Mr. Richmond does what he says and always communicates every step of the way. His team is highly talented and this is someone I can trust. Also, he did a transmission rebuild on my 1994 Ford ranger about 8 years ago and the truck is still driving today as a work vehicle. I brought my Dodge in for some issues with the engine recently and he figured it out and got me back on the road. Thank you my friend!

Amazing and trustful shop. Quoted me at less than half the price of other shops in the area and did amazing work. Communicated with me while my car was in the shop and explained everything involved with fixing it. Frank and his team are experienced, take your car here if you re having any issues!

Frank and Vic were incredibly well informed about the issue with my Jeep as soon I explained the problem. I had been to other mechanics in town twice that just shrugged and said they didn t know what the issue was. Frank immediately hooked up the diagnostics to confirm the issues, then Vic took it for a test ride to confirm the symptoms and got to work. The part and work was done right then and there and I was back on the road care free within an hour and a half. Can t recommend this place enough. Quality service and friendly team.

Outstanding service. My Ram 2500 needed front axle seals replaced and no one else in town I spoke with could handle the project, he not only could fix the problem but he and his crew fixed it right the first time. Frank is honest and explained the details of the problem and their solution and gave me a rundown on the time and part costs. This is a great local business, will use them again.

Just dropped off my 2012 ford f150 yesterday to get the transmission worked on. Already got it back today, and it s running great. They were accurate and honest with the quote. Great customer service!they had no problems answering any questions I had!

Took my girl friend jeep to Richmond after a mobile mechanic couldn't repair her rear end. Frank took a look at the BOTCH JOB the mobile mechanic did (told me never use that guy again). Frank repair her jeep, kept me in the loop of the cost, damages and missing parts cause by the mobile mechanic. She is happy with how her jeep drive now and I will recommend Richmond Transmission auto service. Thank you Frank and to all of your mechanic that work on her jeep. NOTE: I didn't name the mobile mechanic in this post, but always look at review when dealing with mobile mechanic, The guy my girl friend found online has some of the worst reviews I've ever seen.

About a month or so back i had taken a rear end (mercedes) to Richmond transmission the swap some gears.I was amazed that Frank knew every thing i was talking about, you see a Chrysler Crossfire is 99% Mercedes and almost all the Chrysler dealers do not know how to work on them,, yet Frank didbetween the price and the workmanship i could not be any happier. thank you for a great job and your knowledge. jimThis week Jan. 2024 I took in to Richmond Transmission my son's Ford F-250 truck for the bushings under the cab and the bed had collapsed , Frank drove the truck 1/2 block and diagnosed the bushings were shot, in less than 24 hours he called me to say the truck is ready that people is service and went over every thing they did with what they charged me i am a happy camper lthis is the second time i went to Richmond Transmission for repairs needed and again i found Frank and his shop is top notch. I would say they are the best shop in Melbourne Fl. both service and workmanship thank you Frank and staff jim

Frank is my hero. I was referred to him by my warranty company. I explained my nightmare experience with a previous mechanic . Frank decided he s going to help me make it right. got a brand new engine thanks to his efforts. By the time he met me, got the approval, received the engine and installed it; I was back in my car in days. Not to mention his exceptional communication style. 5 stars is not enough

68 Cadillac FIXED! . The rear wheel bearings needed replacing and nobody would touch them, too old or cant get parts. Richmond got the bearings, cleaned up the axles, and replaced them. Now the car rolls quiet like a caddy should.Good price too!. Only about 10% higher than my absolute lowest price guess and about 20% less than I expected to pay. Dont tell Frank.

Owner Frank was pleasant but had vehicle towed there for service and was told their online financing options are no longer utilized. I had to tow to another shop for service.They did repairs for almost half !!They do run up their estimates!!!Beware

Choosing someone to work on your truck is always so difficult. I was recommended Richmond s by another auto mechanic who didn t have anytime to do what I needed and was an emergency. Not only did these guys accommodate me as soon as possible and fixed the problem, they went above and beyond. I was sold the truck with a faulty drivers seatbelt and had been quoted $800 to replace it. While they were fixing my shifter they fixed that without me even asking! Seriously awesome and will be bringing my truck and wife s car here for any issues from now on!

Needs more stars. Richmond went to bat for me when Carvana's warranty provider, SilverRock, tried to do the bare minimum for a transmission that badly needed a rebuild. They gathered evidence, worked directly with SilverRock and would not take "no" for an answer. They were my biggest advocate and repeatedly reminded me that, although SilverRock was paying the bill, I was their customer. Their customer service is amazing and now my vehicle is trucking down the road with no issues. If you have a transmission issue, these are your go to people.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. I was having major issues with my transmission, but Frank was very knowledgeable and he was able to help me out a ton with the free diagnostics offered here. I would highly recommend!!

I have never been so disappointed in a business in my life. It took these people 5 months to fix my vehicle. Frank refused to give me my paid for parts to take somewhere else and they got extremely rude to me for being upset at how long it took to fix my car. I dropped my vehicle off to them at least 15 times, usually overnight in the 5 months and it took me calling my warranty company and reporting them to get it fixed. I know there are alot of health issues with Frank, but 5 months for any reason is not acceptable. And I probably would not be putting this on here, changing my review if both him and his wife had not been so damn rude to me. Also just FYI there accreditation with the Better Business Bureau was revoked in June for complaints. STAY AWAY!!! If I could, I would leave a - 100 point review.

If you are looking for a trustworthy place to take your car, Frank is your guy. I needed a new transmission the day I arrived in Melbourne and after speaking with people all over town, I knew Frank was the guy.After a year, he continues to go above and beyond. Especially for his loyal customers. Whether you ve lived here for years and need a better mechanic, or are new to town and need someone to trust, I am confident in recommending Frank and the team at Richmond.

Great over view of my daughters Saturn Vue 2008. Had some timing issues wasn t found on the vehicle returned it to us and did not charge a fee. Very grateful most technical diagnostic requirements do charge so that was a relief. Thanks Frank for the honesty in your work

Honest, good people. Frank took my truck for a test drive and clearly explained 3 possible reasons why my truck was not shifting well. First and foremost he said make sure I have enough transmission fluid. Sure enough, I got home and my fluid level was low. I misread my dipstick like a real dipstick. I added some oil and my truck shifts perfectly now! I'll definitely go back to Richmond for any repairs I'll need in the future.

This is my 2nd edit from my original post. I got a new transmission put in my car here and when I picked up the car it wasn't completely finished. The airbox was not bolted down, the steering column bolt was loose, the boot around the steering column was not on, and a vacuum line was missing. Also the plastics under the car were all zip-tied on, because the fasteners were thrown away. Frank and I spoke and he sent out a tow truck to come get my car and thoroughly go through it over again. I was told the tech who worked on my car was fired.While Frank has the car, he pulls the motor and transmission again to recheck what the previous tech did. We make a list of all parts that need to be replaced that were missing, and they fix what they can. After I leave the shop for the second time, the car starts making a popping metallic noise while driving. This continues and gets worse as i drive for the next 3 months. Later I discover that one of the 8 bolts for the subframe (that hold up the motor and transmission) is missing, and the one next to it is loose. I had been driving around with a major bolt missing from my frame!The past month and a half I have been calling about my parts, so that my car can be put back together fully again. Frank says they have them, but cannot find them. I feel like I am no longer a priority because I already paid. I am sure this shop was once very reputable because I see mostly 5 star reviews, but I have not had a good experience. Frank is always kind, and reassuring, and appears to have done everything he can do make this right. Months later though, and 10000+ miles of driving, and I still am driving a car around with several pieces missing.I cannot recommend this shop to anyone.

took my 2005 ssr for my transmission serviced all good Frank test drove it and found my wheel bearings were shot he replaced them. all went well i will use this shop again..

Awesome!! Awesome!! Awesome!! Would not take my car to anyone else for transmissions work, if honest professional work is what your looking for then you should look no further. Frank is a gem in the auto repair market, something that is hard to find these days. Took my 2012 Mazda 3i to Frank after a 'puzzling' recommendation from a local dealer. It was truly enlightening as to what Frank found - seems my car (bought used) had in a previous life sustained some oil pan and transmissions damage (bottom-out) that was covered up, and an extremely unprofessional repair. Nothing I can do now due to time, but it's now causing me to seriously start look for a replacement vehicle. Car came from TX as a rental and retitled in Florida at auction in 2014.Service: Transmission

After researching countless articles in order to solve my 2008 Tacoma's shudder when shifting in its automatic transmission, I found Frank.Frank runs Richmond Transmissions and is on the web. Call him now. I had gotten to the point of being told all Tacoma transmissions shudder and just live with it to yea, I heard the shudder. It will be 3500 to 6000 to replace the transmission.Long story short I talked to Frank 5 minutes on the phone and he literally told me it wasn't the transmission. Funny part I argued with him a little but he's real knowledgeable. I asked when I could bring my truck in, and he told me "He was at my disposal". He said it twice! I was there at 9:00 am the next morning.While I waited he did the evaluation....it was NOT the transmission, but my Tacoma two piece driveshaft was toast at a 140,000 miles. Not $6000, not $3500 .... but $1600 for all new driveshaft replacement which could have wrecked my automatic transmission if not repaired.Frank and his crew are talented, will explain everything, and take care of you. PS. After Frank did his test drive, he took me on my own test drive so he could demonstrate the issues in person. My truck was finished in a day and a half. At first I thought they were messing with me but they were having a problem getting the part for my van. But turns out it was the part dealer that was slacking so I went and got the part myself and Frank installed it and instead of costing thousands of dollars at the BONIFACE HIRES KIA Frank just fixed the Harness and installed the new module and got me up and running for a total of $600 dollars parts and all TOTAL FRANK HOOKED ME UP and I can't thank him enough for what he did. And to think I first gave Frank a BAD REVIEW I POSTED TOO FAST I will still say CAR SHIELD IS THE WORST FOR NOT COVERING THE JOB EXTENDED WARRANTY MY BUTT THEY SUCK .
