I ve often wondered what it s like being an automotive technician, after-all, my father was, and given this fact I should know. Guess I wasn t paying enough attention. Now I m very much dependent, having an older vehicle with lots of mileage.My vehicle decided it couldn t wait to see the technician and it decided to rest along the I-4 corridor, sputtering and spewing to its final resting place at Five Guys lakeland. I did the usual thing and called AAA, and true to form what should be a 40 minute response turned out to be 5 hours, this seems to be there wait time bench mark. Luckily there is Maurice, I called and their tow truck was there within 25 minutes. The tow truck driver (Adam) was extremely professional, courteous, and kind.Upon arriving at the establishment I was met by the service manager (Christian ) who was most articulate and detailed in his approach to getting a symptomatic description of the issue. The office was clean, well designed and the staff were polite and very professional. In the cozy waiting room there was coffee and water for the taking.I was most impressed with the level of customer service of this establishment and would naturally suspect great emphasis went into training. However I discovered the staff really loved their employer (Maurice) and they were motivated to do a good job for the public on behalf of the business. This was evident, as while I was there I observed pizza was served for lunch. It seems the establishment worked and ate together, which in my book is always a good sign of mutual care.I gave four stars, leaving out the last one for vehicle performance evaluation after the repair, which is currently under review. Stay tuned.

I never post reviews but Maurice's Auto Repair and Towing have done such a fantastic job with my car I want to let people know.I bought a lemon that needed far more work than I bargained for, starting with a hard to find transmission. Brakes, alternator, plugs & coils, arm controls & tie rods. Their quoting on labor is by the book and that's what you'll pay.Maurice, Demetrious, Carlos, Alex and the office staff are always courteous, helpful and responsive to my questions.I brought this car to the right place!

I was hit by a bus on my motorcycle and my bike was towed to this tow yard. My insurance wouldn t cover the fees and I make less than $700 a month. I was able to speak to the owner and as soon as he heard my situation he made me a great deal. I appreciate his kindness and professionalism. I still have some healing to do and my bike is busted but this definitely helped me out A TON! Thank you for the kindness you and your team showed me sir. I am grateful.

I was very impressed with Maurice's Auto Repair. My car was towed there since the dealer was closed and the incident happened later in the evening. I have had a lot of trouble with my car that was bought brand new from Regal Chevrolet. For the past 3 years all the check engine light, 1000's of dollars that was spent, it took a different eye to see the problem. Unfortunately, it was too late. I went without my car for a month while the warranty company played back and forth games with me, requiring me to pay tear down costs as a customer. The issue started with a vacuum pump, and ended with camshaft and crankshaft destroyed. I was forced to tow my car back to the dealer , as I will be seeking an attorney under lemon law. Maurice's staff was very friendly and helpful, (Demetrius) looked out for my best interest and made it as comfortable as possible. I will definitely be taking my business back to Maurice's.

As a first time customer at Maurice s auto repair my experience was an absolute amazing and out of this world. From Jackie greeting me at front desk, Carlos at the service desk and Maurice the owner made me feel welcomed and treated me like family. I had a few warning lights on my dashboard in my car They diagnosed and fixed all the issues at a super reasonable price and my car is running like a champ. Maurice the owner also offered me a loaner car while my car was out of service.This shop is the real deal and they definitely gained a new customer for life. Thank you all so much for all your support and please thank the mechanic on my behalf. They re the best and keep the good work!Perfecto

This is the best auto repair/ towing business! Not only were they very nice, polite, and customer oriented, they make sure your vehicle is up and running as fast as possible. My car needed lots of repairs when I had it towed they gave me a good price and MADE SURE I was happy with the work they did. They went the extra mile to make sure my car was going to function properly without having to bring it back. They gave me an update on the condition of my vehicle and advised me of other repairs that needed to be done. Since I wasn t aware of that before I towed my car to their shop, they took the time to actually SHOW ME, so I can know what they were talking about. I appreciate everything that they ve done for me including the excellent customer service. I recommend EVERYONE in Polk county to bring their car to Maurice s Auto repair. They will get you together FAST!

Maurice & Demetrius and the good people at Maurice s Auto Repair are superb! They took care of my car like I asked. I had other minor issues (that were not part of requests/billing) with my car that haven t reoccurred since they serviced it. They went above and beyond.

I had my 98 Subaru towed twice to Maurice s. Both times Jay was the tow truck operator that picked my car up. He provided stellar customer service. And quickly, safely and with expert skill safely transported my car to Maurice s Auto Repair and Towing.The customer service they provide is the best in Lakeland. I only trust them to work on my vehicles. They also give some of the best prices around.

Everyone at Maurices was extremely helpful, kind, friendly, and professional. I was able to bring my car in right away and have it looked at immediately. I was given a printout of the estimate that it would be and that is exactly what I was charged. I was provided a ride home and a ride back to pick up my van when it was finished Not only that, but, discovering that my windshield wipers were damaged, they replaced them for me. I will definitely be using Maurice s again in the future

Maurices was recommended by a muffler shop that I had called to get a price for the work I needed done on my car. They are very friendly and informative. I was told everything I wanted to know about my car repairs and they kept in touch with me as the work progressed, I originally went for catalytic converter and while my car was there, MECHANIC called me back and told me I had a really bad oil leak And they were they could get it repaired the same day. I also found out my radiator. Cap was broken. They replaced it free when I went to pick up my car. I found out the starter was bad and they replaced it for free! They even gave me a really nice car to use while they were working on mine. When I went back, Maurice was there, and very kindly explained everything. I can t say enough good about this place I will definitely return and recommend them to my friends and family. I give them six stars!

I brought my car in for an inspection before my cross-country road trip and they left no stone unturned to find everything that needed swapped in my car. They were very professional, courteous, and went to every extent possible to give me the best option possible, even up to the extent of needing a full motor swap. These people are the textbook definition of quality over quantity, and my only wish is that I could boost their ratings even more to convey just how grateful I am for how much they were able to get done in the short amount of time they had my car

Been doing business with Maurice's Auto for about 20 yearsI have recommended them to several friendsHas a new AC installed nearly 2-years ago.Had an issue with the AC a few days ago.They diagnosed the issue and repaired it in a couple daysHe done this at no charge even though the warranty had expiredThis is unheard of today.Great customer service, great quality.My auto repair shop for my futureThanks Maurice

I had a great experience here. I had an issue where the bottom plate piece of my car came loose and started dragging on the road. I was able to make it to Maurice s Auto Repair and Towing, and they were able to see me immediately. They fixed my car up and got me back on the road within the hour. The staff was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this place!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing top-notch service at Maurice's Auto Repair and Towing, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for their exceptional assistance. My car's mud cover had come loose and was dragging on the road, and fortunately I stumbled upon Maurice's, and their team went above and beyond to resolve my issue promptly. Front desk very helpful. They only have one Mercury Ins estimator she got my estimate and ordered the parts. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. Dropped off my car the next week and the work began. Took a week and half, completed later than expected probably due to New years holidays. Rental provided on site made it easy and convenient.

Great service! Solved the issue with my vehicle quickly and were very accommodating on drop off - pick up. Great communication in keeping me posted. Everyone there was very nice and really listened. I will definitely take my car there again when in need of service.

I was able to get a tow within 30 min and had no trouble scheduling a 2nd to get my vehicle to another location. Both drivers were fantastic and very professional. I did not catch the name of my first driver, but Jay took care of us the second time and got me and the vehicle safely to the body shop.

My family have used Maurice s since the 80 s and still to this day we recommend them. They have helped me get my car back on the road more than once. Today it was a rock I accidentally drive over and cracked my oil pan :( I got to their shop @2 and they had it fixed by 5:30. I trust Maurices and all of there employees to give me correct information so I can make the right repair choices. They also have towing which I have also used so if you re in need give Maurice s a call!

We use Maurice's for all servicing for both our vehicles. The prices are reasonable and the service is top notch. Very friendly people. Recently we replaced all 4 tires on my car and 2 on my fiancee's. Maurice's were lower priced than the regular chain tire places.This is old fashioned service from a privately owned local business. We definitely recommend.

So impressed to be treated like a valued customer, and not just a number. Maurice took the time to explain the estimate with me, assisted in transportation while my Honda was being repaired, and completed the job in a timely manor. I had an amazing experience with Maurice's auto repair and towing. My suspension had snapped so I was told just one side the rear shackle joint and that was it by a friend. However when I brought it in for further inspection at another shop it was clear that I would have to replace the whole thing springs and all. The first shop was unable to find the parts necessary as I have a 2003 Ford Econoline 250 and the parts are discontinued. A friend referred me to Maurice and when I called they just told me to bring it in right away no appointment necessary. They then went through the trouble of leaving my van on the lift so that they could locate and match up the parts necessary to do the repairs. I live in my van and so for me this was an amazing gift. Because I had to leave all of my earthly possessions in the van, I took great comfort that they were being kept safe while these amazing guys searched for the parts. Not only did they find the parts but that suspension is like new. I feel like I am driving a luxury vehicle right now. I couldn't possibly have thanked these guys enough his entire staff as well as Maurice were incredibly generous with their time and energy. Once they found all the parts, they worked late into the night to do the repairs so that I could get back into my home as soon as possible. Thank you thank you thank you!

My husband and daughter were in a serious wreck Dec 4th. We got the car towed to Maurice's to give an estimate for repair. They were fast, friendly and compassionate. Huge shout out to Sharon who went out of her way to help and answer questions both by phone or in person. She let me go through the car to make sure all our belongings were out, even giving me a hug when I got a good look at it. She made a stressful, emotional situation seem more manageable. Thank you Sharon and Maurices!

Any time I have had any issues I know all I have to do is call Maurice's and I know that from the tow to the work my vehicle will be taken care of and I will be back on the road in no time.They take the time to show me what is wrong and then they fix it at a reasonable price.I will continue to be a customer of theirs.Thank y'all for keeping my vehicles going.

Satisfaction. My family has used Maurices Auto shops since the 1990 s it s continuously an outstanding shop that has many different solutions to all my vehicle issues. They have the best employee s. Jay is the most personable, confident Tow Professional who know what he is doing and gets the job done right. Maurices is aaffordable, trustworthy, reliable company that is rated a next-door favorite. What great service! Called Maurice's Auto Repair after 5 p.m. because I heard a dragging noise coming from underneath my car. Upon inspection, I saw the undercarriage was dragging. My service advisor, Carlos, was great - very friendly & professional. He told me to bring my car in & he would check it for me. They were able to quickly repair the issue and get me back on the road. I'm very grateful to have a family business in our community - one that is committed to great customer service and values the time & business of their customers. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great service experience with friendly, knowledgeable staff.
