Such a hidden gem! The tiki bar is awesome, with a beautiful view. Really good burgers and onion rings. They have bags of mimosas that are delicious! We loved sitting in the rocking chairs outside our room, sipping coffee and listening to the rain. The Inn itself is very clean and quiet. All the rooms have Casper mattresses, which makes for great sleep! The staff from the Inn to the tiki were all great and attentive. We will definitely return.

I booked a trip to this hotel and was so looking forward to going after reading the wonderful reviews. I am disabled and have 2 cats as service animals that have been with me 8 years and they are documented, registered with the U.S. government and were trained to do special tasks to help me. They assist me with my meds, seizures, waking me up to eat, among many other tasks and of course lots of love. I received a letter from the Inn Keeper telling me she can't have any cats because she hates dander. I wrote back after I found other accommodations, and thanked her for her letter, but also reminded her that it's illegal to refuse to allow me to stay there so long as my animals are really service animals and they are and I have the documents to prove it. I have never been turned away from any hotel and I have traveled all over the world. In addition, the breed of my cats does not have dander so she wouldn't have had anything to worry about. I want those who need help with special needs this hotel is not friendly at all and even if this was a dog I was bringing, I am pretty sure she would have found an excuse for that scenario as well. I don't consider this such a gem when this is how guests with special needs are treated. I would think again about staying at a hotel like this if this is how disabled people are treated.

My wife and I stayed 1 night, 5/1/21. The desk person, Julie, was wonderful as she checked us in, showed us around and then got ice for us upon my request. The owner, Amber, was very friendly as well and told us the history of the property. The Inn is beautiful, historic and romantic. It is located just a short walk up from the Tiki Bar on the lake. Unfortunately we were only there one night. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here right after remodel. Absolutely perfect. Nice, clean, comfortable room and very friendly staff. Just a short walk down the path to the tiki bar which had great food and drinks at good prices. Perfect place to watch the sunrise or sunset. Definitely will stay again.

Before getting into what went wrong, I'd like to say that prior to our arrival, the staff did their best to accommodate us. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency that happened, and it resulted in us getting to our destination late, as well as, half of the family not being able to join us on our family trip until we were already checked out. As we settled in, we were happy to finally be able to lay our heads somewhere and eat considering I'm pregnant and 2 toddlers traveled with us. Things began to turn when I found bugs on the toilet seat; bugs I'm not familiar with but raised concern due to them ONLY being on the toilet seat. Keep in mind it is pass midnight and the front desk closes at a certain time, so checking out immediately was impossible. In addition, trying to find another place without allowing my husband (who drove) and the toddlers to get some rest, felt very inconsiderate for me to had done that. So we cleaned the seat throroughly, however, I could not sleep after that. Being pregnant, I have to use the bathroom often and I just truly did not want to use it. Not only that, my anger came from the thought that if any of the toddlers went #2 on the toilet without notifying us first, they could have had a butt full of bugs that we had no idea what it could have resulted in. I also ended up with someone's hair on my naked body after drying off with the towel. I'm sure it was not mine or any other family members' hair because it was long and straight while my family's hair were all either completely cut or in braids, including mine. When the front desk was open, my husband and I went to explain the situation. Now, being in the food industry and running a restaurant, I know what it is for some situations to be totally beyond your control. Knowing this, my issue wasn't simply the bugs and hair, it was the response. I was hoping to have empathy of understanding fron what could have happened had the children got these bugs on them. My hope was a response that can be followed with a plan of action such as "we truly apologize and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I know we are in a woody area but we will definitely fog the room to prevent this with another family" or "We apologize for a hair ending up on your body from the towel; moving forward, we will require hair nets when cleaning and getting rooms ready". These I would have accepted as administration seeing our complaints as valid and important, but to hear "I can't help it if a bug gets in" or "I can't help it if a miscellaneous hair gets on a towel as I'm getting the room ready" truly made me feel less than acknowledged. Also, myself working in a customer service industry, I can read straight through someone using a nice tone to sweep concerns under a rug and that is what happened. As I said, PRIOR to our arrival, the staff did make accommodations and it is appreciated. But when concerns came up during the stay, it is almost like we offended the staff member we spoke to considering we were not met from a place of empathy but instead excuses. Most people would have demanded either a discount or that 1st night free of charge but neither myself or my husband felt it necessary to go that far with the response we were met with; we know an exhausting battle when we see one. Therefore, I truly wish that the few complaints this establishments may receive is met with empathy and understanding moving forward.

Such a cute little place to stay. It s right on the water where you can rent boats from Tiki Boat Rentals and on the same property as the Tiki Bar and Grill...this place has everything you could want! Rooms have been recently updated and are super comfy and clean. Highly recommend.

Pleanty of parking, lovely turn of last century building, clean, well kept. Booked a king bed, exceptionally comfortable, room small by todays standards, a bathroom smaller than two phone booths, no breakfast. Had i paid 100.00 i would have left a five star review but i paid just under 200.00 and left feeling i had been had. In any season this is a 100 room........no breakfast, no pool, no gym, no elevator but a comforatble bed and a bathroom smaller than your average out house..........thats a 100 dollar room in the on season and a 75 room in the off season. for that reason would not recommend.

The Lake Minneola Inn is such a beautiful little hotel. The owners have managed to give it a fresh facelift without losing the historical character or feel of old fashion hospitality. The staff go above and beyond to assure a relaxing atmosphere. The Tiki bar has great food, ice cold beverages and even pontoon rentals to enjoy all beautiful Lake Minneola has to offer.

I travel from Windermere with my boat and launch at the public ramp as often as possible. This place is directly across the lake and has tons of room for boats. Now the water level is way up and cool to see. This place truly does have a great burger and fries although sometimes I get an ice cold bun :( . Since finding this little gem I really don't mind the drive and enjoy loading my boat with family and friends to show them a good time there. The Clermont chain of lakes are a great experience and after lake hoping we always go right back to "The Tiki Bar" for round 2 to finish the day.P.S.Please let your bartenders talk to customers. We go there to be talked to more than just when our drink is low.

Owner/manager works very hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. The old home has charm, but noisy because you hear everything like people walking up the staircase in the middle of the house.

Had a great weekend at this funky little key west style inn on Lake Minneola. It was clean and bright and I will definitely be going back. Todd was a great host, look forward to seeing him again!

Drinks are ice cold and cheap. Food is great. View can't be beat. Sometimes the service can be better and since it is outside dining and a bar there is typically smoking going on... But the prices and the view is worth it.

Ducked in with the Sis and Diamond Greg after touring the nearby Lakeridge Winery and it was a fine time, here's why:* Stuck in time* Waterfront on Lake Minneola* All bottled beer on ice, SCORE!* Hottie servers* Inexpensive* Corn Dogs on the menu* Massive shade trees canopy the acreage* Boat marina, too.* No liquor, beer and wine only.Good stuff, Cabeza OUT!
