First let me say that I have been dealing with Lou and the staff at Aamco for the last 8 years and have always had a positive experience with the shop. I can honestly say that whenever I have an issue I am treated with respect and in a professional manner. They are fair and honest and have always worked with on whatever issue at the time we were looking at with my vehicle.I have referred quite a few of my friend to the shop as well due to my interactions and will continue to do so!!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I had a issue with my transmission and went in to see if there was a fix. Thinking this is a reputable company I drove my car in. They said it was definitely a transmission issue so I went to get it and was unable the drive the car at all. I went to talk to the old man inside he tells me they don't know why it's not moving. Same guys who suppose to know how to fix transmissions now don't know why the cars not moving?? (Let's marinate that) mind you I drove my car in. So I decided to speak to the mechanics but before I could I got yelled at by the old man to not to speak to the workers. The workers turned around and listened. The main owner called my cell phone and threatened me to leave the property with violence. They ruined my car way worse than I drove in. I had to get my car towed 150 dollars. I should have went somewhere else. There workers are 1000% not certified. The only one might be the old man the (Master) to the mechanics.. And he sits down all day long. 5 o'clock came and I never seen workers and the old man rushing to go home. They had my car for two days checking it because the first day they was in such a rush to go home..running out the door STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I don't leave reviews I'm trying to save you time and money in this economy we cannot afford to loose..

I have used AAMCO for the last couple years. Lou is absolutely THE BEST!!!! Great communication, Great service, all around amazing shop to have work done on all my vehicles. Personal and business. Thank you AAMCO and Lou for the outstanding work that you guys provide.

DANGER!!!! PLEASE READ!!!!!AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!The worst experience ever from an auto shop. After 10 days in shop I was told I could pick up my vehicle, at closing time. Was made to pay for repairs in the amount of $3100.64 before I could get my key. No test drive. They told me my vehicle had more issues only after they said they fixed the issue I brought it to them for. I had to have transmission rebuilt. They Claim after rebuilding my transmission that it was then that was the first time they actually turned my vehicle on. When I tried to start, after paying them, nothing happened. They were ready with a technician with a jump starter, they knew the battery was dead and said nothing to me. Battery was not dead when vehicle was delivered to them for transmission repair. After jump started I heard the most awful sound ever heard from an engine. I have no idea what the sound is and they could not tell me. My vehicle never made this sound before. When questioned about the sound as they were locking their doors, they told me they do not know and they do not work on this type of engine! As I am standing in front of their front door, in shock, wondering what I just paid $3100 for, they proceeded to get in their vehicles and drive away, leaving me there. With no other choice I attempted to drive home. I made it 2 miles down the road and the engine overheated and shut down. Smoke is coming from radiator and engine area. There is a puddle beneath my vehicle. Enough to travel down the road and make another puddle. In rush hour traffic I had to call a tow truck at another cost of $90. Called the shop the next day and spoke with the same person I had been speaking with through the entire experience. That is when he told me the vehicle had never been turned on before transmission repair And claimed that after making the repair is when it overheated and the noise began. They said again they do not work on this type of engine. CALLED COOPERATE FROM NUMBER ON MY RECEIPT FOR BREAKDOWN AFTER SERVICE, went to a voicemail to which a message was left to call me back without explaining the issue. Received a call back, and explained situation to the representative who said she would contact the shop and would call me back. That was two weeks ago and have not heard anything back. Have sent emails through cooperate website with no return. These people have stolen my money and ruined my vehicle. My vehicle is sitting in the same place in front of my house as it was the day tow truck dropped it off. I am unable to drive it as the engine will shut down by itself before I can pull out. I had a perfectly running engine before letting AAMCO touch my vehicle. VERY VERY POOR EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND. Have absolutely no idea what they did to my vehicle but they are wanting to deny any liability. Have not been able to work as I work out of my vehicle. The name of the individual I dealt with at the local shop is LOU. NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

Great shop. I've had warranty work, and not warranty work here! Lol. But Lou is your guy if you need work done. Super knowledgeable dude, and tries to give good prices. He's better than other local guys for my Cadillac ATS! Good service, good price! Thanks Aamco LHP!

You come to a franchise for the standardized organization, quality of work and follow through behind that work. It s the people that make the difference. Lou was responsive, respectful, followed up with the status of my vehicle and had it up and running quickly! No hassles and stood behind his work. Lou was very professional and thorough in addressing and resolving the transmission gear slippage in my 170k Scion. It was a hairline crack on the planet plate causing a drop in the hydraulic ATF pressure when cold. The expert diagnosis resulted in a much less expensive repair and the vehicle was returned on time as promised with an 18 mo. warranty. Definitely recommend this shop.Service: Transmission

1. LEE AND LOU ARE THE BIGGER SCAM ARTISTS.2. THEY STOLE FROM ME $600 FOR A FLYWHEEL THAT I NEVER AUTHORIZE THIS PART WAS NO DAMAGE3. I ASKED TO SEE MY OLD PART AND I GOT FROM LOU THE MOST NASTY AND SCREAMED AT ME AFTER I PAID $3000 TO FIX THE CLUTCH4. LOU AND LEE MAKE DIRTY BUSINESS TO STILL A LOT OF MONEY TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY CREATING FEAR AND "FAKE INVOICES" THIS BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATE BY THE AUTHORITIES.5. Took my 2006 Volvo XC90/V8 to AAMCO for possible transmission issues. Lou kept me informed from the day of drop off to day of pickup. He was very upfront with options, costs, difficulties acquiring parts, and other suggestions. Transmission had to be basically be overhaul/rebuild, input speed sensor replaced, etc. Drove my vehicle home yesterday and informed Lou of noises and concerns. He told me to monitor it. If it got worst to return the vehicle to the shop. Otherwise, takes of notes and on the 10 day follow up to check fluids, we shall revisit the concerns if they still exist. I appreciate the honesty and open communication experienced at this establishment. This was a very expensive vehicle repair but Lou was still able to give me a discount to assist.Services: Transmission, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

After receiving a quote from a local shop, I thought I would check with AAMCO for a second opinion. BIG MISTAKE. My mechanic up north suggested I would eventually need a new clutch. After travelling to Florida, the gear shifting was apparent which eventually led me to this shop. The earlier estimates from the others was under $2000, these guys initially came in at $4900. They eventually lowered it to $4000. We decided to have the work performed by the garage who provided the first estimate. NO REGRETS.Service: Transmission

Ever since I moved to south Florida, my dad s been saying you need to find an auto body shop you can TRUST . I am happy to confidently say I HAVE FOUND THAT PLACE! I ve been to several shops around town, and no one compares to the friendliness, professionalism, sincerity, and honesty that I received from Lou when I walked through the door at AAMCO off of N Federal. Lou was patient and thorough in his explanation of what to expect and was prompt in scheduling an appointment for me. I have been back several times since because I truly appreciate a company I can depend on for QUALITY results. Lou and his team are awesome. I brought my car in for transmission repairs and it shifts smoother than it did when I bought the car off the showroom floor. I brought it to have transmission reprogrammed due to an error. When I picked up the car, Lou, handed me my keys and said he provided a full tune up service on the house. When offered to pay him, he denied and said Merry Christmas. I will never take my car anywhere else to be serviced. Run run run.My car AC doesn t worked, I took there, first they seemed professional. They called me, said they find problem and gave me an estimate. They did something and said my AC fixed. I paidThey also told me just in case they filled up my system with colored coolant if something is going wrong, we will see.3 days AC not worked anymore. I take my car back they said they will look after what happened. 3 days after I left messages but nobody called me back.I reached them fifth day, he said they ordered a part tomorrow coming he promised to call me back. He didn t.I left a message again I told him I will leave a bad review. He called me next day and he said my car ready to useHe gave me nothing only my key no invoice no information what he changed.After 3-5 days my AC doesn t work anymore. I don t understand if they put colored coolant, I think easy to check what is wrong, but they did nothing. This is a work truck I going to work with open windows and sweating.I lost lot of time and money but happened nothing my AC still doesn t work. I don t know what they doing with other service but if you need AC repair definitely need an other car repair shopServices: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I never leave bad reviews but service here was terrible. My coins were stolen, my radio antenna was stolen, they scratched my car broke my trimming and with all that each time the job was not done properly. Thousands of dollars spent and my car still runs awful. By the way they told me it's because they left my car outside the homeless people might have broken into it. One time I found a lighter in my vehicle which means they chill out and smoke in my car. Please do not use these people! They are swindlers, they got me for over 600.00 for something that I found out was way cheaper! And then on top of that, my car started doing the same thing so I know they didn t fix it properly! I called them back and the lady said that I would have to come back and they will have to see if it s the same problem! I will never go to them and never refer anyone to them! Save your money, go to a dealership and get proper care, I do not trust them!

Their customer service is totally unique. They are so friendly and understanding. They took very good care of our car. The only thing we didn't like was how long they took to fix it. Well, I guess that good service can't be rushed! The car is running fine now which is good, and we're happy about that. Thank you AAMCO for a great service :-)

I called to make an appointment to get new brakes and new rotors. Lou was so nice and Customer Service oriented. He gave me a price and got me in just as he said. I paid exactly what was quoted on the phone. Then, he even did a diagnostic check for me because I was driving to Tampa with my vehicle so he made sure I had no problems along my trip, that was very nice of him to do. Lacy, the Administrator in the office was very nice too. Overall, it was a great experience.

I was exasperated when the dealership where I take my vehicle to be serviced stated it needed a new transmission. The quote they gave me was outrageous, especially when I was told they do not install rebuilt transmission but new ones. Even though my car was barely drivable I managed to drive it home. When I googled auto shops that specifically deal with such repairs I immediately called AAMCO. When I called AAMCO in Lighthouse Point I was greeted by an amiable gentleman named Lou who happened to be the manager, and put my fears at ease. He gave me a quote based on what I had been told, but he assured me he would get a computer diagnostic once the car was brought in. I called a tow truck and it was delivered to his shop. He stated he'll call me once he found out what was wrong. During the few days my vehicle was at AAMCO, Lou would call me to keep me posted on the specifics and progress of the repairs. He's very attentive, knowledgeable, and very conscientious. He even put in a new dipstick at no charge that the dealerships months earlier somehow forgot to put in when I took it for an oil change. My car now runs smooth and drives as new. I highly recommend AAMCO of Lighthouse Point for their efficient work and prompt response.

Held my car hostage for 24 hrs before telling me he visually inspected it and drove it even though it didn t have transmission fluid in it damaging it even more. Then had the gall to tell me for a measly $850.00 he would drop my transmission and THEN tell me what s wrong with it. Good luck with Lou Aamco Refused to give his last name over the phone even though there is a card with his name on it sitting on the counter. I have never taken my vehicles to anyone besides the dealership. My mother inlaw had an issue with her car and her dealership was to far so I gave Aamco a shot. I recently had an Issue with my own car and I will never go back to the dealer I will be using Aamco from now on for all my vehicles. Lou and of his technicians are absolutely amazing and the most honest I have come by in 25 years. A+Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes

I bought my car at Drive Time a year and a half ago. I have had minimal problems but when there is one, it's major. Well my car stopped going into reverse and i called the warranty company that i have who directed me to AAMCO. I dropped the car off and spoke with Lou the next day. He was awesome!!! He told me he would be right on it and have it diagnosed and contact my warranty company which he did right away. The warranty company gave Lou a hard time but her was persistent. Once they finally gave him the approval, my car was fixed within 2 days. The car is back on the road and driving better than before.Thank you Lou and Lee!!! You made the experience for a single gal a pleasurable one and one that i will never forget!!! So many people see a woman coming and they try and get what they can above and beyond what is wrong with the car but not here...I will recommend highly and often.Happy Holidays

First off, I just want to say Lou and Lee are very professional and are the best mechanics that I ever dealt with in my entire lifetime. My husband usually goes to them for all his service needs for his business truck and would come home bragging about how they've helped him save money. My little brother came into town from Orlando to get his AC in his car fixed and didn't have to pay a thing right away. Recently, the engine in my Hyundai Sonata locked and wouldn't crank up. I took my vehicle to Lou and Lee and they both helped me with my car situation.The moral of the story is Lou and Lee are really for the people! They genuinely help you out and keep it REAL! I recommend this location to everyone! They are quick to work with you then to rip you off like most mechanic shops. If you or anyone you know are having issues with your/their vehicle, go to this location! You will not regret your decision to do so. The outcome will be EXCELLENT and afterwards, you'll feel as if Lou and Lee are like family.

RUN!!! Do NOT trust these people!!! Took my money and damaged my car! Had $2000 more in repairs just days after giving them $5000 to service my car. Techs are negligent. Lou hasn t call me back.

My 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 had to have the whole rear end done over. Lou worked with me to find a fully rebuilt rear end and when it was delivered, the technician Ernie said, it wasn't the right one. Lou kept his poise and put it back on the truck, had the replacement there in 2 days and I was out the door. The truck runs great again and I'm very grateful for both Lou and Ernie for doing such a great job for me. Thanks guys!!

I highly recommend AAMCO Transmission &Total Car Care of Lighthouse Point. They are all professional, caring and respectful people. When I was quoted almost $6K to fix my car, they assessed the situation quoted me half the amount and honored me with military discount. USCG! They worked with me financially, with their easy 12 months no interest plan. I will never use another mechanic again. Lou, Lee and Art made me feel like family. Thank yo!

Wish I could give more stars, great customer service. Lou helped us from start to finish.My mom was so excited when she finally met Lou she gave him a hug. He was able to resolve the warranty issue and got the job done.
