Best of the best. Jake and Debbie always have the willingness to answer questions and help when possible. Jake is the only person I trust working on my track Mustang. Always does great work and has an attention to detail. I couldn't recommend Lamotta Performance enough.

terrible. never go here for anything. came for a simple twin disk clutch install and the car was nearly undrivable afterward. wouldnt go into gear or come out of gear since the clutch was dragging. Car would creep forward going into gear and sometimes had to kill the motor to take it out of 1st. i bring it back and they say the clutch is defective. i send it back to california as per their suggestion to get it checked out. ($300+ dollars in shipping i was never reinbursed for) the clutch company said it was completely good. Lamotta reinstalled the same clutch and it no longer drags, so it was install error but they still charged me $400 even though it was due to their incompetence. also when i brought it back the first time, the owner, jake lamotta, gave me a blank stare the whole time along with one word answers as i was explaining what was wrong with the car. As if im the problem, Like im holding up his day and i dont know nothin. Here s the kicker, to this day, the clutch still doesnt function properly. It stinks like hell anytime a moderate load is put on it. Remember, the clutch wasn t glazed at all and i did 1000 miles of city break in. Ex. passing someone in 6th gear, punching the throttle at 4k in 4th, would stink like burning clutch. Mind you, this is a 800hp capable clutch (mcleod rst), slipping on my n/a 2015 mustang gt. Lamotta is a joke that puts clutches together with an impact. Stay as far away as you can from this place

Took a T56 Magnum to them to put back together. Got it cleaned up and back to me in 2 days. AMAZING work and super nice people there. Will be going back for my 8.8 build as well!

You would expect a specialty shop to be expensive. It's actually some of the cheapest and best labor I've ever had. If you show a Mustang, go here. Simple as that. Great customer service too.

Honest, intelligent & very experienced mechanic .. I will not let anyone else work on my Mustang ... For over 10 years Jake & his crew have taken excellent care of my personal and fleet vehicles ... Highly recommend ...

Been coming here for over 20 years. Jake & his guys have worked on a few of my cars over the years. I've learned: If Jake recommends a different course of action - it is likely best to do it, lol - much to the detriment of a few lost $ - I've learned.

They did my rear end gears on my 03 mustang and they did a really well job, they also helped me get the right parts and went they're way in tuning my car and correcting my speedometer, and they were in communication and professional the entire time, I 100% recommend them to anyone and will continue to do business with them.

I have a daily driver custom car that is also used for racing. It's a very demanding car to work on and I'm the most exacting, difficult person to please when it comes to my car. I cannot tolerate down time, and I want the job done NOW. Jake ALWAYS gets the job done to my satisfaction and within a very reasonable time and that speaks volumes for the quality of his work. Jake has solved problems with this car that nobody else was able to, and I've had some of the best people in the country try their hand at it. Jake is a real thinker, and an absolute GENIUS with this stuff. Without a doubt the best service I have ever received on my car. Owner takes personal time discussing your needs with you, makes a plan with you, gives you recommendations and is honest. I was referred here because several friends on FB classic car pages & my neighbor told me it's the only place they trust. I'm taking my 1966 mustang here in a few days because I believe they are right from the personal attention I've gotten here. Highly recommend. Feel confident it's the best place because they do quality work and perfection is their goal.

I purchased a 2017 Mustang GT 5.0 this past March. I became intrigued with the ads for the superchargers available for this vehicle and called Jake at LaMotta Performance about the cost of installing one on my new Mustang. I don t plan to race this car or go to the drag strip. I discussed this with Jake and settled on the Roush Phase 2 Supercharger that gives 727 HP at the engine. I got Jake to order the Supercharger and he called when it arrived and we set up a schedule to bring the car in.I am writing this to express my complete and total satisfaction with LaMotta Performance. First of all, he charged me $300 less for the Supercharger than the online price. He also said it would take 4 days to install and that is exactly what it took. The installation looks like it came from the factory and the performance is amazing!What I appreciated the most was Jake s integrity and honesty. I had been advised by someone to change the rear-end ratio from the existing 3.15 to 3.73 to make the car more responsive. I was ready and willing to shell out the money to have this change made but Jake advised against it as it would be more drivable staying with the existing rear-end ratio. What I am saying is Jake could have easily made more money by changing the rear-end ratio but he was honest enough to advise me not to make the change. Since getting the car back I am completely satisfied and happy that I took his advice.

Jake is probably the most reputable and experienced SVT and high performance ford technician in the area! He has been very helpful with building my mustang and takes alot of pride in his services...highly recommend

At LaMotta Performance all the work they do is quality work, they will tell you what needs to be done to fix your car at very reasonable prices. Jake is a very smart mechanic and has a lot of experience with mustangs so he answers all your questions about performance mods and is very honest with you about the mods you are thinking about doing. Overall a great experience.

Jake and team runs one of the most reputable shops around Central FL. I brought him my stock 2015 5.0 looking for the normal bolt ons and tune. Everyone at the shop is easy to work with and understanding, The car runs like a champ, they also have reasonable prices! If you want it done right go to LaMotta Performance.

I've been bringing my Mustangs to LaMotta Performance for years, and Jake has ALWAYS taken great care of me and my vehicles. I just picked up my Mustang yesterday after getting work done, and this recent visit was no different. Jake goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done perfect and beyond my expectations. He's always worked on my vehicles with great care just like they were his own. If he's not comfortable with certain parts I bring him, he will tell me and guide me in the correct path to make sure everything is completed 100% to my satisfaction. One thing I noticed yesterday when I was picking up my Mustang and it reminded me why I keep coming back to Jake, he torqued the lug nuts on my wheels the proper way, with a torque wrench instead of a impact gun! Wow! That there is a long lost art in automotive repair shops, and it shows exactly the caliber of work that is done at Lamotta Performance. I won't take my vehicles any place else. Thank you Jake!

Highly recommend this place to anyone getting work done to their mustang whether it s little or big. Dropped off my car Thursday night so they can work on it Friday I had the clutch, shifter, master cylinder etc and everything was done that day! They even diagnosed another issue I had! This team has a lot of knowledge, they re quick reliable and easy going! 10/10Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

For any Ford performance needs, i highly recommend going to see Jake at Lamotta's! He's helped me with my Mustangs in the past and now tackled some EcoBoost engine problems on my SHO. They're super knowledgeable, helpful, and affordable. 5 stars!

Jake and AJ are great to deal with. I drive from Lakeland to get both of my Mustangs worked on. They always fix it the first time with no issues. It is worth the 1 hr 1/2 drive to me. Price is always fair and I always enjoy the extra horse power on the drive home.Thank You La Motta Performance

I visited La Motta over a year ago because I had a creaking noise in the right rear quarter panel of my 2003 Mustang Mach 1. Before I went there, I chased the noise- changed my shocks and upper control arms and bushings(threw some money and my own labor at it), and the noise was still there. I asked Jake what it could be and he stopped what he was doing and put the car on a lift and started looking for the problem. He popped the trunk, took out the liner, and it was a loose piece of sheet metal. Had a good laugh, because I totally missed that minor issue. I asked Jake what I owed him for his time, he said don't worry about it. The shop was full of cars, so that was super nice of him. I returned today to have him install my Borla Stinger Catback exhaust. He quickly and meticulously installed it, measuring the tailpipes and wiping the exhaust with a cloth when he finished- in 40 minutes! I will always bring my Mustang to La Motta. Awesome shop!

I've had my 86 Mustang at the shop a few times now. Repairs are always done quickly and the work is excellent. AJ and Jake are great to deal with and they know these cars inside out. Great shop to deal with.Chris

My experience with Lamotta Performance was nothing but great. I brought my 90 lx to Jake after hearing about his shop on multiple Mustang forums. The car was running rough since the day I bought it and I thought it was beyond repair. I brought it to Jake and had it there for three weeks. He told me exactly what was needed and diagnosed the car within 2 hours. They know there stuff!! Jake was nothing but nice and honest to me and made sure that I wasn't going to be putting money into a dud. He was very patient in waiting for me to order the parts and called to let me know what was going on with the car. I picked the car up a day ago and drove it 25 miles to my house without a problem in the world. There was alot of problems with the car and they fixed every single thing that was bad on it. I could never have been happier with the work that was done to the car. They are highly recommended and I will not hesitate once when I bring my other Mustang to have work done to it. I cannot be happier and anyone who is looking for a Mustang shop that is highly experienced with all year Mustangs Jake is the guy to go to at Lamotta Performance.

If you have a performance car or a mustang... this is the place you want to take your baby! They do wonderful, quality work at great prices! Jake is the owner and I can not say enough good things about him or his shop.

Twelve years ago we had our whole 2006 GT upgraded. About $20 grand. They were so rude. Never wanted to speak with a woman, only my husband. And they were very short with him as well, and he knew everything about mustangs. We have never gone back, and every one we have ever dealt with says the same thing about him. So sad. We need great mechanics we can trust and actually want our business

An amazing place. I stopped by today completely randomly. I have used Jake many years ago when I had a Mustang and knew the quality of work he does and is known for. I have been having a boost problem in my recently installed Procharger set up and could not figure out what the problem was. I stopped by just in hope's he would have a smoke machine to help me find the issues, since I was not able to do it at home. He asked me questions and took the time to understand what problems I was having and what I should check for. Then he made time in the middle of a Saturday afternoon to squeeze me in on the dyno and see what he could find. Of course he found it, my brand new boost gauge was not reading accurately. He handled my car with the same care and attention I would, and never did I feel uncomfortable with him running it on the dyno. Incredible top notch customer service to match his skills. Do not hesitate to go here for anything you need.
