It's such an amazing place to stay! I almost don't want to review and let too many people find out. So many wonderful memories here. They are working hard to get it all back after the hurricane and it's clear how much they love this place. Heaven on earth.

Not a resort. Parking lot with hookups, a really small one too. Didn t warn us about construction until we arrived and were trying to find an adequate spot for our motorhome because the one right at the entrance as they assigned us too would have completely blocked their work trucks or other rvs. Was told to park our trailer in front of the trash. Dangerous wiring still in water.Owner never wanted to show up until we wanted to leave, hence by phone we apologized but was not for us. Owner said no refund but suddenly seemed to have a change of heart he never refunded us. 650$US for an hour, initially for 4 or 5 days, Very expensive for what its worth compared to what you can get in other areas of Florida.Beware. As someone else said, don t pay in advance.

A mini paradise. Tucked in a tiny island town . Bring your boat , fishing poles, bicycles with your RV . Relax , turn the phone off and forget about life for a while. Island begins when you cross the bridge. Amenities include , facilities small indoor gathering including games, a TV and projector for theater style entertainment. Small community kitchen and BBQ grill . Along with a fireplace and plenty of outdoor seating. The private pier has got mooring area as well as covered seating and plenty of fishing rod holders . Fish cleaning station and bait wells! Small bar area for entertainment and the nicest people working here you've ever met. This is a wonderful place to stay a couple of days or a couple weeks . We love it here.

Quaint, Quiet and Lots of Fun! Fish on the long dock, Boat, Walk or Shop. Houses and shops on the main road are all bright colors like Key West and just as cute! We traveled with our friends and their RV and it was a great escape. They have bikes, corn hole and other goodies to help you relax plus a small clubhouse with a big TV. We are definitely coming back for another great long weekend stay. Van, the owner & staff are terrific!

Do not pay in advance. I he double books you will have to change your reservation or lose your money. He is protected because he says no refund even if he cancels your reservation

These folks were contacted in March 2022. They were telling me wait 2 weeks for the time they opened up in Jan 23 ... This went on for MONTHS ( July 22 ) one message after the other we will open for reservation in 2 weeks, next Tuesday, and on and on. We were hoping to stay there so we waited and waited, meanwhile every other campground is full. Be aware of these shady tactics and rather look elsewhere in time.

Our stay at the Sugar Sand Beach RV Resort was absolutely awesome! The host and his wife were completely accommodating and very nice people. The campsites were spaced just right and the amenities were excellent, including the wifi! But most of all, the view and the sound of the water was just breathtaking every time and not to mention the sunset at the bridge. I will be back soon, loved this place!

Really neat location and you can fish right off the docks here. Plenty of entertainment within walking distance or a short drive away. Clubhouse available with TV, board games, lending library, and bathroom. RV spaces are really close next to each other and noise travels. The resort allows dogs as well.

What a BEAUTIFUL little spot! I wish I knew about it when I needed to camp. All I needed was to dump the tanks on our van/camper. These folks were SUPER nice and didn't charge me a dime. The KOA campground down the road in St. James City wanted $25 just to dump the tanks. The camp host was really nice too and refused cash for letting me dump the tanks.I live on Pine Island and didn't even know of this spot in Matlacha. I've boated past it and still didn't know. I might go stay there and our house isn't more than 7 miles away.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This location is in no way an RV Resort" as the title implies. Fanciful marketing. I drove thru it before my reservation date to make sure I knew how to find it. It is a 10 space plot of gravel parking lot that is improved with full RV hook-ups. The park is located on a waterfront parcel, although only two of the sites actually have a view of the water. The road "Porpoise Point" isn't marked and I never found a sign for the park. The RV spaces are small and tight with very limited maneuvering room. I knew this wasn t our kind of camping and called 4 weeks before our reserved date to cancel the reservation. I was informed they do not refund deposit ($150), you can only have a credit for a future stay. I have never had a campground keep my deposit. There won t be a future stay!!

4.5 / 5Great place, Great location, and great people in a relaxed fun environment. The owners and park host are extremely friendly ,accommodating and approachable , which appeared to rub off on the guest and set the mood of the park . We will definitely be back. Extremely pet friendly .Full access , great Att service, heard the wifi is good as well but didn't use it.Tip: Bring cash to pay for the site , but there is an ATM across the street. Pets are allowed and encouraged to be of their leach as long as they are not aggressive.Would have been 5/5 but they did not have showering facility. However they are in the process of building it and not much of an issue for most TT,5th wheel, or RV.

This lovely rv resort is a delightful work in progress . We loved our stay. Kayleen and Scott we helpful and responsive . The internet never worked and the tv was in the Sugar Shack that is under renovation. But who cares! We had a beautiful spot with a water view. And we left a check in the desk drawer. We would go back in a heart beat! Thanks for a great time!

I cannot give 5 stars because we were just visiting friends there for a couple of hours. But for what we saw it seemed like a very nice place and the host was very nice. As far as I could see it did not have a pool which I can take or leave until August. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. All in all if I had a camper I would try this place out.

We love this campground so much! The best one around by far. The beach has great sand for kids to play, a great place to relax for adults, and a clubhouse to invite friends to. Also, free laundry!

This is a small, quirky campground. Nothing fancy. But we love it. The people running the place are great.
