In and out in no time, and came to him after I got out of work and he was still willing to help me out. Carl was nice and attentive, as soon as he saw my issue he had my car fixed. Can't say enough good things about Carls Auto. Professional, knowledgeable, fair priced, and as honest as they come. Carl is the kind guy you want dealing with your vehicle, and he's going to treat you like a person instead of a paycheck.I brought in my truck with a bad water pump. It's my work vehicle, and I told them I absolutely had to have it back by the end of the day. The pump didn't arrive till after 4pm and they stayed an hour after they closed to finish the repair. I was impressed.I live close by, but I'll travel as far as it takes to allow Carls Auto to service my vehicles.

What you don't get in looks the Honesty the Quality work the reasonable prices and great customer service definitely makes up for it!! I am very tickled with the work and the timeliness of the repairs that Carl and his son Alex provided .. I needed a water pump and radiator he saved me close to $600 from the first estimate I got.. (which was wayy out of line) He even welded my rear sway bar back on for free. .and fixed the latch on my hood @ no charge.. I will be keeping Carl's as MY Mechanic aside from the fact he is also a really nice guy as well!Service: Engine repair

Carl has been our mechanic since we moved here (3yrs). My father-in-law has used him for much, much longer, maybe 10 or more years. All my local in laws use Carl as well. And, he's the best mechanic I've ever used, anywhere.* Prices are EXTREMELY reasonable, I'm always surprised in a good way!* He chases down the root of the problem, and gets it fixed the first time* He's really HONEST! He tells you if something doesn't really need to be done (we thought our brake pads needed doing, they weren't too worn, though), and he'll tell you what does need to be done and (roughly) how urgently.Don't let the hole-in-the-wall shop appearance turn you off. You'll save money and get a great mechanic if you choose Carl!

This guy is an absolute God send..He is the best mechanic and a pretty cool dude to top it off. You won't go wrong going to him. He is honest and will not waste a second of your time. Absolutely not one complaint

Carl s one of the best mechanics in this area. I ve been in the car business for 10 years and he is one of the few guys I would let touch my vehicles. His prices are very reasonable and he gets the job done quick.

Seriously the best mechanic. If you want someone honest he is your man. Very straight forward about any problems with your vehicle and he isn't out to rip people off. Remember people you get what you pay for.

Carls automotive is by far the best place for my auto repair..being a veteran i have been around the world and Carls is unsurpassed. Their attentiveness to their repairs is bolstered by their politeness and stayed in contact with me during the repairs made..will not go to another mechanic..he will lead you in the right direction for all other auto need as in my case a new comvertible top..kudos to Carls Automotive located at Starkey and Ulmerton behind Thorntons on Starkey
