I live in the area and when I have visitors Anglers Inn is where they love to stay! My mom stayed for 3 nights and loved her room and view! The room is like a studio apartment with everything you need to enjoy your stay!We loved to sit outside on the water and watch the pelicans in the trees, and fish swimming by! The room was clean and very comfortable! And hospitality is of Southern Charm!

I went and did some work the owner asked me to do however she did not pay me what was agreed on. We discussed a price when the work was half done as an obstacle came into play with her equiptment. Then after completing the job. She pays the price for it being half way done. Shady business. The owner of this motel thinks she can treat anyone however she wants. Not the case. Dont ever work for this motel. Will be speaking with my lawyer.

This is a perfect getaway! You can fish, right from your backyard. The whole town was devastated from the hurricane last year, and the whole town has obviously been working very hard to get things up and running again. We had an amazing time there! There are a few restaurants/bars, within walking distance. There is a bait shop right across the street. There is a Publix, just down the road. You can get your groceries, park your car, and never have to getback in it until you leave. We will definitely be back.

An amazing location with a beautiful view of SW Florida waterways and wildlife. The room was so comfortable and quiet, beautifully adorned and well maintained. The owner, Jan, is an amazing host and is so accommodating and welcoming. You feel like family. Anything you need, she is more than willing to help with. In addition, she knows the best hot spots, where to shop and eat and where the fun is. This was our first, and definitely not last, time we stayed here. We can't wait to go back to this beautiful island oasis.

Really enjoyed the place, fishing right off the dock right outside the screened in patio. Kayaking launch onsite! The owner Pam let us use hers at no extra cost. Gas grill was great to have access to! Room was quaint and very clean. The location was perfect everything in walking distance. Very enjoyable experience! We will stay there again on our next visit.

Wonderful stay; wished we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. The owners were so nice. Love the old Florida feel. We went out twice in the kayaks that they have for the guest to use. There isn't a beach close by but we enjoyed the peacefulness of the dock and we kayaked to an island where we saw lots of birds; even an osprey catching a mullet. Speaking of mullet, there is a good seafood restaurant, Blue Dog Grill, that is walking distance away.

We loved it here. Very unlike a hotel and more like a home away from home. Clean room and nice covered porch area. I loved that my dogs were welcomed here as well. It means so much when someone understands our pets are family. The owners were friendly and hospitable. Only downside to our stay was that we couldn't stay longer and go sailing! But no worries, we will be back! Thanks for the great stay!

By far one of the best places on the island to stay! The rooms are Quiet and clean. If you re planning a trip this is the place to stay, Right on a canal water right off the back door, screened in porch. The owner is one of the nicest people and she had saved us from a very bad experience at the Matlacha tiny village. We will definitely be staying here again and again.

Great first impression because shortly after booking in Hotels.com.com I received an email from the owners saying they were looking forward to our stay and meeting us.Checkin is at 2 pm, I received a text from Janette and Karl letting us know that our room was ready when we were and where to get our key. As soon as we got to the inn, we were greeted by Jamette and Iffy, her little puppy. My grand daughter was icer the moon getting to hold her. BTW, this is a pet friendly place. There are bikes a d kayaks to use during your stay. They are all in great shake. We were only staying for the night so we didnt get to utilize everything. I saw they rent boats and hane sunset cruises available. This little town is a gem and so much to do if you enjoy live music, great seafood a d eclectic art galleries. Lots of gift shops around too. Bring a fishing pole, you can either fish off the dock or go to the bridge down the street. The owner is absolutely pleasant and shows you around. She is readily available for you.I will be completely honest about this property. These are not handicap friendly , or if you are heavy. The sink and entrance to the shower takes some maneuvering to get between. . The room is very small. It's like a studio. I'd say ok for two adults and two children. The twin sleeper in the room would be wonderful if maybe it had a new mattress or a memory foam topper. I let my daughter and gran daughter sleep on the queen bed, while I took the twin sleeper. It might have suited a small child. I felt the springs in my back all night a d couldnt find any comfortable position There was one small thin pillow in the drawer, in dire need of filling. This is a really cute mom and pop Florida style motelunit, just needs some fine tuning of comfort upgrades in the bedding. There is a nice screen patio to have your coffee in the morning and lounge chairs by the dock. The Wifi is excellent a d there is a nice binder with reccomended things to do and restaurants. This Inn is in a residential neighborhood which makes it ideal. Nice and quite. I've already told a few friends about this gem.I thought at first who would move from the Keys to this town. I now know why. It's a great place to live and visit.

Lovely place! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Matlacha! This Inn was a quiet, relaxing getaway! The room was perfect. We were within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and galleries. Next visit I will definitely bring fishing poles!

This place is great. I've got a super clean, homey room, a screened lanai overlooking the canal and free bikes and kayaks at my disposal. There's even a waterside grill that's just begging me to put some fresh grouper on it. I'm enjoying my second stay here and it won't be my last.

We have spent seven days at Anglers in and still have a few days left to go, the only problem so far is that we only have a few days to go. We flew in and didn't have a car but found everything we needed within walking distance. This place is full of charm and lacks nothing. If the large, impersonal hotel chains are what your looking for then this isn't for you but if you want to be in a completely relaxed environment this is definitely your place. Karl and Janette will go out of their way to make sure that you have whatever you need and even have kayaks and bicycles for guests to use free of charge. The rooms have anything you need including a kitchenette, very comfortable and well equipped , the view is fantastic overlooking a canal with tons of wildlife and the owners are very gracious. We will definitely be back!!

Spent New Year's Day 2016. Had a wonderful, peaceful time with my family. Owners, Janette and Karl, were friendly and entertaining as it was our first time in Matlacha, FL. They oriented us to local restaurants, galleries, happenings, and hosted a party at Angler's Inn Motel. We had the opportunity to socialize with locals (including owners) and get awesome boating directions to land marks, bars and Cayo Costa State Park. While boating near by, we observed many dolphins, manatee, various birds. The best perk was being able to park our boat behind our room. The motel is located near a bay, along a canal, with the best access ever. Owners went above and beyond to make our first stay memorable enough to want to return soon.Hidden Treasure!!!!

I had never been to Matlacha, Florida before this trip, my girlfriend and I found Angler's Inn on the internet. We found Matlacha to be a boaters paradise with many different canals and open water access. We stayed at Angler's Inn and we found the owners Jeanette and Karl to be the most friendly and helpful in orientating us to all the shops, restaurants and businesses in the area. We also found them to be a wealth of knowledge in the surrounding islands and tributaries. The motel or should I say Botel was very quaint, clean and inviting. We truly can't wait for our return trip. We found out while staying that they are very pet friendly which will make our return trip even more grand.

Went on a sunset boat tour around Matlacha with Karl. Very relaxing and laid back. Karl took pictures for us when the sunset offered the perfect photo opportunity. Very knowledgeable and taught us alot about the history of Matlacha and knew exactly where to take us to see all the wildlife we wanted to see and answered any and all questions we had. Thank you for the great time!

Clean breath of fresh air. Come by boat or drive, Anglers Inn is a great place near Art Gallery's and great pubs in or close to the water. With FREE access to kayacks and bikes piddle around sucking up some of GOOD 'Ole FLORIDA. Cabins extremely clean and facilities well maintained. Owners are great people and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. I'm an HVAC tech by trade and the air quality in this place was extremely pleasant!! I will be back soon!!

Love this place. It was our third visit and once again the owners were very accommodating. Nothing like stepping out of your suite and catching fish right there. Matlacha is a quaint and artsy fishing village that we love to run away to.

Cozy, clean rooms, screened back patio, and park your boat right outside your door on the canal ready to go. Also pet friendly. Loved our stay.
