It would be nice if they were actually open during the business hours they post online. Get all the way over to their lot and they are randomly just closed on a normal weekday, no holiday. Why even post business hours if you are just going to change them whenever you want.

I gave the benefit of the doubt with respect to their overall rating. After visiting I m surprised it s that high. Don t waste your time. The yard is small and has overgrown weeds so it s difficult to access the vehicles. The guy who priced out part didn t even know what it was for and still asked $40. I disagreed and asked to work with me. But instead he was condescending and rude. I enjoy rebuilding old cars and they just lost a local customer for life. I went to Go-Pull-It and got the part for only 6 bucks!!! And that place has much better selection with a maintained lot.

I call early in the morning and was help with no problem at all was given a confirmation on the vehicle I was looking for and a price for the part. Ones I got there we pay the entry fee and went straight to it first challenge was that the vehicle was not raise without hesitation they came to help lift it and positioned it just as I need it. I will definitely be back for all my needs

Went there for the first time, needing a Pulley, Called, and the lady that answered was so helpful. I was in a bind and needed the part pulled. She told me it would be later in the evening before they could pull part for me. Had to call back to change the part needed twice, and each time she was so patient and kind. But when I got there they had already pulled the part and was so personable. Great Service , Will definitely be back !

These fools want $30-$100 for a stock saturn ion radio. Since when did the junkyard become more expensive than buying retail??? I really hope whoever answered the phone was just mistaken because idk anyone who is gonna pay that for a radio from the junkyard with no guarantee of refund if it doesn't work nonetheless more than you'll pay from an online store and when you buy it online you don't have to drive anywhere and rip it out to acquire it. I see this junkyard becoming an abandoned lot sooner than later. (Edit in response) $16 from a real junkyard. Half of your lowest price. Also I specified the one I needed obviously I wasn't being herd. I honestly can't believe y'all are confident in your pricing.

Awesome place. I ve been to junkyards all across Clay and Jacksonville. This is by far the best one. The guy at the window was very very helpful. Extremely good prices. All the vehicles in the yard are very well organized and easy to navigate though. They have a large selection of cars. I found everything I was looking for for three different vehicles expediently. I highly recommend this to anyone and will definitely will be returning.

Edit: I was pretty angry when I wrote this. It s been 6 years now, but I still think about how bad this place was sometimes. Stay far far away.STAY AWAY. Worst scrap yard experience I have ever had. Bad prices, rude staff, and nothing at all helpful. I was searching every junk yard in 100 miles of me for a late '80s Volvo 240. Their website said they had 3. I called to confirm this and once again was told they had 3. I drove over an hour to get this part. I then spent 2 hours wandering around their yard looking for the cars. I checked back at the office 3 times and told them I didn't see a 240 in their yard. They rudely told me each time to keep looking, acting like I was an annoyance because I kept asking them why I couldn't find the car they insisted they had. After 2 hours they finally told me that they had 500 cars on their computer that they no longer had. They kept me out there for 2 hours chasing my tail because they didn't bother to check if they actually had the car before I drove 100 miles round trip to get the part. Then the man behind the counter acted like my anger was unreasonable after being rude to me since I got there. This condescending a hole was completely unapologetic at first and barely apologetic after I calmed down. I may have used some salty language but I never directed it at him and I never raised my voice and he had the nerve to tell me that he was "doing me a favor by not using bad language." At that point I was done. He offered to sell me the one part I did want (a rusty old standard 6 bolt steering wheel off an old Alfa) for 20 dollars. I may have paid that at a scrap yard that provided wheel barrows or water or were at least semi-helpful in any way but I would not have thought it was a good deal. He wanted to sell it for 30 or 40. At this point I told him I wasn't going to give him a dime and left. This place is not worth the trouble. Don't even bother with these people.

Went there for a fair amount of parts. At first it looked sketchy but, when I saw the shear selection and volume of vehicles I was blown away. I went it asked about the vehicle I was looking for and was told it was in the back, correct model but not the vehicle I was looking for. A friendly staff member offered a ride and aided in the search. Eventually the vehicle was located and I got the correct parts in excellent condition in the same color at an UNBEATABLE price. The staff were extremely personable and offered assistance if I were to need anything. I had to make two trips for the parts i purchased and ended up buying another part on my second trip back because the price for the part went for $80 online and I got it for $20. The guy working the desk even handed me his keys so I could go use his personal tools so I could remove a part. I will DEFINITELY be going back if I need anymore parts.

Picked a part off an old mustang. Was told that s my baby and acted like she didn t want to sell parts off the car. At the end wanted to charge $50 for a 36 year old part that can still be bought brand new for $40. Don t waste your time dealing with these jokers

It's a shame really. I worked there years ago and everyone was friendly and we ran a tight ship. I called looking for a part and a woman named Michelle answered the call. I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life. Not only was she rude, she got loud with me on the phone and treated me like an idiot. I have extensive vehicle knowledge so that was quite insulting. I have sent people there for parts for years, as well as made many purchases myself. Needless to say, my experience on that one phone call has ruined my image of A1. Thanks Michelle.

I have had the worst customer service experience with this company. They are too busy to answer your questions or provide receipts to their customers and then want to tell you, well you cant answer my questions, questions that had not even been asked of me at the point in the conversation. Then when asked why are you being so rude they blatantly tell you they are too busy to help you and this isn't their job yet it is all the same phone number. They don't have office staff on Wednesdays either, or at least that is what I was told. They are an absolute nightmare to deal with. The specific person I spoke with was Michelle, and that male was inconsiderate and rude and condescending when I was just requesting a receipt for a charge to a company credit card. I do not recommend anyone deal with this company with their prices and attitude.

A 1 Pick A Part? Yea, pick apart your wallet is more like it. These guys are terrible. Only reason I go there is because its close to home, Middleburg. I have dealt with them quite a few times, but didn't even know there was a place I could give them the review they have deserved for a while now...These guys have NO CLUE how to run a business. They are out to screw you, creating a 'one and done shopper'. They're not interested in building a relationship with customers. They'd rather stick it to you than work with you to EARN your business and keep a happy customer coming back.If you're looking for older Fords, don't waste your time. Selection is poor and the prices are sky high! Tried to be personable with Tim, the boss, and he just blows you off like he's got no time, when in reality, he's got no personality. I've been there over 10 times, at least, and they try to knock our head off every time. I just complain and tell them a fair price, They haggle some, but most times they are set in their over priced ways, and non existent personality. If you must deal with them, tell them what you are there getting, and get the price BEFORE you pay the cover and go in to pick it off. That way they can't arbitrarily decide on the price, after you spent an hour looking and another hour dismantling some junker they've had for three years. No kidding, I've seen the same green skeleton of a truck for 2-3 years out there.Final review = * *...Use these guys last, if Normandy, Rusty Acres, eBay, or everywhere else doesn't have what you need.

Just left there 40 minutes ago after losing $4 on an entrance fee for two people (my son and I).A $4 lesson! The entrance fee was $2.00/person two weekends ago. The guy behind the counter wanted $3/person today...and when I mentioned the rates going up....I get in reply....."Oh no. No. I was just messing with ya."Before we went in I asked for a price on a part that sells for $32 w/free shipping (and warranty!) on eBay.The quote I received was "$60 bucks." When told how much I could get it for on eBay.The guy said "Work with me on this." A$$HOLE! You gave up the right to be worked with when you tried to pick my pocket twice in less than 2 minutes!Do YOURSELVES A FAVOR......GO TO ANY OTHER YARD OR ONLINE FOR WARRANTED PARTS!!!! These guys are a bunch of "Carnies" waiting to rip you off!!!

They've done right by me.I got screwed by State Farm. They wanted to total my station wagon because of a trunk issue. Thankfully, I went and repaired it myself using a part from here. It's a genuine junkyard, so expect to be searching a bit before you actually find what you're looking for. Good luck!

Came here on Tues, 1/26/21 with a list of things to buy and $700 cash in my pocket, because they are local and close.Inquired on pricing on a plastic bumper cover, price they quoted was 2 to 3x higher than price sheet I had from other local U pull it yards. Advised them of their excesssive price point, she shrugged and said they Co-part as pricing guide. Yeah? So does everyone else in Jax and Gainesville and they arent charging near as much as you do. Yup, lost you this sale.Left A1 with the list and the $700 to be spent at their competitor's business. Since moving down here, I do this at least once or twice a month, thats a $1200-$1600 loss a month, every month for A1.To A1: hope you figure it out soon, your money is driving right past you every day on its way to be spent elsewhere in Jax!

This place has went downhill used to be a great place with fond memories now they charge you $2.00 just to go in and you pull your own part then they Google price and you pay new price for used then they charge you another $2.00 to use a card and inventory is not accurate seen cars out there they said they didn't have.Shop somewhere else!!

Ok, dont understand all the negativity about this place, I have been here several times, today Doug was working, told him what I need, " Tow Hitch for my Durango", he said yes, they have several. I removed the hitch and they only charged me $65, I felt that was a great price! Considering U-haul charged me over $350 to install one on my 96 Bronco. I also asked about the compartment door in the rear, he said sure, only $20, so i went back and after about 35 mins after I realized i did not have a torx to remove the seat belts strap, explained I needed to go home and come back, the local mechanic, Scotty, loaned me his tools so I did not have to make a second trip. Guys, don't know what the issues are, but customer's attitudes are half the issue. This place is local, and close to the surrounding area, help support your local small buisness!! Also, this place has great prices if your looking for any running work trucks!!! I will shop here again!!

I'd give 0 if I could. They'll give you one price then double that price when you go to get the part after pulling it yourself. Completely unorganized none of the staff are helpful I'd suggest saving your money and going elsewhere. If the part doesn't work you can't return it.COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

First of all, the staff at A1 Pick A Part were friendly and I'm not a mechanic and I don't know anything about car parts, with that said, I hired a mechanic that said it would be cheaper to buy a used part, therefore, I called A1 Pick A Part and get a quote for a master cylinder for my Saab, they quoted me $40 which I paid for it, my mechanic installed it oand it failed, it did not work!! So me and the mechanic decide that it may be best just to go ahead and buy a new master cylinder, I look online and I discover that brand new master cylinders are only $10 more than the price they quoted me for the very, very, rusty and used master cylinder that I got from A1 Pick A Part!!I decided to call A1 Pick A Part to see what my options were since the master cylinder has failed and I also asked them if they always price their very used parts so high to where they are literally only about $10 cheaper than a brand new part, which seems to be shady to me because you are in the used auto part business so you should know about what price new parts go for and then you should be offering a cheaper price because when a person called the junkyard they expect to get decent amount of savings then if they buy a brand new part, at least common sense tells me that!!This may have been a failure on my part, as well, as I should have done my due diligence and perhaps checked the prices for new parts, but again, thinking that common sense wud tell me that I wud get a much better bargain buying a used auto part from the junkyard, I thought I wud save more than $10.I was surprised that the representative told me they do not check new part prices prior to pricing the used parts.A1 did offer me a credit towards another used part, however, I dont need any parts now, they said save the receipt and when the time comes that I need something to bring the part that failed and the receipt and they will honor it.For me, living in Jacksonville, it's hard to get the time to drive to St. Augustine, so for now I'm out $40. Im just saying before buying from ANY junkyard, price new and used before making ur decision.

Theyre cars arent as stripped as some of these other junkyards, they had the part i needed, a little more expensive than other junkyards but if you own an older car like i do, theyre where you wanna go.

Expensive and very dirty...I mean dirty. Prices are high, no marked hours, and they close when they want to. Others have described the people which is kinda unfair, but that is the impression they give.

The receptionist at this place is rude and uneducated. My husband called several times to have someone come out to Oakleaf to pick up a car and this idiot wouldn't answer the call. So when I call from my office, she answers, not knowing that my husband is on the line. I wouldn't sell my trash to them. Get some friendly customer service people at your Middleburg location. Sorry to say they have no type of inventory control. Been calling on a vehicle for weeks to be told that they will return my call which they never did. Decided to go in person to see for myself and pay the entrance fee only to not find the said vehicle. Never will I be going out to this place again and nor will I be recommending to fiends either. Best customer service I think I ever came across. I can't find a part any where and she's going the extra mile to help with great communication like I said best.
