacement if the part fails within a year. Where I used to live, the parts houses would replace a defective part and the repair facility would cover the labor. Not what I'm used to, but if that's how things work here so be it.I'll be contacting Twin Cities in the next few months to get brakes done on my wife's car and will see how that goes.Original review: I'm not sure what to think about this place yet. Back in June I took my '17 Subaru Outback in because it sounded like it was beginning to produce some bearing noise. One of the techs took a ride with me and agreed that it sounded like this was the case but they would have to get it up on a lift to be sure. I left it with them and a bit later they called to say that both rear bearings would need to be replaced at a cost of ~$1000. It seemed a little odd as the vehicle had just over 50k miles. I told them to go ahead with replacement anyway and they called to say it was ready the next day, which was pretty quick. The car runs fine now, with no bearing noise. But the parts cost looked a little high to me so I looked online for both after market parts and OEM parts from Subaru. The OEM parts are almost $60 dollars less apiece than what Twin Cities charged. After market are considerably less. I'm not sure what to think yet, as labor was less than the local dealer estimate and overall cost was slightly less.

Twin cities Transmissions was a pleasant surprise and had wish I had found them earlier. I have an old 1996 Ford F-250 and had issues with the transmission slipping. I went in there thinking that they would tell me that I need to rebuild my transmission. I made an appointment and drop off the truck. The mechanic called soon after as a few questions and about an hour later they called to give me the diagnoses and it was a bad sensor and the cost. When the mechanic called the first time I also asked to check my air conditioner which had not worked for two year. I drove the truck two hot summers. The problem with the air was no Freon. They fixed both for under $700. Like I said I wish I had found them earlier but I had never found a trust worthy mechanic. It took them just two days. Great company!

I took my CJ5 jeep in to have a new clutch kit put in. It was hard to press clutch pedal in and holding it in at a red light was brutal. The clutch pedal was so hard to use I actually thought about putting in a hydraulic clutch kit. Adam told me he would take care of it and advised me to wait and see what it felt like after he finished. Well after they finished and I started up the jeep and at first thought it was broke, but it wasn't. It was so easy and smooth that I won't need the hydraulic clutch. Plus the price blew my mind. I have definitely found my new auto repair shop. Quick turnaround, Great work and easy on the wallet. Even if you just have a question these guys know cars!!!Service: Transmission

Twin Cities Transmission was highly recommended to me by two separate individuals. I took my vehicle there for transmission service. My transmission problem was quickly diagnosed and was professionally repaired in short order for a very fair price. My transmission shifts like new. I am very pleased with the quality and service of the staff and technicians there. I highly recommend Twin Cities Transmission for your auto repair.

We were referred to Twin Cities Transmissions by a mechanic we trust, and wow was he right! From the start they were professional and helpful, they accommodated my schedule with an early morning drop off, communication was EXCELLENT, Brandy was helpful and informative about exactly what repairs were needed and how much they would cost. They finished the job 6 hours ahead of schedule and for $40 less than was quoted. If I ever have another transmission problem this is the only place I will go, and I highly recommend you do the same. Thanks TCT!

My wife's car had intermittent problem where it just turned off while at/after stops, but the check engine light never came on. Tried two other local places first, but nobody seemed that interested in putting in the effort to find what would ultimately be an inexpensive (though well-hidden) repair that was jeopardizing family's safety. When we were about to give up, they reassured us that they were going to figure it out. And they did. If that wasn't enough, the price of the repair was unreasonably low: it's the only time I've left an auto shop and felt they should've charged me more. Lots of good mechanics in local area, but Twin Cities was first that took the absence of a "check engine" light as a challenge, not an excuse. Easily my first choice for any future car repairs.

The nice woman working the desk seems busy but she was rocking her job and we appreciate the fast service. Mechanics have worked on our vehicles before and we will continue to bring them business. You all looked really busy. Thank you for working so hard!

We ve had to use Twin Cities Transmissions twice over the past couple of weeks because of our older Acura. Brandy has been great! You can definitely trust they have your best interest in mind. No need to call around to any other shops in town.

EXPERIENCE #1: When my power steering cooler sprung an irreparable leak, I purchased a higher quality aftermarket cooler vetted by many other owners but did not have the time to install it myself. No shop in the area wanted to touch it unless I agreed to buy a garbage 12-year-old iron OEM Mazda cooler through them (For $400 mind you! The aftermarket one was $100 shipped and is a superior product used by many people who track my car). I got recommended here by my local motorcycle mechanic who I trust, and he was right. The staff are very friendly and honest to deal with and they fix things quickly, affordably, but most importantly CORRECTLY. They'll even let you look under your car with their lift to inspect. They took my power steering cooler kit and installed it in a day with a fluid flush for less than $150 bucks.EXPERIENCE #2: My rear left brake caliper jammed itself onto the rotor during a road trip and ended up damaging both the rotor and caliper. Since it was due for pads anyways, they offered to buy OEM rear rotors, a caliper, and pads for Mazda's going rate, but I asked if I could provide these parts if I could find them myself. Again, they had no problem with it! I ended up sourcing new rotors, pads, and calipers at all four corners from RockAuto and they installed it quickly and returned my old calipers to me for a core refund. The rotors were completely seized onto the hubs as this is a Massachusetts rust bucket, but they were able to replace everything for less than $250. All in all, I got new rotors, pads, and calipers with labor for less than what the OEM set would have cost just to purchase, let alone install at a dealer. I even asked what it would cost to replace my air conditioner and they quoted me a number that was less than half of what the dealership was trying to quote me (With parts and labor for both, but I decided not to).

I had a great experience. I live in pensacola and commute to niceville. I had to plan to bring the car in so i could pick it up timely. Had a check engine light that came on and they could not verify there was a problem. It confused them as much as me. I had no price charge....not even for them looking at the problem. I feel they were honest, caring and smartly responsible. Thanks guys, im a little happy about the weirdling coincidence.

A sudden transmission leak forced us to seek repair when arriving to Destin for Vacation. We asked a local auto parts store for a reputable shop, and were directed to Twin Cities Transmission. I believe we received excellent, and more importantly, HONEST service. I, of course, expected catastrophic news. Thankfully, the shop found no major issues after thoroughly cleaning and test driving the van. Best of all, they charged me $0.00 for their diagnostic efforts. EASY 5 STARS.

Took the wife's truck here for engine repair. They fixed the problem for awhile but ultimately didn't solve the root issue. The repairs took twice as long as originally stated, which would have been fine if that were explained to us. Instead, we had to call back on a daily basis and pull information out of the clerk. Finally, the clerk was not very friendly at all and seemed annoyed that we were asking questions. Overall, if I HAD to take a vehicle back here, I would, otherwise I'd find somewhere else that appreciated my business.

I had a mystery squealing and vibration that no other mechanic could figure out. One mechanic told me it was a differential problem and that they wouldn't touch it. I took my truck to Twin Cities Transmission because I was told they were the only ones in town that could fix it. The mechanics here honestly care and since the noise was intermittent one of them actually rode around with me for 30 minutes just to try to replicate the noise. He was able to identify the issue as a driveshaft point that needed greasing. I'm very thankful that they were willing to go out of their way to help me fix my vehicle even when everyone else in town turned me away. Thank you!

Gave us a great price on a serpentine belt. A few months later the belt gave us a squeaky noise. They replaced everything for free, no problems. Very happy with their honesty and ethical practices, also their cheap prices

I've been waiting on putting this review up for while. But a while back i had to get my brake pads replaced. TC Trans told me that i'd need to get my calipers replaced too. Out of concerns i stated, "I'm worried that you'll order refurbished calipers and they'll rus..." The woman at the front desk interrupted me, "We only get the best parts for your cars." I agreed and went on my way. Sure enough on the return of my car not but the first light rain my calipers rusted over. That being said, they did fix a rear diff issue and made my ride just a bit smoother. I'd just appreciate just a bit more honesty.*Update: only 20,000 miles on the calipers they replaced and i'm having to replace them again.

RUN!!! RUN RUN as fast as you CAN! I had my car towed from santa rosa to the niceville location to get diagnosed. 4,000 for a new transmission was what I was told. So im busting hours out trying to save it and fix it.Got it towed back to my house in the mean time of getting the fiances together to make it happen. I Have been getting quotes to find a deal like crazy and have even talked to several people about buying it including dealerships. Today I find out that its only my links between my transmision and clutch- $300.00 fix. I could not be more disappointed in not only the service but lack of possible options that were even discussed. I cant even say enough how happy I am that I did not give this company A SINGLE PENNIE of the money I earn. I almost gave myself a 9,000 loss a mistake of selling my car because I was lied to an told that my car ran out of transmision fluid, my type of transmission uses gear oil not transmision fluid. I highly recommened going anywhere else they are much nicer to deal with. They all have more knolage then this establishment. Im so glad I actually looked at all my options an stuck out this prosses and did not sell my car based off of this "diagnoses". Sure glad my towes were not out of pocket because I doubt they would have taken care of that. They confirmed that infact they did not pull my tansmission away to see what exactly was wrong with my car that is why i am writing a review.

I would like to brag about Twin Cities Transmission. I took my 2003 Jaguar to them for what I thought was a transmission problem. The mechanic diagnosed my problem to the engine; his efforts renewed my car s performance. I am very pleased with the work that was done. Thanks Twin Cities.

In town just for a 5 day vacation, and had some transmission issue. They got it fixed within 2 days, and did a great job communicating by phone, and email. Back on the road in time to drive back home.

Malicious or grossly incompetent, they caused problems that I did not bring my vehicle in for but then tried to charge me for troubleshooting. Another (honest) shop found their sabotage right away. Found them to be very dishonest and not pleasant to deal with.
