Bob did a great job helping meet out on short notice. I had just bought a boat and he solved the overheating issue by installing 4 new thermostats. The ran much cooler after that.He is very knowledgeable and provides prompt quality service!

After going through hurricane Ian, the worst storm in decades, with more things to worry about than anyone can imagine, I called A-1 Marine and spoke to Tom about my insignificant battery and electronics issue. He took 10 minutes out of their schedule to diagnose and test and got me headed in the right direction for repair. Tom has amazing customer service and as a new resident on the island - I know I have found my permanent shop!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery inspection/service

The team at A-1 Marine are very busy when you call or visit, BUT they make an obvious effort to give the customer their utmost attention when they are handling your boat. I had a power pole and battery charger installed, and the equipment install location and quality of installation was very good. It was like.. yeah that s where I would have installed it myself . Hydraulic lines and power lines were routed nicely and integrated into the existing wire looms inside my boat.Jessica handles so much at the front desk and still keeps it organized, and Kelly (one of several techs) was professional, courteous and patient with my million questions about how they were going to do the work. Thanks A-1 Marine I will be back for my next 100 hr service.Services: Accessory & electronic installations, Battery inspection/service, Oil change

After moving to Florida from NC I found out that during travel something went wrong with my engine and just could not get it to act right. Being new and away from my usual boat service I ventured out to two other mechanics that could not figure it out and I felt as if I was throwing money out. A guy I work with recommended this mechanic and so I called them and got set up but it was three weeks out so was kind of a bummer but let me tell you, it s worth the wait. Dropped off on Monday morning and they were slammed and so I just asked to get to it when they could. Called me the next day with the issue and needed repairs and they had it knocked out and tuned up in no time! Absolute best service in SW Florida. Will definitely be my go to from here on out with every boat I own. If I could rate higher I d rate way off the scale!Services: Tune-ups, General repairs & maintenance, Water pump service, Engine repair, Oil change

I cant believe its taken me 20 years to write a review of A-1 Marine. Simply put, they are the best. Tom and Bob are fair and stand behind their work. I have used them many times over the past 20 years to keep my old Yamaha running.It finally came time to re-power the boat with a new Evinrude G2. The work is immaculate! They re-rigged everything at a fair price. They know I want things on my boat just so. The mechanic, Brian, communicated with me frequently to make sure we were both on the same page as the project progressed.When it came time to pick the boat up, Kelly, another long time mechanic with A-1, was ready to take me on a sea trial to make sure everything was to my expectations as well as explain all the systems of my new G2.Obviously, I think these guys are the best. If you want real boaters working on your boat who really care about customer satisfaction, look no further.

Amazing service! Took my boat there for electrical issues dropped it off in the morning picked it up that afternoon. I used to use the boat house in Cape Coral, ( with many horror stories I might add!) never again will I use the Boat House! I first took my 18' flats skiff to A-1 Marine Service a little over a year ago for my 60 hp ETEC's 300 hour service after having a bad experience with my local Evinrude dealer/service center. I was extremely impressed so when I developed an electrical issue it was a no brainer to take my boat back up to A-1.I have 3 batteries on my boat (2 for the trolling motor and 1 for starting) and the starting battery kept dying on me so I kept the battery switch off but lately it seemed to be dying even if I left it on for just a day or two. I figured I had a major short in the wiring or some other major issue so I was expecting a HUGE BILL and possibly a partial re-wire as my boats 9 years old. Well Bob called me yesterday to tell me they were done and what they found was that a fuse was blown between the onboard charger and the starting battery which caused the starting battery to not be charged like the other 2 trolling motor batteries while plugged in. Then the Power Pole remains on which it's supposed to if the battery switch is in the "ON" position and there's a little light on it which over time is enough to drain the battery especially as it's not being charged by the onboard charger. They also fixed a non functional trailer light. and the total???? Just around $200!!!!!!!!!!! I'm beyond impressed they were beyond honest and fair as they could have spent a lot more time trying to fix this as another place did claiming it was a short in my electrical system but they didn't they found the issues and fixed them and charged what I consider a more than FAIR price.I know who will be getting my business even though they are more than an hour away it's well worth the drive for me for honest, fair, and great service!!!!!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Battery inspection/service

Absolutely outstanding customer service!! A-1 Marine Service is a family owned and operated company that treats their customers professionally and courteously. I started using them for my repairs and service when I lived close to Matlacha but I continue to bring my boat to them even though I live an hour away! I have always found that their estimates are honest and reasonable. Definitely trust Tom and his team with your vessel, large or small!!

First time using A1 after it was recommended to me by a buddy. Needed my engine pulled off for a transom repair and reinstalled. They did an excellent job for an affordable price and the boat runs great! Will definitely use again. Thanks A1!

Wife and I trailered our boat down for a weekend at Cabbage Key only to learn Friday night, at the boat ramp, that a hydraulic steering hose had developed a crack/leak during the haul. (We also had a trailer tire blow-out on I-75.. think the turbulence was the cause). A1 Marine was the only place open on Saturday morning. Bob worked up a quick fix for the hose that got us on the water for the rest of the weekend. Very reasonable price too. Would definitely recommend.

Just repowered my Hurricane with a new Etec 150 from A-1. Good price. Had a minor issue which A-1 took care of in a professional, timely fashion. Bob and Tom are great. Do not hesitate to do business here.

I took my boat (with a 2005 ETEC 225HO) to A-1 by water on Thursday morning to get the tilt and trim fixed and to solve a longstanding overheating issue. I was worried that we would lose several days of precious boat time before having to return home up north. They had both issues fixed by Friday afternoon and at a reasonable cost. It now works perfectly and we will have full use of the boat for the remaining week of our annual stay in Cape Coral. Tom, Robert and the A-1 team know Evinrudes! No wonder they are a platinum dealer. I highly recommend them, especially for anyone with an ETEC engine.

Great mechanics. I've head several mechanics out to work on my bay boat with 200 HP FICHT Evinrude. None could get it to run right. A-1 did. The put in the newer approved plugs so they don't foul up. I stopped wasting money on 100% synthetic oil. Mileage is up. It was not cheap, but no one is and they did great work. They even met me on the ramp to pull my boat out since I don't have trailer. I'd agree, they are A-1.

Fantastic Boat Service locations, they have reasonable repair prices and do quality work at a good pace. I have never felt cheated or as if they did service that was unnecessary seriously do extremely well getting to the root of the problem and getting us back out on the water quickly. Highly recommended

These people are very nice and willing to share their boating wisdom with you. I was shopping for a motor option for my new pontoon boat and Tom was extremely helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with A-1 Marine.

The diagnosis and repair was spot on. I had previously brought the boat elsewhere (In Cape Coral - A Certified Mercury Dealer...) and they said it was just old motors and nothing they could do... Brian at A-1 found the issue in 15 minutes, ordered parts and made the repair & adjusted the carbs. I was on the water yesterday for hours, boat never ran so good. I will be a devoted customer from here on out...Thanks A-1

Took my family down to Matlacha Island for Easter weekend. Ended up having some electrical system issues. Although the boys were scheduled to close at noon on Saturday for the Easter weekend, Bob agreed to take a look at our problem. A couple hours later he called and said he found the problem and all was fixed and working well. Family weekend saved! Only wish our government could provide the same level of service. Many thanks Bob for your efforts and courtesy.

Bob and Tom and the entire team at A1 are great. We've had a few challenges with my old engine and they stuck with it and got it going. As long as they are in business they will be my mechanics.

Good people staff is friendly and helpful and they know there stuff. Price are ok but you are getting quality work and they stand by there work also. Highly recommend for any work you need done to your boats

I dropped my motor off because it wasn't staying running ,they took my boat out on the water it broke down on them, so after that they put a primer ball on it NEVER LOOKED AT THE MOTOR gave it back to me saying that it's running great,,,, broke down on me first try it was pretty much missing a whole carburetor, the timing was completely messed up, and because they had it on the water without looking at it they got water all in the engine....... I have recordings of the conversation ,,,,lady had a bad attitude with me as she was saying they took it out on the water and NEVER LOOKED AT THE MOTOR paid them $200 for the primer Ball by the way because of the nice tip I always leave I let them know my motor was a 1983 before I dropped it off so don't sit there and say it's old because I let you know before I even dropped it off that it didn't run and it was old and I was trying to completely fix it it just amazes me that you broke down on the boat put a primer ball on it and told me that it was safe to go out on let me know if there's something you guys could do about the water you got in the motorService: Engine repair

I can't say enough about these guy's.I was broke down on the 2nd day of my week long vacation. I called them up and they said if I could limp it in to the ramp and get it to them the next morning they would work me in and look at it. They did exactly what they said and had me going by lunch. Let me say that I know they we're already streched on time getting people's boats in and out because of the time of year it was ,but they went above and beyond for one more and they didn't have too.Can't praise them enoughThanks Cliff Braddock

Spent over a thousand dollars trying to get boat to run correctly. A1 found the problem quickly and saved my fishing season and my sanity. They did not throw parts at it like the other place. REAL mechanics here! Thank you and I'll tell everyone I know that A1 is the only one!
