I had my transmission acting up in my 2014 Chevy Silverado. I brought it by for him to look at and it ended up being the pos transmission Chevy had put in these trucks. He ended up swapping the transmission out for a reman. Which he did for a reasonable price. Unfortunately that one ended up leaking some oil so I took it back for him to look at. He said he would get with his rep on getting another one. I m currently in the process of getting another one ordered and installed but I have had no issue with getting a hold of him or getting information about what was going on within the process.

My S/O took our Buick to Fahr Automotive. We were told it would be $430 to fix a radiator problem. My s/o had everyone at the shops number since the vehicle was there for so long. The very next day the same exact problem happened. Our vehicle has been at their shop for over a week just sitting. She has called them multiple times trying to get an update, to no avail. Yesterday I stopped at the shop, around 340pm, to see why it was in the grass and had not been taken into the shop any. No one was there, even though their hours are whatever-5pm. Today my s/o asked why it hadn t been looked at and was told by the old man with a beard that it s a gasket problem and they have tried calling, texting and the whole 9-yards to get in touch and let us know. So if you want to be lied to about what s wrong with your vehicle and pay $430 for no reason, and also get told a lie about them trying to contact you for days, then Fahr Automotive is the place for you! Just don t be a young woman who doesn t know anything about cars, otherwise your car will have expensive problem after problem while they are too unprofessional to admit they didn t contact you in a correct timeframe. You can barely see the smoke in the photo, but it would not explode the exact same way it had been after they got us, all squared away, the first time.Service: Engine repair

Will never use this place again... charged me $400 to put in a sensor. Got the vehicle home and a couple days later it broke down in my driveway. Called and left numerous messages and they will not return my phone call. Two weeks later and still no return call. Probably because, "the mechanics tend to get more done when there's a wrench in their hand and not a phone". (Side note: hire someone to answer the phone, or better yet have your wife do it. She's there every time I've been there).... I now have a huge oil leak that wasn't there before. When he had my vehicle I asked him to not start working on it if he couldn't do the job in 2 days as I needed my truck so I would just bring it back. Once I dropped it off I never heard from them and couldn't get them on the phone. I had to borrow a vehicle for 2 days to do what I needed. When I questioned them about why they didn't call they said they had tried but couldn't reach me, yet everyone else who called me had no problem..... terrible customer service and dishonest at best. Of course after I let them do the work I've heard horror stories from local customers..... fool me once, won't happen again.

Fahr Automotive did an excellent job on replacing the starter on my Ford truck. Service was done in a timely manner and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

I took my car to get the Air Conditioner fixed but they said I needed a new suction hose. They said it would take 2-3 days to receive the part! I have messaged them several times to see if they have received the part and no response and it s been almost a week since I went

This has to be the biggest sorriest mechanic I ever seen in my life! He got cars wrapped around the building and work by himself! His work ethic is pathetic all he do is lie to get your money and make excuses. I lost 6 months and got con out of 10k after I was told he would shut the shop down to complete my car! Just to get my money to catch up on his bills and nothing was done to my car. please stay away from this thief! I got to go to court just to get my money back.Service: Auto maintenance

John is too busy, seems nice enough but after three weeks of not having time to work on my vehicle got mad and blurted out expletives when I asked if he had time to do the job. He said he gets upset when people act that way? Then told me he had 30 vehicles to do but assured me " he has time" I think he very good and highly knowledgeable though.

Solid service at a great price. I have been meaning to write this view for a while now. I was quoted $3,000 to repair the air conditioning system in my 2007 Dodge 3500 truck. John was able to do it for $900! This was done over a year ago and it still runs strong! He is professional and honest. One of the worst things I hate is feeling like you are being taken advantage of by a mechanic. I have seen John three separate times for various issues and I have never felt that way. I will be moving and will unfortunately have to find another mechanic.

This shop has to have paid for a 5-star rating! I dropped my vehicle off to have it diagnosed and almost two weeks later it was still sitting in the same spot. I was told when I called that the mechanic was going to immediately get working on my vehicle; that just didn't happen. So, it is my advice to seek a different shop like Pep Boys in Pace!

I was referred to this shop by the mechanic on Whiting Field. While I am not questioning the mechanic work, I am questioning Mr. Fahr's business ethics. He wasn't there when I dropped my truck off. I specifically asked the shop not to do any work before contacting me to discuss the cost. I called at least once a day, sometimes twice a day for an entire week. After a week of this, I went up there with the intentions of taking my truck regardless. Not only had he done the work in which I was referred there for but he did additional work costing more than $400. I don't know what kind of deal this guy has with the mechanic at Whiting Field but MILITARY BEWARE of the scam!!!!

If you are an out of towner and need an honest mechanic please go out of your way to stop here. I was on my way home from vacation in Panama City Beach Florida and ran into some type of fuel injection issue. I read the reviews that were already posted about Fahr Automotive and the positive ones couldn t have been more right. Honest and affordable service I can t even find in my own hometown. Thank you again John.

I have three different brand of car in my house, and if you have cars that are not new, you know very well that you will have to give maintenance and repairs, I have taken it to Farh Automotive and they have done a great job with my cars, they are very honest with customers and very professional in their work, thank you, Farh Automotive, you keep doing a great job in the community.Service: General repairs & maintenance
