AS HONEST AS THEY COME... REFRESHING!!! I had called yesterday about a leak of what I thought was transmission fluid from under my car. Ryan told me to bring the car in to him in the morning and he'd get it up on the lift to check it out for me. I dropped my car off at 8am and by 11:30am I received a call that I didn't have a transmission problem that I was leaking coolant. I asked how much for the diagnosis and was impressed to be told, no charge! He could have ripped me off, he could have charged me for his time... That would have been reasonable. Glad to know there's still honest good guys out there running their business with honesty and integrity. If you are looking for any transmission work on your car, don't hesitate to give these guys a call. I hope I don't have any transmission issues in the future, but if I do... I know I'm calling Universal Transmission in Naples.

Torally honest! I was told by the sevice department at my dealership that I needed a $9,000 repair. I took my car to Universal Transmission and after a careful inspection, I was informed that I didn't need thar repair. They told me they could do the repair with a refurbished part for $1,500, but recommended that I don't do it. What amazing integrity.

My husband's truck was done within 2 days of it being dropped off. Needed a new transmission after his blew and left him stranded on the side of the road lol AAA towed the truck there Wednesday and it was dome by mid Friday. Haven't driven it yet but very happy with the customer service (answered our calls everytime/took payment over the phone) and super quick turn around time :)

The crew at Universal were quickly able to get my truck in the shop after an emergency, and they were even quicker to get us back on the road. Very friendly and helpful, zero complaints!

Just had our transmission rebuilt, they were excellent in price with a warranty. Got it done pretty quick , super friendly . Very experienced. Seriously look no further , call Marty or Ryan. They are the best!Very pleased.

Visiting from Illinois, single Mom with 3 kids and a pup - transmission blew - Marty was honest and kind. Advising me NOT to put more money into a van that is clearly not worth it. Even showing me how to get the van down the road safely without completely clogging the trans to trade it in. I am full of gratitude and appreciation to this man for his kindness and advice - we made it home safely to Chicago. I would use Universal Transmission and recommend Marty Walsh to anyone! Lived here my whole life, but never needed transmission work. Did not know the best place to go. But, after a visit over there, talking with Marty, and getting a referral from a friend, we took our truck there. We had a 2006 F150 4x4 with a shot transmission. Was given a quote to install a rebuilt one. Dropped it off at night after hours. Transmission was finished in 3 days. Was charged quote as quoted with no addition charges. Truck runs great and transmission is smooth. Would highly recommend this place. You can trust them.Service: Transmission

Transmission was acting up and Ron did a diagnostic and cleared a bunch of codes and it's running better. He was very accommodating because I did not have an appointment and was very honest about potential issues. Truck was there for 6 weeks still haven't touched it. Was promised it would be done 3 -5 days. Went to check on progress and was lied to 3 times about when it would be finished.Would not recommend them for your service, not trust worthyService: Transmission

They were able to quickly identify the issue with my car and I had my car back in 24 hours. I waited 3 weeks to post this review to make sure my car was still going to be operating just fine (it is). Great service and great technicians. Thank you!

I just wanted to share that I highly recommend universal transmission. I'm really picky on where I take my vehicles, most places kinda make me uncomfortable on the price and how they handle my vehicles. This place was very professional, knowledgeable, and they didn't waste no time and got right too it. ***Must bring your car here! Best auto shop to take your car when you need you re desperate to get your car back on the road. My husband and I took our Infiniti to 2 shops before bringing it to universal and both shops only made it worse. We had to tow our car from those shops to them, they were very kind, understanding, and informative. Explained to me the options and a great price. Our car runs better than it did before and we couldn t be happier. We wish we brought it there sooner than going months without a vehicle and spending so much money on Uber s.Service: Transmission

So I originally had my car towed to tire choice they told me I needed a new transmission but they wanted too much money so I got a better price from universal transmission so I had my vehicle towed to their shop. When they looked at it it turned out that I did not need my transmission rebuilt it was a caliber bolt missing from my front left wheel. They could have lied to me and fixed it and said they rebuilt my transmission but they were honest with me and they gave me my deposit back! I apreciate the fact that they told me what was actually wrong with my vehicle, very honest people!

My 2015 Ford Explorer s transmission was jerky. It has less than 60,000 miles on it. I took it to the local Ford car dealer where I purchased it a year ago and they said it needed a new $7300 transmission. I paid the $430 diagnostic fee and took it down the road to Universal transmission. Marti drove it and suggested I change the transmission fluid and add an additive which I did and it s running like a dream. Thanks Marty for saving me $7300!Service: Transmission

I have known Marty for over 30 years always treated me well until my Honda accord needed his help. He rebuilt the transmission three times within 60 days. When I got it back it still wasn t correct. But then when fourth gear finally went completely out again he said bring it by and let me see what it s doing. After looking at the car he told me when situations like this come up, I usually split the cost with the customer and rebuild the transmission again. He told me it would be $1200. How is that splitting the cost when that s what he charged me originally.

Marty was initially very polite. I repeatedly gave his shop an opportunity to fix my transmission after the initial attempted failed. Then as one other individual's review points out, he became very rude when I had to bring it back yet again. It should be noted that I'm out $1900.00 and the transmission has the same symptoms it had when I brought it to the shop initially for repair.

Marty was extremely helpful when I accidently out engine oil into the transmission oil.He even stopped by my place to check it so I wouldn't have to drive it.I was at his shop the next morning and drained the tyranny oil and.replaced it and also did a diagnostic on it. Great place. Marty was very helpful and polite. Dropped the truck off friday, picked it up on tuesday. Gave us a 12 month 12k mile warranty too! Great place thats plenty capable and plenty affordable.

they recently did the transmission in my 2005 F150. It is better than its been in years. it was a very good experience start to finish. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of what they offer!

Universal has put transmissions in 2 of my cars. Exceptionalwork ethic, great people, the most helpful. Explained everything to me. Came with a warranty. Never had any problems afterwards. Which to go to them a third time in a heartbeat if I had to.
