Back in January Josh was kind enough to tackle my time machine car. I have a 1973 Renault R17 and it needed some cooling system help. Josh came highly recommended here on Google and on Facebook. Josh was kind enough to tackle this old ride, knowing that parts and information were pretty much non existent .The short version of the story is that Josh, completely solved my problem, the car runs cool again and he was super fair on is repair costs and his attention to detail is easy to see in the passion for his craft.I highly recommend Independent German Auto and Josh, you are in very very good hands.Thank you Josh. I look forward to getting your help on my cars as they come up for their next service.

I was incredibly lucky to have found this shop, I was traveling out of the country and came back to find my car had leaked all of the oil out. Being out of town I didn t know the shops or the area. They were not only able to squeeze my car in to diagnose it but were able to replace the oil pan and have me back on the road by the end of day! I felt my car was in very good hands. Josh is one in a million. I finally have a BMW repair shop to service my 335i. I wish I had found his shop 5 years earlier. Very knowledgeable and explains what he is going to do in simple to understand language. Josh at Independent German Auto is more knowledgeable about my VW TDI than any VW dealer service dept on the east coast. I drive thousands of miles up and down the east coast from ME to FL annually. Josh has kept my vehicle in top shape and efficiency for years. Josh is fair and has good pricing. He is very busy but has always been there for me. Josh is very knowledgeable about all things German automotive. He is an excellent communicator. He is honest, and an excellent value. I have been taking my mini Cooper to him since I ve been in central Florida. So fortunate to have found him. I've taken my VW TDI to Josh for a few years now. I'm one of those detailed people with their cars. I don't trust mechanics easily, but Josh has shown me top-notch professional work and a wealth of knowledge coming from his experience.I could live next to a VW dealership and I would still take it Josh.

Josh does excellent work. He is thorough and very knowledgeable. I took my Audi to him for suspension work and he discovered a possible warranty issue with a leaking water pump. He recommended I take to dealer for inspection and sure enough there was a bad water pump covered under warranty. He is fair and did a fast job. Highly recommend.

Josh is very skilled at what he does and helped me trouble shoot many problems on my Audi a4. He is honest about a repair that alone is hard to find now days with a mechanic and reasonably priced. He does quality work and highly recommend him .

I highly recommend Independant German Auto for your automotive needs. Josh was great to deal with and is very knowledgable. Recently I went to several tire dealers to inquire if they could mount and balance my tires on my 1961 VW beetle. I found that most all tire dealers could no longer balance the wide five rims, however Josh has an adaptor making it possible to do the spin balancing.Josh did a great job and his pricing was reasonable. I highly recommend his service.

Josh is truly the expert you want when you are having issues with your vehicle. He extremely knowledgeable and can usually diagnose issues quickly and accurately while other mechanics are guessing based purely on any CEL codes you have. Additionally, his prices are reasonable and fair, and he won't try to rip you off for service you don't need. He will only suggest future service you may need down the road based on what he sees & milage on your vehicle. It's rare to find an honest mechanic these days, but Josh is definitely in that category.

Recently moved to MI and was delighted to find Josh...he has now worked on my car 3 times in the 3 months i have been here, fixing things that have needed to be done for a couple of years but i neglected because i wasn't going to pay key west prices...he is impressively knowledgeable about all things porsche, does great work at very fair prices, and is a super nice guy as well...my cayenne is 13 years old, and i am hoping Josh can keep it going for another 13 years! thanks Josh!

I had a couple of cooling fans on my Jetta replaced by Josh at Independent German Auto. He's very meticulous and recommended only what was necessary. He also saved me money compared to what the dealer was trying to charge me. I'll be using him instead of the dealer from here on out.

Josh has helped me complete numerous projects on my 2003 truck. His honesty, combined with his expertise and work ethic, has helped me with the preventative maintenance and upkeep of my vehicle.A true professional at what he does, I wouldnt go anywhere else and refer all my friends and family to him.

Josh is super knowledgeable. I had a weird quirky issue when having new brakes installed and he was the only one that properly figured out what the problem was and corrected it. I highly recommend him.

I had Josh change my breaks and oil on my 08' Audi A4. He gave me a better price then the dealer but more importantly Josh is extremely knowledgeable and did a great job.

I was very pleased with the professional service I experienced today with Josh. He took the time to explain my vehicle's idiosyncrasies. He is very thorough and gave me a good feeling that he is concerned about my safety as well as the automobile's performance. I feel that I can put my '09 VW Beetle on the road and go anywhere I desire. Thanks Josh.

I was just about getting ready to leave on a long road trip with my VW Eurovan when the check engine light came on. Even though Josh was busy, he made time for me. I brought my car so he could run a diagnostic test. Turns out nothing major was wrong. Having lost my gas cap I had replaced it with a cheap one. Josh said we should always have the factory brand to have a proper seal. He was kind and explained everything in details.I very much appreciate that he took the time to sqeeze me in. I will be going back to his garage for sure.Thank you Josh for coing me peace of mind before my trip.

I've been a Ford F-150 owner since 1997 and have a great mechanic for my truck. Wanted a great solid " "groundpounder" for my Orlando commute from Melbourne. The 2014 Jetta Sportwagon TDI seemed to cover all bases. The biggest area of insecurity to me was continued maintenance and I felt dread when thinking of the dealerships. Thank goodness I read of a local customer praises for Josh on the Internet and I messaged her for a little more feedback as my car wasnt cooling too well. When I called I immediately noticed he was patient.. took time to explain different possibilities that could be causing the problem. My car was getting close to the oil change so I thought Id turn it over to him. Happily the car had a small freon leak only. I felt that Josh was honest as he could have said it was ANYTHING & I wouldnt have been none the wiser. Im holding back on 5 stars for the moment until i need more involved repair but I am happy to know he is there for future maintenance & I can stay away from those dealerships!

Brought my IS20 swapped Alltrack for an overboosting issue. Helped me confirm/dispel what I thought the issues were for components I could not get to on my own. Josh is a stand up guy with a knack for research, learning, and teaching his customers every step of the way to lessen the trauma of a downed car. Cannot get that kind of service at VW in Melbourne. Thank you Josh, will be back for fun stuff

All I can say is, Wow! Josh has brought my 05 VW Phaeton (175,000 miles) back to life! Very honest, hardworking mechanic, saved me thousands of dollars! Replaced timing belt, water pump, all pullies/tensioners. Then at my request, installed new timing chains, valve actuators, valve covers, oil seals, all filters, transmission pan gasket/filter/fluid change. I have put over 1200 miles on it since, w/ a trip to New Orleans! Looked down a couple of times and the speedo was at 110mph, felt like 70mph! Thank you, Josh.
