I highly recommend Clay County Transmission. They worked with you and explained everything in detail of what needed to be done. While it was there, they would call, giving updates on my vehicle. Dave and Candy are very good people and great to work with. They did a great job with my vehicle, it rides great!

I've been at this shop several times. This time it was for my husband's truck. Dave gives great costumer service. He is very knowledgeable. He took care of what needed to be done and discussed with my husband how to keep his truck in optimal condition. Price was fair.

Dave and his crew are amazing and trustworthy. Brought my truck in to have the clutch replaced. Excellent workmanship. 9 months later and have issues with it and they were quick to get in there and figure out the problem and get me back on the road. 10/10 would recommend!

Dave and his team did a fantastic job! I couldn't be more happy! I took my truck in to get an estimate after my 4l60e decided it wanted to lose 3rd and 4th gear 2 days before Christmas... Dave gave me a quote and I left to secure funding. Once I had the money ready I dropped my truck off with them to work on. Dave called me everyday and I mean EVERYDAY to keep me updated on the progress!I dropped the truck off on 1/2/2023 around 10am. He called me that evening to let me know that they weren't able to get it in the shop that day.The second day he called me at 11:12am to let me know they had the truck in and the transmission pulled.On the third day I received a call around 9:59am with a bit of bad news that to repair the transmission the price was going up $280 above the quote. He invited me down to the shop so I could inspect the damage myself. My rear planetary gear set was on its way out the door with failing bearings. We discussed the culprit of the failure and both concluded that the original (346k mile) torque convertor went (evidenced by fine metal in the pan) which resulted in the clutch packs going and the damage to the rear planetary gear. He informed me that it would be next day to get another rear planetary gear in since he typically doesn't keep them in stock.I got the call aroubd 12:37pm on 1/5/2023 to come pick up my truck! All the gears shifted the way they should he also informed me to bring the truck in after a couple hundred miles so they can look over everything. When I did they took the time to test drive it and check for leaks! Everything came back looking good! I did have 1 concern which they informed me that it was caused by a failing engine mount... at the time of writing this review I have put around 1200 miles on the truck since the rebuild with about 300 of those miles pulling my 7x14ft enclosed trailer (4000lb-5500lb) around the city and on the highway and the transmission has done a fantastic job! I couldn't be happier!All in all I feel like this company really cares about their customers. Dave even informed me that he wants people to feel like family when they use their services!Thanks Dave!

Dave and his crew have always been professional and straightforward about my concerns. Over the past few years took several of the family vehicles there. They seem very busy these days, but when you know what you are doing and take care of your clients, nothing but success.

Had my transmission rebuilt in the time frame I was promised, Great price out the door ( cheaper quote than AAmco ) Fast,Courteous and Professional service explaining the issue and process to repairWith confidence and a warranty to back up their work!! I will definitely return with my second truck and my wife's Tahoe for any service or repairs. I would strongly recommend Clay County Transmission to all my friends!!

They never contacted me back, after calling with an issue on my 2021 Jeep transmission. The lady I spoke with had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, and said no one was there to answer my question. The entire conversation I could hear a guy explaining how they was going to fix someone else s problem in the background. Not impressed

A business should be judged based off how they react to issues. I had a rocky road to getting my truck fixed due to manufacturer bad parts. I think they were honest, they helped me, they corrected the situation and in the end made it right. We didn t see eye to eye on everything but the customer is right attitude is the road they took and I have lots of respect for Dave for that. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else. Good honest workers. As for transmission shops go they are top tier.Service: Transmission

1st time bringing my car here for service. I shopped around prior to coming here for transmission fluid exchange. Was very happy with the look of the business. Clean neat and friendly. Was pleased how other customers were treated while I was there. This are some of things I look for when taking my car for service.

They are very honest and very nice. They did my transmission and my husband's transmission quality work and if work got done and something happened they will be right on it to make it right. We brought in our 2002 Dodge Ram with issues that were not Transmission related. They checked everything out and let us know what really needed to be done, and repaired what was needed. They did not create a list of other repairs to be done, as so many other businesses would have done, and we know that there are several other things that need to be addressed, so they could have. We will return on a later date to fix the other issues that are not emergent because they are always up front and honest with a no pressure approach with their customers. Can't say enough about the great service and experience working with Dave and his team. I had the transmission on a work truck rebuilt, Everything was great. Got a little vibration in the truck 6 months later with milage exceeding warranty and they still covered it and repaired it at no cost. The integrity, honesty and fair pricing of this company is what a true American company represents. Highly recommend using them!!

They know what they talking about. Worth the cost and done right. My torque converter went out and they rebuilt the transmission and they seen 2 motor mounts bad and pointed that out so they replaced that also. It sucks thinking it's one thing and they find other things but I'm glad they did. It was my choice to have it fixed or not. They did an outstanding job and finished pretty quick. Like a couple of days and the truck runs great now. They have been doing business a long time there. If your going to pay the money anyway you should go to clay transmission Here to get it done. No discount for saying this. Just when something is right I point it out. And these people are alright in my book.

Dave performed first class repairs & my 2001 Jeep GCL drives like a new car. After picking it up I went on an 85 mile shakedown drive and just enjoyed the way it performed. The vehicle is much safer now I wouldn t hesitate to take off on any distance drive. I was told my transmission needed to be replaced by another mechanic. I called around and clay county transmission was the best price. Then when Dave checked out my vehicle, it turns out my transmission is fine. It was a completely different issue. They saved me a lot of money!!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Wasted my time. Made an appt to have a simple fluid and filter change for my class c. Was specific to the type and size of vehicle. Show up that morning and they advised they can't do it because the mechanic is out. How about a phone call? Inconvenienced my friend who came to pick me up and drove a 30ft motorhome out for nothing. Guy tells me he couldn't do it anyway because they don't have a lift large enough. Told him I was clear as to what it was. Said, well you're talking to a woman. Pretty poor business. I will do it myself!
