I have had work done on my car twice now and everyone here is always so pleasant. It is a very friendly atmosphere. Brian has helped me both times, he is very patient and excellent at explaining things. They have options to drop off your vehicle or for something minor they have a very comfortable waiting area with complimentary refreshments such as coffee and bottled waters. I highly recommend Lake Sumter transmission if you are needing any work done on your vehicle. They also do more services other than transmission.

From the very first time I spoke with Brian, he sounded trustworthy and professional. I called around to the dealerships and 1 person told me it would cost me $13,000-$15,000 dollars to fix our truck. Brian had said it would probably cost us approximately $500-$800 to fix ,unless there was something unforeseen when they got into the job. We ended up paying a little over $700 for the repair. I am so thankful ,that, there are still people in the world that are honest and truly do not want to rip you off. We are very grateful we found this company. Should we need any more service to either of our vehicles, Lake Sumter Transmission will have our business. Thanks to Ed, Gina, and Hope also for being so nice. Keep up the great work! Excellent service and friendly people. Took my Jeep for an oil leak and they did a complete inspection to include liquids, lights, body, engine, transmission and they ID 2 additional issues that could had been a real problem later. So they fixed all issues and my jeep is like new again. Very affordable price for all they did. Thanks to Brian and his team. You are the best.

Recently had the some repair work on my Caddy and the experience was over the top awesome on all levels, without question The Best!! Auto Repair Experience Ever!! Highly Recommend!! I was a new customer. Employees were all courteous, professional, & knowledgeable. All seems well with my '07 Avalanche that has 152K miles on it. Will be sure to bring it back after 500 miles for the checkup to initiate the warranty.

Great and very honest mechanics. Ed was a great contact point and if I need any transmission work there is only a single place I would go and it s here. I would recommend any close friends and family to hear. By far the best shop in town and great customer service.

Brian - Service Mgr was Great! Took the time to explain and inform through every step of the process. My '07 Vette Torque Tube Rebuild went flawlessly. Appreciate all they did and at a reasonable price. Recommend highly!

$700 not to flush, but just dump transmission pan and replace filter? 3 1/2 hours at $120 hrs. On a 1 hrs job.I'll Pass!

Lake Sumter saved me from a complete transmission replacement! The Subaru service department took less than an hour to give me a $6000+ replacement estimate. Lake Sumter fixed it for $265! I got so lucky. Thank goodness I chose to get a second opinion!

100% recommend, took my 2011 Dodge caliber in because of a transmission issue it was having., I thought it might need a new transmission.. The stuff recommended I service it 1st I did and it fixed my vehicle.Saving me thousands good honest shop friendly stuff. And a cute doggy.

Ed was beyond helpful and friendly! I was also greeted by the most beautiful dog ever, giving the sence of a small business which I love. The mechanic was able to find the issues with transmission and engine. I was not pressured into anything, and I received honest advice from Ed. This is by far the best car shop I have been to. Outstanding service!

Very knowledgeable and professional staff. Had wife s car in last week for transmission preventive maintenance and the very knowledgeable tech discovered I had a broken motor mount which they replaced this week. Ed and his tech deserve 5 stars. Pricing was fair. Her car only had 50k miles on a 2012. We owned since new. Will definitely recommend and come back.

This review is long overdue! They rebuilt my transmission almost 2 years ago and my car has run beautifully since! I do most of the maintenance and repairs my vehicle needs but was devastated when I believed I might have a transmission problem after my car would no longer accelerate in drive.. Brian is honest with prices and gave me the good and bad news. He worked with me to find the best repair option and kept my vehicle safe until pay day. These guys know what they are doing and you will be pleased with their work.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!Had some custom work done on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler and they went above and beyond. Did a re-gear and locking differentials on both front and rear. The techs knocked it out of the park. The Jeep runs great and is better than ever. Everything went exactly as Ed said it would. Awesome experience and great customer service as well as attention to detail! Thank you Ed and Lake Sumter Transmission.

I had a transmission leak and went to several shops to repair it but I kept seeing a leak. Finally went to Lake Sumter Transmission and they found my problem in my cooling line and fixed it and cleaned the underside of my of my car also. Brian was very helpful and professional. I can rely on Lake Sumpter Transmission service to do quality work without worrying about some new guy breaking air cleaner clips or overtightening fastners to the point of breaking or stripping threads. They do the research before taking in your vehicle knowing what every job takes to do it right. My most recent work there had the bill less than the estimate. Anyone seriously in the business to be successful needs to charge a fair rate to cover expenses. I am a fair mechanic myself doing most of my own work for years. Two of my vehicles are under factory warranty and they need the attention of a certified shop to maintain the warranty. At some point on retirement I have other things I would like to spend my time doing. Being forced to service my own vehicles out of need not trusting quick change places not to break stuff under the hood is a big relief. Thank these guys for being professional and caring. Even while I was there others came in wanting a second look at their vehicle and they were handled with respect and patients knowing they would remaine as long term customers. My three visits there they were all fairly quick including one visit were the Chevrolet dealer refused to do the work called for in the owners manual.

My son was passing through Leesburg when returning from a fishing trip when his transmission failed. Ed and team really helped him in the investigation and repair of the transmission. It took a few weeks, but the truck runs great. My son is back on the road and going on other fishing trips. Lake Sumpter Transmission was a great shop to work with for this repair.

From my experience with them I feel they are honest and they know thier stuff. It's hard to find a business like this nowadays. Ed was very pleasant. I will definitely recommend them to my friends.

Well 3800.00 later and didn't even make it home with truck. My oil pump failed. If they would have test drove it ,they would have known it. So I can't tell you what kind of job they did on my transmission. My daughter and I will do oil pump and timing chain . Can't seem to find a trustworthy mechanic.
