Had an appointment for an estimate for oil change and fixing a door handle at 8 am. 3 hours later I left with an estimate of $200 for oil change, no estimate on the door and they charged me $220 for diagnostic test and 3 light bulbs in rear lights. Receptionist made me sit in back room with no AC, no updates and no TV. Expensive and worst experience ever. Oh, and no oil change!

I will just post the facts and let you come to your own conclusion as to what was going on.My wife's 2013 vehicle stopped working and we had it towed to Automaster to have it checked out. They told us the engine was seized, which it was. They told us it was $8,200 to put a used motor with 70 to 80k miles in the vehicle, or they gave us the option of just signing the vehicle over to them in exchange for waiving the $135 diagnostic fee. The motor issue was part of a factory recall, so I paid the fee and had the vehicle towed to the dealer and they installed a new motor and starter for $0. and provided me with a rental car. (Thanks Hyundai) A quick internet search found used motors for this vehicle for around $1,500 to $2,000(that would mean about $6,000 labor to install was quoted). If you can ad 2+2 you should be able to figure it out, but I will stick to the facts and let you come to your own conclusion.I am adding this after reading their response. There is no feeling in my review, only facts. Actually, I don t make an assertion or comment on their motivation. Only the details were provided for you to make your own judgment. But, it s pretty clear what happened.

Zero stars for terrible customer service yesterday (8/15/23) by Thomas, the manager of AutoMasters in Leesburg. I had an appointment for 11:00 and when I arrived on time, Thomas said it would be two hours before they could begin working on my car because he had sold a job that morning and this new job won t be finished for another two hours. When I questioned his reasoning for taking on a new job that would have a significant effect on my appointment, he tried to give a variety of excuses to justify what he did. Thomas went on to say it s like being at a doctor s office and having to wait even though you had an appointment. This is a flawed comparison. If I was on time for a doctor s appointment and was told on arrival that my appointment has been pushed back two hours because they decided to add some non-emergency patients ahead of me on the schedule, I would not be happy. Who would be? I also asked Thomas why he didn t call me to let me know they wouldn t be able to work on my car at the scheduled time? He didn t have an answer. I thought he might call today to apologize for his poor decisions. He didn t call. Sorry, cannot recommend unless you like this type of treatment.

Took my car for auto diagnostics and paid approx 180.00. I was told I would get a estimate e mailed to me on Monday. I never heard back from them. I left a review . Was called by the manager and told they were busy had a lot going on in the shop lately and they forgot about me. THEY DID NOT FORGET TO CHARGE ME FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC. How do you forget about your customers??? Cat was repaired elsewhere and all is well . Dead battery Service: Auto engine diagnostic

So recently I had my car serviced here. I also needed the TPMS replaced on one tire at a cost of $300. I go ten miles down the road and the TPMS light comes on, I take it back and they again claim they fix it. I leave again and the TPMS is not even registering now, I go back a third time and request my money back, he says okay,. takes my car back and brings it out again and claims that it is fixed. I'm good with that. but this leads me to believe he didn't even replace it the first two times and tried to reinstall old one that popped off.I have used them previously. Last three times, looks like 3 different manager or owners. The manager/owner this time recommended a couple or services i.e. spark plugs, drive belt, battery and front brakes at an outrageous price. ($2300plus)He being unaware I have mechanical skills and would just rather pay someone to do this stuff, but at these prices he quoted, I have to get my hands dirty. Moving on, I purchase parts from Autohaus, spark plugs, drive belt and front brakes for around $150. Well I did replace spark plugs but the drive belt he said was showing signs of wear and cracking was in as good of shape as the one I purchased. Today i was about to change the the brakes that he said were so badly worn and the brakes were no where near the 3 mm he said they were and urgently needed replacing. This was my experience with the new manager/owner. All I'm saying is be cautious in your dealing with Automaster!Services: Auto engine tuning, Oil change

We found this shop when we first moved here because we got new plates at the DMV and the bolts on my wife's plates were rusted and stripped. This was the closest shop we found on Google, and they took her right in and changed everything at no charge, refusing to take any money from her. Since then, I've brought my car multiple times, and they are always prompt, courteous, thorough, and fairly priced. If a problem reappeared, they took care of it right away, again at no charge. It is very hard to find a good, honest business, especially when it comes to auto repair. Auto Master has made clients for life out of my family in a very short time. We will direct anyone who asks about an auto shop to use them.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brake service & repair

Automasters does excellent work. Tom and his crew are great. I have a 2007 Volvo XC70 wagon that has been to Victoria's west coast to California, Montreal to Key west on the east coast and Baff to Toronto in Canada. I need a good car and have enjoyed it, give them a call. You will be blessed if you give them a chance to help you.

I have always had my BMW 7.40i serviced by a BMW Dealer. However, as it is now 6 years old and had some pretty major issues I took it to William. It was less than half the price of what the Dealership would have charged and everything was done within 36 hours!Excellent service and great value!Thank you William and everyone there.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Tried to charge me $170 for an oil change! Sign on the window says $50. The woman at the counter said that was only labor. Im from Canada, Ontario plates. Guessing there's some connection to trying to grossly overcharge. We have a winter home here in a community with 1200 homes. I have posted on our website your level of integrity.

I purchased a used 15 Mercedes last Friday from a small dealership a couple hours away from Leesburg. On the way home, at about 100 miles, the check engine light came on and the car was running rough. Since I was about home, I just kept going. When I got home and turned the car off and restarted it, the light was off and running smoothly and haven t had any issues since. I took the car to a Mercedes dealership yesterday to have a recall performed. I also asked them to check into why the engine light had came on? Thinking that if anything was wrong, it would be covered under warranty. They told me the spark plugs need to be replaced, clean coil boots and clean spark plug wells due to the way the cars engine had been detailed and it would not be covered under warranty with an estimate of about $650. I took it to AutoMaster today and told them what the dealer had told me. I d rather spend my money locally if the repair was needed. After about 30 minutes of their time diagnosing, hooking up to the computer and test driving, Tom (the GM) told me there is no reason to replace the spark plugs in the car and it everything checked out fine. And, didn t charge me a dime for this service. Honest mechanics are hard to fine! Thank you... I will be back when I need service.

Made an appointment on line, they confirmed it and when I got there I was treated like family. He already had the info and all I had to do was give him my car key. He kept me abreast of what was transpiring and even pointed out that I had a nail in my tire and recommended I go across the street to have it fixed, who charged me nothing to plug it. I met the owner of the business in the waiting room. Was very friendly and very business savvy! I drive from The Villages because I trust my Smart Car For Two to only AutoMasters of Leesburg. The have always done a perfect job and only what is needed! Highly recommended!

At first I thought it would be okay to let them work on my car. My car was overheating and they said it was a bad water pump. It cost $1667.00 for a water pump plus labor. I also got an oil change. So all together it was $1847.00 they gave me 25 bucks off. . They had my car for over a week, broke the first water pump they ordered and had to replace it. So when it was time to pick up my car, they tried to charge me over $2000 instead of the $ 1847 for the broken water pump that they broke. No ma am... it wasn t happening. I have an Audi Q7 the labor was 489. I kind of feel like I was overcharged. And my engine light came on the next day.

Outstanding service. Very accommodating, got me in with a short notice. This was my second visit for routine maintenance this year and each visit was outstanding with friendly and professional service. Well done. I trust AutoMaster of Leesburg with both of my Mercedes vehicles. Great job and see you next time.

William has been so helpful guiding us thru the process of what turned out to be an expensive repair. We is knowledge, honest and explains the pieces to you in layman's terms so you fully understand. I truly believe when our car is finished there will be no cause for worry regarding the repairs. Finally! A mechanic that we can trust!

They charged me 500$ for an alignment and diagnosis of a coolant leak. Which they did nothing. The car still needed an alignment once I left automaster and they blatantly lied and said I wasn t leaking any coolant. I doubt their technicians even looked at my car for a second. The owner of the business is a scam artist and borderline thug trying to swindle people out of their hard earned money. I would never recommend this place to my enemies. In a time of need this company is praying upon the little guys.

Now this is a company that knows your business they took my Mercedes that had multiple issues corrected a fish in the sea efficiently and for a reasonable price. They're courteous and professional and can be counted on to correct whatever deficiency your vehicle may have at a good price in contrast to the dealership they were 1/5 of the quoted price to correct my power window problem afterward the parts failed and they stood by the warranty work and made the repairs as well as securing the warranty for the parts.

I was pleased with the alignment on my 1999 SL500. Good job and on the drive home I remarked how smooth the ride had become. Once I had arrived at home, however, and walked around admiring my very new purchase of the SL, I noticed the underside of the front bumper had been damaged as well as a grease mark on my doors speaker cover. I was beside myself and thought of the best way to handle it as there was always the possibility my claim would not be believed. I do most of my own work on my cars, a '97 S420 and now my first time owning an SL. So, I decided to bring the damage to the attention of Automaster, stating I would make my own repair. The damage, I assume, occurred during the test drive as the repair order showed a 5 mile difference from car in to car out. I simply can't believe the damage would have gone unnoticed by the road tester. Be that as it may, I will make my own repair but I was promised, at least, I would receive a call back to discuss. I simply made a suggestion on quality control before returning a vehicle to the customer. I never got that call. Although I think the work done was excellent I cannot give a rating of more than 3 stars. I'll have to find another garage in which to place my cars and trust.

Wants $125.00 just to look at the car. Estimate, not a fixed price! That's his office visit price he said, just like a doctor. What do we think of healthcare costs?Customers might have more disposable income than sense. If he charges that much for an estimate, probably not getting referrals or return businesses. I always look for people I can trust, that want a relationship and repeat business, not a 125.00 estimate. Do you think his estimates were so expensive that people did not have him do the work! So his solution...125.00 estimate since he is not going to get the work.I will find a fair Mercedes Repair shop and post it so you have an option.

I called this company asking if they could diagnose my AC, the person said they don t do that what they do is drain all old Freon out put new in with a die help me drive for two days come back and they check AC.So I took it to them I was in a pinch they call me back About four hours later to come get the car I pick the car up he said the pressure valve was bad the compressor was bad and said they topped off my AC. Why would he put Freon in my car if the compressor is bad also dye, I thought he said he didn t diagnose them but anyway so he charged me $125 to diagnose the AC $15.92 for the Freon $12.95 for the AC leak and $4.62 for shop supplies and $1.50 for waste disposal that s a total of $171.19 for just looking at my AC basically and put freon and Dye that I didn t need because they already knew My ac compressor was bad just another way to get some more money out of me I guess no sense in arguing with the guy not getting my money back so take from this for what it s worth suggest looking elsewhereService: A/C installation & repair

This shop is a big NOPE from my personal experience. I was quoted over the phone 150.00 for an AC diagnosis. When I picked it up I was charged 275.00. The bad part isn't so much the innacurate quote the BAD part is they misdiagnosed it TWICE resulting in me spending over a 1000.00 replacing parts that were simply not the fix. I ultimately took it to an actual mechanic who works on Mini Coopers and I got it diagnosed AND fixed for less than 450.00. So I'm sure you can understand my frustration and without further explanation I will let you make up your own mind but if you want quality and value this is definitely not the place to go.

I was treated with courtesy and received a good explanation of the repairs and cost. A detailed receipt was issued. However, one of the underlying problems has not been resolved. I telephoned the Service Manager less than one hour after leaving the shop, and so far, I've not had a reply or even an acknowledgment from the Manager or the Owner. That was three weeks ago! Poor follow-up!!!! ;-(
