Got the estimate and made an appointment on-line to sell my vehicle. Out of all the other places online Carmax gave me the best price.I showed up for my appointment and the receptionist assigned me an associate. She told me drop off my for inspection right outside. Withing 30 minutes they gave me the exact number the quoted me on-line. I was pleasantly surprised.After another 30minite wait for the paperwork, they cut me a check the same day.Straight forward, excellent experience.As far as buying a car and I'm looking now.I've compared CM and many quotes online from "other dealers".CM is always a little higher but when you call the other dealers to get the "real" price they always add $3,000 to $6,000 in the "dealer fees" so CM actually comes out cheaper 90% of the time.Those other dealers would add addendum fee, electronic registration fee, delivery fee, cleaning fee, god knows what fees they can make up.CM is straight forward. And from what I've read their warranty is outstanding as well.Unless you enjoy haggling(some old folks love it) and have lots of time to waste its tough not to go with CM. I am just waiting for the right car to show up.

I worked with Miguel. He was so friendly and professional. It was my first time using CarMax and the experience was so much more pleasant and smooth than I expected. All the staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again.

Fantastic experience all around. My appraisal was done very quickly. From the moment, I accepted the offer to the moment that I was leaving Carmax with my check in hand I don t believe an hour and a half passed. Great service everything done in a timely manner, and everybody was very nice and respectful.

Mario, Christian, the young lady in the business department and the maintenance team were very helpful. Mario answered any questions we had about the vehicle and after my pre-approval, he took care of the paperwork over the phone so that I could just come in and sign the documents. My father and my husband were able to test drive the car the day before because I couldn't make it due to illness, so I was able to videochat and ask questions then too. This is my third car that I have bought from CarMax and that is why I keep coming back. The convenience is that I can research the vehicle history, accidents, mileage and features on the CarMax website, so by the time I get there, I pretty much just sign and drive. The vehicles are good quality and thoroughly inspected. The extended warranty also covers any major repairs such as the engine and such, up to 150,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first, so it is definitely worth it.

My experience was great as usual. However working with my sales rep Mr. Ray/Rey made it exceptional. He was VERY knowledgeable on the process for my deal. I had to bring the vehicle from another location but he made sure it happened with grace!!

It could not have been an easier and straight forward process to sale my VW car. I received a better offer than expected for it the same day as I requested it online. Then I was asked to post all necessary documents on their website, they were approved and then made made an appointment for the following day. At the CarMax location, they reviewed the car documents, inspected the car, and I left with the offer amount check in my hands within 20 minutes. I couldn't believe it!!!

Disappointed with Carmax Over Undisclosed Hyundai Paint Issue.I purchased a Hyundai from Carmax, only to discover that it had the widely reported paint peeling problem, something that was not disclosed to me during the purchase.After noticing this issue, I approached the management at Carmax for a resolution. Unfortunately, the response I received was unsatisfactory. The manager did not accept any responsibility for the oversight and instead, shifted the blame onto Hyundai.I understand that used vehicles often come with their own set of challenges, but the lack of transparency and accountability in this situation is concerning. It's crucial for a reputed dealer like Carmax to provide accurate information about the vehicles they sell, especially when it comes to known issues like this.I am posting this review as a cautionary tale for future buyers to be more vigilant and to encourage Carmax to improve their disclosure practices. I hope my experience helps others to make more informed decisions.

Avoid buying vehicles from this dealership. Despite their online claim that the BMW they sold my husband was accident-free, a recent visit to a BMW dealership for an oil change revealed otherwise. The car had indeed been in an accident, contradicting their advertisement. This misinformation could significantly depreciate the car's value if we choose to sell or trade it. Furthermore, most of their cars are overpriced, and we've encountered numerous issues with vehicles purchased from them in the past. While I acknowledge that used cars may not be flawless, they should conduct more thorough inspections and ensure accurate information is provided on Carfax reports, rather than misleading customers with false claims.

They change the offer for the same car in almost 3K due to market variations . In a month timeframe. Please. Just be straight forward saying that you will always give a reduced amount if you don t sell them your car at the same try! Dirty marketing strategies.

My experience with Carmax Miami lakes was Disgusting and disappointing. I shipped a cadillac escalade and did all the financing online 35k on this truck!!! The store called me to pick up the car unfortunately they did not check the quality control the car was not ready the trunk did not open the windshield is cracked the paint on the rims and door handles are peeling off the car emblems are also cracked and peeling. Not to mention the car has pet stains and a ripped front seat. The vehicle was not cleaned inside .When I addressed my concerns to the sales associate he told me to bring it to the service department on Monday. The service department kept the car for a week unfortunately they repaired the trunk of the car and the front seat. The rims where spray painted and are now peeling more than before. The door handles are still missing paint and my windshield is still cracked. Not to mention they only cleaned the pet stains in the trunk carpet they didn't bother to clean the rest of the car. When I addressed my concerns the service associate told me it was a used car. I bought 4 other cars from carmax international and carmax Davie never had a problem with basic quality control. I'm only asking for the basic service that carmax quality control contracts offer. I'm definitely thinking about returning the vehicle at this point.

Cindy Croake is amazing car salesman I came in in a bad situation that my car broke down and I needed to get a new car to go to work the next day she sat down with me. We had a great conversationShe know how I felt about certain cars. She knew that I was all about owning another Mazda. She worked hard and found me the one that was not in her dealership and was able to hold it for me so I could drive an hour and a half north Florida to pick it up at another Carmax.She was always there from the beginning to the end. She called me when I got to the other car Max told me everything that we were going to do and get me into my amazing Mazda, Miata club, edition, beautiful car, great choice that she chose for me and it drives like a dream well-maintained.If anyone s reading this and you re in the Miami, Lakes or Miami and you re in the market for a vehicle please go to her and she will definitely take care of you easy to talk to quick on responding back text messages and answering phone calls

I've sold two cars to CarMax in the last 4 months and I've honestly had an excellent experience in both instances. They offered me reasonable prices for both cars and the next thing I knew I had a check in my hands and was ready to go! Thank you CarMax!! Greatly appreciate doing business with you!

My experience with your local staff is always amazing. No complaints. However, whoever is doing your appraisals needs to spend a little more time assessing these vehicles. I believe you would have more stock if this process was local. Certain details of the vehicles are overlooked and could be beneficial/detrimental when assessing. If we are assessing value/risk remotely then there is no objection and you (as a company) are just generically assessing. I believe this can lead to shortfalls in inventory and/or loss of revenue. Remove this person you are paying to make these assessments remotely (I just realized why they are remote) lol maybe have a store manager with the ability to override certain appraisals for better or worse. Overall, I am not happy with your appraisal process.

If I can give this place a negative star I would first off for lack of communication second for an unprofessional rep.named Matias who gave up my vehicle case to someone else due to the fact he did not want to deal with it. So its been so far 3 wks off and on about a censor in my car they've had it for a week waiting on the piece from the other side of the world or maybe wish app. Now they want to tell me one piece is in back order. I definitely dont recommend no one here and if its Matias attending you even worst luck you'll have with him getting your car done!!

Horrible I'm waiting like month for fix it the switch my back truck, I'm very upset, the service employee Matias Arian never call me back for fix it , I lose my time , my gas and I pay nothing free , this ridiculous

From the moment I arrived, the Carmax team was very helpful and efficient. I originally had an online offer for my vehicle. The process was super smooth and quick. Out of other competitors, they offered the most. I was able to buy a vehicle that I've been wanting with no additional money down and I was able to save on taxes. Overall, a great experience. Would definitely recommend Emilio Perez if you are into buying a car. He's been there since 2011 and is very knowledgeable about the car buying process. Every question was answered and I left a happy camper.

Bought a car from Carmax-Miami Lakes location for the first time. Service was fast, from appraising my old car, test driving the new car and getting all the paperwork done. The salesman H. Feria was nice and accommodating. However what he NEGLECTED to mention was the $1599 he charged me for the Carmax optional extended warranty. When I got home and checked all my paperwork I noticed this extra charge. I contacted Feria that same night when I got home and he told me to go to my nearest Carmax and in the business office they will refund me. So that's what I did that same week. I went to Carmax-Doral, spent over an hour there and got the refund. However I was told I have to wait approx a month for the refund to be processed and that they couldn't update the "retail installment contract" for me. I ended up driving to Carmax-Miami Lakes that same day to see if I could get a revised contract removing this warranty but made the drive for nothing! ... For all those new buyers, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read over your contract before leaving the dealer no matter how late it is. Know that once you leave, it will be IMPOSSIBLE to make any changes to the contract, double-triple check everything ! ... WATCH-OUT FOR HIDDEN COSTS!Update on this review @ 11/10/23. I bought my car from this dealer on 9/17/23, have had since then 2 temporary tags+registrations because I am still to this day waiting for the the actual registration linked to my permanent license plate. Today I spoke with Jason-supervisor at CarMax and he said we are still waiting for the title from the car. This is unacceptable , almost 2 months since I bought the car and now I was informed that if by next week they don't receive the title they will need to provide me a loaner car because they can't issue a third temporary tag+registration. I am beyond frustrated with this ordeal , it has been a headache from the very start and honestly do not suggest anyone purchasing any vehicle from CarMax.

If there was a negative 100. That what you get. I came in to get an appraisal to sell my vehicle and was received by Ramon, the his manager Joee did that the same thing. Refused to appraise the vehicle after I had an appointment set for it. Wasted my time. Never doing business here.

Took my 2016 Gmc with 32600 mikes to get an Offer to sell .i was told 40 minutes and sat in the waiting room. My offer came in at 30 minutes and came in at 19000. The associate ,Basically told me , how much I was expecting and I said blue book has the vehicle at 23000 to 25000. No interaction , whatsoever. Take it or leave it attitude. I have being doing business with CarMax at that location and sold and bought vehicles there. I will never returnI left the store and went to auto buy and met Erick and what a difference . Offer 20,500.Please do your homework, before you let your vehicle go.
