This shop is amazing. I took my car to three different shops and they all told me the job would be over $2,000 for a valve cover gasket. Two people referred me to Japanese car care. I took my BMW there and they replaced my valve cover gasket for half the price the other shops quoted me. Both Carlos Sr & Jr were amazing & Hugo was such a sweetheart, he s the BEST! I ve referred three people to the shop since then & they were ecstatic about their experience. Highly recommend!!

I took my car in for service and had them do an alignment at the end of November of 2023, since I had just installed 4 new tires. When I picked up the car and drove home, I felt the car pulling to the right and called the shop back to let them know. I spoke to Hugo who said that the alignment was done properly and the pulling to the right is because I had "cheap tires", mind you the tires were brand new. He said all he can do was rotate the wheels. A little over three months now and my right rear tire is completely damaged from the car not being aligned properly. I definitely would not take my car or recommend this place to anyone else.

From start to finish, they demonstrated a level of attentiveness and honesty that is hard to find.They took the time to listen attentively to my concerns about my car and asked insightful questions to understand the issue thoroughly. This initial interaction immediately instilled confidence in their expertise.What truly set this auto shop apart was their honesty. Rather than upselling unnecessary services, they provided an honest assessment of my car's condition and recommended only what was truly needed. Their transparent approach was refreshing and alleviated any concerns I had about being taken advantage of.They went above and beyond not just by fitting me in last minute but also willing to go out of their way by working on and fixing my BMW which they don't specialize in. However, they clearly had the knowledge to do the work.The work performed on my vehicle was outstanding. The technicians demonstrated great skill and attention to detail, resolving the issue effectively and efficiently.To top it all off, the prices were reasonable and fair, especially considering the top-notch service and expertise they provided. Wanted to leave a Zero star. This shop is dishonest. Any repair is overpriced and if you take it for a diagnostic and don't repair your car they will damage something else. Carlos is terrible. We thought we could trust you and you failed several times. Sell the shop to honest people. I would rate them as a zero if they didn't do decent work. �Their mechanics seem great, but the 2 guys up front that run the place lack integrity and are horrible liars. �A friend and colleague recommended them to me and I took my car to them several times in the past year for a few different issues. �The last time I took my car there was for ac repairs. �The ac was repaired but when I picked up the car there was a 16 inch crack going across my windshield on the drivers side all the way to the middle of my windshield. �They had the nerve to tell me the crack was there when I dropped the car off. �Mind you this crack was right in my line of my vision to drive. I was spending $2500 to get ac fixed, plus the repairs being done to my car were being paid for by someone else as a gift, why would I not inquire about a cracked windshield at the same time if it was already there?�They lied to my face repeatedly and kept telling me if I had full insurance that I could get the insurance to fix it for free. �They were correct about the�insurance which is how I got it fixed, but they could have owned�the fact that a crack on the windshield happened on their watch.� If it was there when I dropped off the car�I'm sure they would have mentioned it and or photographed it.� They did neither and have no integrity. � They also left all the debris that was taken out during the ac repairs on the floor of my passenger side floor.� I had thought I had found the repair shop for my 3 older Japanese cars but can't trust them as they will lie to you right to your face about something that isn't even debatable. �Use them with extreme caution.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Took my car in 3 or so months ago, everything seemed alright A/C repair, key starter issue/clutch replacement. Now the car is giving starter issues. Also last month it rained really hard one day and there was a literal puddle on the drivers side floor, this was not an issue before the repair nor has anyone else worked on the car.

Very good service, straight shooter mechanic shop (very rare in this line of service). Don t think it necessarily cheap but definitively is VERY GOOD VALUE. They do not schedule appointments ahead, so if possible arrive early so they are not busy and you get your service e going. Definitively recommend.

Japanese Car Care is a great place to take your car for repairs. Their staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their business.I went in for a P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire) code on my 15 Odyssey, and Carlos took the time to explain everything that could be causing that issue and the possible repairs that needed to be made. It ended up being a faulty spark plug that is very common on various models with ECO systems.I also requested for them to change the timing belt, water pump, and the other belts associated with the process. They were very communicative throughout the entire repair and even noticed an engine mount that was in need of replacing.I have absolutely no complaints about the pricing. It's worth the value, and knowing that they only use OEM parts on your vehicle makes it even better. You could find a cheaper place, but you are taking a chance to be the newest Temu victim.If you own a Japanese vehicle, dont take chances and go straight to JCC. You won't regret it.

I highly recommend Japanese Auto Care for all your car repairs and maintenance needs. Carlos and his dad are amazing mechanics who provide fair and reliable service. It's hard to find honest and trustworthy local mechanics, but Japanese Auto Care is the exception. I ve taken two of my cars to these guys recently. A 2015 Honda Civic and a 2014 Lexus CT200H. They are very communicative, straight shooters, and the turn around is quick. Both cars required replacement parts that typically creep up along with the miles. I love that they use OEM parts and don t cut corners. They seem reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for right? I found this business through google and the good reviews they have and my experience was amazing. My daughter is in college here in Miami and I live in NJ so I was looking for an affordable and reliable mechanic. Japanese Car Care is a family owned business for over 30 yrs. They are honest, reliable, efficient and affordable. I came in for an oil change, tired rotation and headlight bulb. They were efficient, quick and the cost was very affordable. The owner Carlos even recommended a local cafe as per my request. Hugo, a service specialist, recommended replacing the tires at the next visit as these tires have had lots of usage already. I really appreciate their honesty as some other shops would just push for more services to be done. Good place and honest assessment by the team. They do not sell addl services but recommend so there is no pressure have services that are not immediately necessary. Much better than the dealerships in the area for servicing my Acuras.

If I could give Japanese Car Care 10 stars I would. Carlos & his staff broke the mold when it comes to auto maintenance, how to treat customers and how to properly run a business. They re fast, affordable, extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, honest.I take my Toyota truck to them, which I m VERY sentimental about. I purchased the truck brand new a decade ago and will never be able to part with it. They treat my truck (and all of their customers vehicles) like a classic Ferrari. Regardless if it s a 20 year old Honda or a brand new BMW.I highly recommend this 34 year old family owned business.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

I have been bringing my cars here for over 2 decades. They do good work and the prices are reasonable. After a repair or tune up, have never had to return because something was not done correctly. They have been very respectful and considerate of my time. I will continue to bring my car to them for service.

This place is full of shysters. We were robbed and their deceptive methods are appalling. Take your car here if you've like to donate your money to thieves. (UPDATE 3/2023). A new mechanic revealed that they TOOK working parts off. Wrong seals were replaced. Even the new tech called them "sharks." I feel they should all be thrown in JAIL.(Don't know me? Check your files who you ripped off for $7000 in the last year.)

This was probably the best experience I ve ever had with an auto repair. They were extremely professional, wonderfully nice, efficient and a great price. I never post reviews but this needed one - 10/10 recommend every time . Apparently Japanese Car Care doesn t service Japanese cars lmao. I have a JDM and they refuse to even do an oil change on it. They were polite about it though hence the 3 stars but it s just nonsensical.

Easily the best auto repair shop in Miami!!!!!Knowledgable, honest, and excellent quality offered for unbeatable prices. Carlos and his team are ones that you can count truly on! I have been taking my car here for almost 10 years and have never been disappointed. Incredible family-owned shop. They always know what they are doing. Highly recommend Japanese Car Care. Don t know about their service but their prices were high. I came in a few weeks ago to get some maintenance oil change etc. I had a rattling sound in my 15 year old Avalon and asked them to check it out. They charged me $100 to look and they d apply that money to the repair if I did it. They told me it was the pulley and belt and that it would be $900. I found that expensive so decided to just do the oil change. I needed up getting a call later in the day saying that they didn t want to do the oil change because previously another mechanic had put in a new drain plug to the oil pan that wasn t original. (This happened 5 oil changes ago) They quoted me to change out the oil pan with a new plug (over $300). Also they quoted me something ridiculous to change the air filter and cabin filter, this is something that anyone can do, I bought both filters on Amazon for $17.So I didn t get anything done a JCC except the $100 check they did. I ended up taking it to another shop near 107th and Bird. The job that JCC quoted me $900 for was $600 there. Also the rattling noise wasn t what JCC s said it was, it was actually the water pump. So basically I got charged $100 for a wrong diagnosis. My opinion is that JCC is like the dealer, they ll do oil changes and swap out parts but don t wanna touch anything non oem and they rather work on newer models. I really can t say anything about their work. My experience was that their prices were high and they were scared to change my oil because of the plug. The other shop I took it to just got the job done. My recommendation is to always get other quotes, especially for expensive jobs.

I highly recommend this place! Honest, accurate, and trustworthy.I had an incredible experience when I took my Mazda to Japanese Car Care. I had an issue with my driver-side window and Carlos was able to find me the best price and get the job done quickly. But I didn't mind waiting in their office because the staff was so friendly. I will definitely take my car back!

These guys are grifters and thieves . They charged me, almost $700 , for a transmission cable, that just went out 3 months later. They also lied, about a brake and radiator leak, that was non existent. At that point I smelled a rat and cut my losses. Very dishonest, cheap work and ultra expensive. The 5 stars must be friends and family, as I guess they can't ripp off everybody (Update, no w the owners replied, and publicly lied to you all. I wish I could post the invoice. To the owner, post your email and I will send you your invoice and the other shop's. You owe me an apology and $700.
