I had a great experience here. Jos� was very knowledgeable and gave me a fair price to install a starter. He made sure it was taken care of quickly and efficiently. He did not try to sell me things that I didn't need or try to take advantage of me because I'm a woman like some repair shops have reputations for. I highly recommend Jos� and his team for all of your automotive repair needs.

Joses Auto Repair and Performance is by far the most Elite Shop you'll come across in Polk County.The gentleman is honest, and a master in the craft of automotive repair! He won't rip you off like most of these shops! He will be fair with the pricing and he truely knows what he's doing.I highly recommend Jose's Auto Repair and Performance for any problem you may have with your vehicle. Amazing performance, service on point. My water pump broke 04 Acura TL and they were completely honest with me as far as part and labor pricing. They took their time fixing and in all honesty for their prices is well done! My car is running like new they even washed my other parts that was greased all all over. I would definitely recommend 100% their service. Good service won t come cheap and I will for sure go back to them if any other other issue. Not everyone knows about JDM cars and I fully trust them with my car! Thank you guys for the work.

This guy is really good! My VW TDI 5 Speed bumped into the car in front of me because my brakes all of sudden stopped working and would not shift out of neutral while I was At red light one night it was raining in fact!! Well cars are of course honking at me , not understanding I m broke down well out of thin air Jose comes up to my window asks if I need help, so he jumps in my driver seat manages to get my car moving again and he explains he owns a repair shop near auburndale but he could check my car out now so we pulled off highway to parking lot, let me say, I m hesitant to use a general mechanic I prefer having someone specialized in Volkswagen or German cars but considering he came to my aid so quickly that told me this guy is a go-getter , although hesitant, I m glad I gave him a shot because a week and half later my car drives like it s brand new! All gears are smooth and crisp, my brakes are functioning again, the car drives better than it did on the day I bought It and test drove it! I do Still have some work that needs to be done I have a rear main seal leaking and valve cover needs replacing but Jose will be the one fixing it- he clearly explains his diagnosis and tells me what my options are, and although it was a bit more than $550 at pickup, he still showed me what he did and what still needs work! I highly Recommend this guy!

I highly recommend this amazing, family owned business for all of your auto needs! From the very first phone call, they were personable and friendly. I asked for a timeframe and an estimate, they were less than half of another local shop. They were able to see me the same day. The work was performed in a timely manner and was the same as the quoted price!! Finally, a shop where you don't feel like you're getting ripped off. I will be bringing my Jeep here for everything from now on, oil changes & whatever else! Thank you!!!!Service: Auto A/C recharge

I called for an AC recharge and they saw me same day which is amazing. I ve been without AC for weeks so for them to squeeze me in their busy schedule really impressed me. They diagnosed my vehicle and fixed the issue within an hour! Mind blown! Jose is extremely knowledgeable and a friendly guy. The office clerk is very sweet and also knowledgeable. She knows her stuff! Hands down 10/10 experience from start to finish. This is a family business and I am all for supporting local businesses that actually care about their work and customers. My fiance took her jeep in to get the AC recharged after we replaced her ac condenser. Other shops quoted her $300-400. They performed the recharge for less than half of the $400. Super nice family owned business. I know I will not go anywhere else.

I went to Josue for a maintenance update for my Honda Odyssey. It was a B127 warning sign on my dash, I told him the code and knew right away what the car needed. So far so good! Customer service and honesty go a long way! After what seemed like endless searching for just a quote, Jose replied to me promptly and courteously and was able to provide me with a fair and honest quote! I dropped off my vehicle this afternoon and he was very professional and personable to deal with! I feel like I made the right choice and will be in excellent hands with my car repairs!

Might I just saw, WOW. Jose and his team are by far THE MOST ATTENTIVE, HONEST, CARING AND LOYAL MECHANICS YOULL EVER FIND. Period. I wouldn't normally recommend a place to somebody, but if you need anything done to your car take it to him. He doesnnt want you to burn your wallet to get your car fixed, by that I mean he will not give you false information. He looks at the car as a whole and finds anything that could be wrong with you car, not just the most expensive option. He took into consideration how time sensitive and important it was to me to get my car fixed and even got it back to us the day before Christmas. He worked late hours for us, never have I ever met a business ran by such a caring family. 100000/10 , don't go anywhere else. I will definitely be bring all my cars back to him if I ever need help in the future. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Joses auto and his team. Was recommended to Jose and I'm glad I found out about him. Thought I had a lifter problem but he was honest with me and found out it was a harmonic balancer. For his honesty and price and great work I would recommend Jose to everyone! Give him a call you wont regret it!!!!!

Jose dis not get back to me on the diagnosis of my car in the agreed timely fashion. He then proceeded to do work on my vehicle that we did not discuss, and charge me for it, threatening to keep my vehicle if I didn't pay.I had a very tight budget I had to stay under, but he never discussed with me an estimate before doing the work. He just started working on it, with the assumption I could or would pay. Which I unfortunately had to do, to get my car. My car still isn't running right, and now I'm out $500 for the repairs he says he did, and another $320 for an extended rental fee, because he did not communicate anything.Stay away from this business

Jose and his crew did an amazing job. Explained everything thoroughly. Showed me the old parts and what was wrong with them. Fixed everything same day when I called him in the morning with the problem. Took my car in for what I was told was my shocks and tierods, however after jose looked it was the ball joints and control arm... he was honest and really has made a difference for me and my family! We feel safe and are nOw enjoying a smooth ride! Prices were very fair and affordable too! He has a forever customer now! Jose. Great guy to deal with. Honest and knows his stuff. He also has fair pricing and I would recommend you give him a shot before you call one of those fast food car companies and pay crazy amounts of money to get what needs to be fixed on your vehicle. Highly recommend! Just moved to Lakeland a few years ago and I ve been in search of a great mechanic. I will be recommending him to anyone who needs a car repair man. oil change, check belts, brakes - full car inspectionThe last time I had the car at the dealership a half hour oil change took three hours. The assistant kept coming in with excuses. A salesman stopped by to ask if I wanted to test drive the new model of my vehicle. I wanted to find a reliable mechanic that would let me know what service or repair my car really needed. At this shop I wasn't detained and didn't feel like they were going to spring a big repair job on me that wasn't necessary. They said they don't simply change the oil but check over the whole car. I had a brake light that kept going on and off too. The car was fine except I need new rear tires - not an emergency. They filled the brake fluid which they said should solve the light from going on - and it has. All in all this was an excellent 5 star experience.
