Took my car to have it checked out. They spent some time looking for the leak but we're not able to find it. They put the die in and told me to bring it back. I asked how much because they spent a lot of time on it. He said no worries no charge. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes sir. He could have charged me. I was more than willing to pay but he's a good man and that's how they do it. I recommend this guy. No doubt.

Rich is a great car doctor. He knows how to diagnose issues and charges fair prices for his skill and knowledge. I had taken my car to another shop down the street when my abs brakes went out and they wanted $3800 to fix it. They even charged me $150 just to diagnose that it and give me that bogus estimate. I took it to Rich and he took his time to run through the tests and found out that it just needed a new pump/motor that I could order from Amazon for $180. He didn t even charge me for that diagnosis! I ordered the part. Installed it myself and brought it back to Rich to test it all out and flush the brakes properly. Boom! Problem solved and I saved a bunch. Thanks rich! I ve also been using his services since 2020 on all of the family members cars and he never lets us down. AC went out, just blowing hot air. I couldn't take it anymore (July-Aug. 2023) so I brought it to Rich Monday evening. He called me mid-morning on Tuesday with the bad news: bad condenser, rings, couplings, etc... and it would be $1,033.00. The parts were over a third of the repair and it takes time to do. Tuesday at 4:15 Rich called back and said it was done. What a difference!!! The drive home was cool and comfortable, I even had to turn the fan down, it was getting so cold. It's good to find an honest, smart, capable repair shop. They are full service, so these are my go-to guys.Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

The fan for my A/C on my 2005 Scion stopped blowing, and I was really dreading putting a lot of money into a car that old, but in Florida, you need A/C! I brought it to Rich and was very quickly given an estimate. The estimate was reasonable, but Rich let me know that he thought it might actually be a little less in labor. Upon picking up the car, I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find out that the labor required significantly less time, and because of Rich's honesty, he removed the excess labor fees! I will be bringing my car back, and recommending him to all my friends.Service: A/C installation & repair

A friend recommended Rich s Car Cool. We called early in the morning and they were able to work us in to their schedule for that day. The compressor was replaced by the end of the day. Rich is very honest and caring. He did a courtesy check of my ac and not only got it working, but found a couple critical problems the dealer botched replacing my engine a few days ago. I highly recommend using him. He does more than ac!

We have gone to Rich's shop multiple times. He has worked on everything from a new A/C to replacing steering column and power steering pump. Extremely honest, reliable, explains everything clearly, is affordable, and is very easy to work with. I was always skeptical of mechanics before working with him. He is our go-to guy now. Wish there were more mechanics like him!Edit: Stopped in again recently (July 2023) to recharge ac in one car and he quickly made our car ice cold! While there he told me he could look at my suspension issue on my other car. I had been quoted $3600 at another shop. Rich took pictures to show me the issue. It was a simple fix (it didn't need all the stuff the other place said) and he was able to fix it and recharge my air to ice cold for $150. He is seriously amazing. Best mechanic I have ever been to!

I had never been here before but I called Rich because I bought a used car I was unsure about. I brought it in and he really took the time to inspect it and give me the diagnostics of what was wrong with it immediately. It ended having a giant mess of issues and I was able to return the car and purchase something else. He treated me like family and I am so appreciative of the giant headache he saved me from. I will be going to him for all future repairs and maintenance because he is genuine and seems like someone I can trust completely!

Was a great experience... Did what he said no hidden cost... Was a good price as well....Only took a couple hours to get me back on the road with a working A/C.. which with my health issues is extremely important for me.... He was recommended to me n will use again... 5 stars....

Went to get an estimate knowing what s wrong with my AC. I wanted to see if this company was legitimate for the sake of my buddy who needs serious repairs done. They quoted me $2,400 and called me crazy as I walked away. Don t go here. Trust.

I first went there after a national chain wanted to charge me almost $1k to fix my a/c. Rich was able to fix it at a fraction of the cost, and I had no further issues. I've been coming to him for issues with another vehicle. He's been very reasonable and timely. I always recommend him, and will continue to return as needed. Got in contact with Rich through my roommate s recommendation. Told me he d be able to check my car a day before New Years! My A/C had gone out about two weeks prior. I had even checked if it was a coolant problem. Brought it in, and he replaced a little mechanism. It was blowing cold air immediately! I m sure he could have charged me more for his services, but he didn t. I m a very happy customer, and I definitely recommend!! Thank you!!

A/C system finally failed on a newer Toyota in the middle of the Florida Summer. Rich was quick to get me in and diagnosed the issue quickly. The quote I received from Rich was much lower then the dealer or other competition and even included a warranty on the work versus other quotes I had received. Dropped my vehicle off and within 24 hours of receiving the part Rich and his team had the AC fixed at a great price. My 73 year old moms 2009 Honda wasn t blowing air, and the dealer wanted $800. I found the reviews of Rich s Car Cool and sent her over there with specific instructions to avoid he getting scammed (I m 200 miles away). She called me and said that he figured out in just a few minutes that it was the blower and quoted her $250 (no diagnosis charge). I said absolutely and he had the part the next day to complete the service. I appreciated his honesty and solid repair. It s a little shop with what appears to be big integrity.

Rich is a very honest and friendly mechanic. I read the reviews before coming here, and the good reviews are on point. I got my AC repair done and he did not charge me the diagnostic fee. He runs his repair shop by honesty, integrity, and very fair pricing. Much less than Action Gator quoted me. I was also short on funds and he introduced me into the SNAP finance program to help get instant credit for the repair.

I came to Rich because I needed an electrical cord repaired. Rich was able to repair my vehicle within 4 hours, after I was given an ridiculous price and time frame from my actual dealer. Rich was VERY professional, any questions I asked he had answers for me. He stayed in contact with me the entire time my car was being serviced. He kept me updated with everything that was being done to my vehicle and his price was very affordable!!!! My son stopped in yesterday for an estimate for his ac and within and hour they had it working. We were originally quotes over $1000 from a different shop and Rich s Car Cool did it for a lot less! I came to this establishment with an AC issue of course. Was spoken to rudely and in a condescending tone, from beginning to end. My vehicle was diagnosed with a faulty compressor and I was quoted $1,020, for the new compressor drier and labor. 480 in labor and 540 in parts. I asked if I could purchase my own parts, and if so, what is the quote. He told me I printed you out a sheet, refer to that, use process of elimination then add it up, do what you have to do . I didn t let it get to me, but I left and searched for parts. Thought to get a second opinion. They took me vehicle, told me my AC compressor was not connected. they plugged it back in, didn t charge me anything, and my AC is blowing cold. Rich car cool had good reviews, but my experience with him was sub par.Service: A/C installation & repair

I stopped in to see if they could repair my air conditioner in my Genesis. They took the car right back and fixed it right away! The price was reasonable, they were fast and friendly and professional! Now I don t have to worry about driving around with no air in my vehicle in Florida! Taking my car to get repaired is not something I need to do often but when I do I'm very iffy about places I go to. Will they be honest? Are their prices fair? Will they try to pull a fast one on me during the repair? While driving to Tampa yesterday the Blower for my AC completely died. Not even a small draft of air, it was shot.I made an appointment at my local Pep Boys but decided as of this morning to open up my options. I've always seen this business as I live nearby but never paid much attention to it. I saw the reviews, spoke with Rich who advised a diagnostic was free, and off I went as I had nothing to lose. The shop was very well kept and Rich was attentive, professional, and quick to take care of not only myself but any other customers who entered the shop. Rich advised my Blower Motor was shot (as I suspected) and would need to be replaced for a very fair price. I agreed and he ordered the part for me which was to arrive later in the day.When I returned they were swift to get my car undergoing repair. I patiently waited until I was informed shortly after that everything was good to go. I paid and went on my way. To say I was ecstatic to have working AC again would be an understatement. Not only that but the repair also sorted out another issue I had with an annoying faint clicking sound whenever the AC was turned on. (I meant to ask him about it but forgot at the time) Clearly the blower was giving me a warning sign which I arrogantly ignored.Overall I was insanely pleased with Rich's Car Cool. If you want honest, friendly, and prompt service then this is your best bet. I see they also do other types of repairs and services so I will absolutely keep them in mind for any future maintenance needs. Thanks Rich!

It was a 90 degree day and 5 in the afternoon, when I got in my car to go home and noticed the AC was blowing warm air. So I went to an auto parts store and paid $50 for a recharge kit. It worked for exactly 24 hours.The next day I went to Rich s and he quickly recharged my AC and it s been working for weeks now. And it was $50 that I am grateful to spend. I ll definitely go there again if I ever need ACservice again.

My Niece took her truck in after her AC went out. She received an estimate for over $800. My mechanic purged and recharged the AC system for $45. Its been fine since. I took my truck in to see what would happen. This after my entire AC system was replaced approx. 4 months ago. Same scam, I received an estimate for over $600 including a new evaporator. When they pulled my truck around back, they refused to let me be present. That's fine, but then when I did go to look at my truck, the owner was acting very aggressive and insisted I take his flashlight to look under my truck. It was 5PM, it was day light, it was surreal, I was being scammed. He then all of the sudden noticed my AC exhaust drain was plugged. It was not plugged when I arrived. Remember, this was a test, I made sure everything was in 100% working order before I arrived. He then acted surprised, and pinched the exhaust tube open and claimed there was AC oil inside the exhaust water, on the ground. What a douche bag. Anyone who knows anything about an AC system knows how big of a pile of BS this is. I reported both matters to the States Attorneys office. The owner is a liar and a crook.

I was visiting my friend from out of town and my air conditioning started running warm. It's a holiday weekend and I'm here for four days so I went to Rich's. He was very busy, but it didn't stop him from taking a look at my ac. He drained it and put Freon in it and then showed me how my compressor was probably going to be going but that he had made the AC better at least temporarily. He charged me absolutely nothing! He knew I was from out of town and couldn't be a repeat customer. What a testament of his character!!

My pressure switch went bad on my tahoe. I put one on myself and took it there to have it recharged almost 200$. Ac blew cold for about 2 weeks and stopped again. I took it back to him and he claimed my switch I put in was defective and he insisted on replacing it and recharging it and he would stand behind that switch if failed again. 170$ wasted again. It blew cold for about 2 days. Brought it back to him and he know says the compressor is bad. Maybe he put too much freon in it and it blew out the seals? I have no idea but I will not be going back to him again. Like the other bad review said he tried pulling the flashlight out and showing me where the leak was. I saw where it was spraying out personally before I took it back to him. He was cocky about it when i asked what happened this time since he had been dealing with my wife up until now. He just says that he told her what was wrong with it already. Well I'm here and I'm a mechanic and I pay the bill so I want to be explained to. Then he pulls out his flashlight and goggles to explain. I definitely did not appreciate his tone he used to me for no reason and feel he stole almost 400$ from me and I only had working ac for 2 weeks after he "fixed" it. Horrible experience for me there and DO NOT reccomend rich to anyone.

Have a 2006 Honda Element that the AC was acting up over a 2 week period. Thought it was because the door panel was off while working on the power window. Once the panel was back on, it seemed to be working better. Everyone of course said just add freon. I know better than that on the newer systems, as you can really damage them. Seemed like the compressor was working as I could hear it trying to click on. Noticed the cooling fans didn't seem to be working. Was referred to Aamco in Longwood. Called & spoke to Mark who said they were too busy to be able to get to it quickly. I really appreciated his honesty. He referred me to Rich, who also was working on his car. I really appreciated his referral & when a mechanic has another mechanic work on his car, you know it's a good referral. Rich got us in as soon as he opened, confirmed the fans weren't working & got them replaced by 1:30. He never tried up selling us, checked & confirmed nothing else was wrong & never charged a diagnostic fee. Cost to repair was reasonable. I highly recommend them for any of your repair needs. Yes, given time I could have done the fan replacement myself, but because it couldn't be driven without damaging the heads from over heating, it was worth it to me to have it done so quickly.
