Horrible horrible me and my wife went there on Tuesday the 27th and was promised the car back on Thursday so Tuesday afternoon we call and we're told it would be a extra day ok np well Friday around 2pm we still haven't heard from them so I decided to call I was told over the phone that my car was painted but the wrong color so now I'm pissed car was supposed to be a very nice Dark Red N3705 in there paint book but nope I get a gray not happy then so many runs over spray even on my engine I'm so very disappointed I really wanted my car that color..... I just wanted my car to look good and in the color I wanted me and my wife worked very hard for this car and to have it painted only to be disappointed I'm going to attach photos... the picture of the paint code is the color the car should have been

I am very impressed on how good they did !! I am happy with it and I am a picky person . I walked around the truck 5 times trying to find something wrong I didn t like but never saw anything . If you are looking to give your car/truck some life again for cheap this is the place . Get the most expensive paint job they have which is still very cheap at $575 . I personally pulled everything off the truck so the guys at the shop could focus on doing a good job painting rather than having to tape a bunch of stuff and I would recommend you do the same if have some tools laying around and have the means to do it . I m going to try and keep this paint job waxed so it ll atleast last about 4 years and if I still have truck by then I ll have them painted again for that good of a price

We just had our 2008 Subaru Forester painted at Econ Auto Paint in Lakeland. We could not be more happy. They did an awesome job. We feel like we have a new car. Great job, Econo! We ll be back again.

So I showed up at the Econo paint knowing my guess is that I was not going to get a factory finish paint job. I however did not expect such a poor experience. I was quoted a little under $700 to paint an already glossy black car gloss black. The upcharge was due to their being paint damage and a big red stripe on the vehicle that needed extra sanding so there was a $200 fee for that which I totally expected. So I signed the quote drop the car off and then a couple of days later I was called to pick the car back up. I was met outside by one of the individuals that work there and asked him why they was gray overspray all over my door trim and windshield wiper bezel. He didn't really explain but responded that he would like to respray the car because he did not like how it came out. I like the honesty I said cool he told me to come back in a couple of days so I left and awaited their phone call. They called me to come get the vehicle so I showed up and when I got there I found that my brand new set of $300 headlights were sanded over. As well as still having overspray on those plastics. And the car having one of the worst instances of orange peel I've ever seen in a paint job. It look like somebody did it with spray paint out of a can. So after discussing things with the front desk gentleman I was asked to pay the invoice and that they would purchase new headlights and either put them in for me or have them shipped to my home. It seemed like a very roundabout way to deal with the situation so I had asked to speak to somebody higher up. The gentleman did offer me a phone number which I called and somebody I can only describe as a jerk answer the phone angrily. When I described the situation to him his exact response was "what do you want from us". I told him that I did not want to pay the full amount and that I would like to subtract the $300 for my headlights off of the cost of the paint job. After he angly asked me who gave me his phone number I told him and he hung up the phone with me and then called the gentleman behind the counter and yelled at him. He let him know to give me that discount. I left. I got the vehicle home and the closer I've looked at the car the more places I found that they sanded over including my back windshield my brake lights and the side teardrop windows on the car. I've also found numerous places that simply just were not sanded down after it was primed and sprayed over anyways. The damage to the car is going to cost me more than the car is worth at this point. The windows and all the lights in the vehicle were flawless before I dropped off the car. The paint job on the car wasn't even that bad it just had a really ugly red stripe on it and I figured I'd get the whole thing painted but the paint that job that's on it now is easily one of the worst things I've ever seen before as far as auto paint jobs go. it literally looks as if it was done and someone's front yard with a can of spray paint. I have not bothered to re-contact them simply because of the way I was treated on that telephone call. I tried to look for some sort of a corporate number but that is obviously not available because this is just sort of how they run their business I take it so they don't really want people trying to contact them. I have easily never been this disappointed in a service I've received anywhere. If you are planning to go to them I would probably just save your money and head to AutoZone and buy some spray paint. I can almost guarantee it's going to come out better

The one thing I can say good about this place is that Matt at the desk is a nice guy and does what he can in his power to make things right. However, I had my van painted the 1st time back in May of this year, within a couple month rust was coming through the new paint job, emblems were put back on in the wrong place, parts of the car were badly over sprayed and some of the key locks were painted over and some were not. So I took the van back to have it repainted properly a 2nd time, bring up all these issues to be corrected. When I got it back the 2nd time, it was badly over sprayed again in which I was told it will flake off the tires. That doesn't take care of the over spray on the window seals and bumpers though. They once again didn't bother to spray the rest of the key locks so they all match, and not even a month after the 2nd paint job, the rust on the roof is coming back through. Additionally, they didn't even put enough adhesive on the emblems when it was resprayed and one of them almost fell off on the road and would have been ruined (which I special ordered the emblems to go along with the new paint job). The whole reason I had it "sanded and painted" to start with was to stop the rust. If they couldn't have done that the first time, or 2nd time, they should have told me and saved me time and money. I know you get what you pay for and this place isn't a high end auto paint facility but I didn't even get what I paid for. I have 2 year warranty with them but what's the point of having it redone a 2nd time if they didn't even fix the problems on the 1st respray. Beware, the price is tempting but I'm tired of giving up my car for 5 days at a time twice now for them to fix something that should have been done right the first time, regardless of the price charged. Keep this bad business up and they will be out of business in no time. Buyer beware!!!!

HORRIBLE PAINT this paint WILL PEEL OFF in the first WEEK please save more money and get a better Paint job or go to another shop atleast if not you ll be throwing your money to the TRASH. I completely REGRET taking my Akura to this place they RUINED it.

They did decent job very good for the money and very shiny I will recommend this place to friends and had the Job done in 3 days. I'm soon going to bring my other truck

Zero stars Because they lie.First of we paid to have the truck roof and tailgate painted. We specifically told them to take the plastic top lip of the tailgate off to cover the area that lost the paint so that it does not rust. We paid more than to have the complete car painted just to have good customer care Gave them the truck on 02/13/2020 with a promise to receive it by the 15th.On the 15th, all was done but the lip of the tailgate. They expressed it was a misunderstanding and that it will be fix by the 17th.Called on the 17th and they told me they were out of paint that it will be done by the 18th.Called the 18th and they told me that they had painted it and it had come out wrong, that the paint had a bad chemical reaction.I went and picked up my tail gate on the 18thNothing was done to it it was full of dust and the lip was with the original paint with the areas missing the factory paint.Therefore, a shop that has no paint to paint a car by their words, or has paint that has bad chemical reactions is not worth trusting it. Especially when they say all this and have not even touched the thing to be painted!!!They took my money did not care for filling their part of the agreement and lied .

Econo did a fantastic job on my car! Jen the manager, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I have a 2000 Honda Civic and Econo made it look 15 years newer. Want to thank the prep guys and the paint guys for their great work. I put a pic on their website.

Worst experience. I went to pick up my car on 9/9/22. The paint job looked good, but my car symbols were not glued down good. My car was left dusty and dirty inside. Someone drove out all the gas I put in my car and killed my battery I just replaced last year. I'm out an extra $199. Don't trust these people.

Place did a awesome job . Bill and Marco are damn good at what they do very pleased with results.. truck was my dads.. I took it to them .. said I want it back original.. Marco even hooked me up with the pin strips

I brought in an 07 Toyota Corolla that needed a new paint job to cover up areas of chipping paint. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was amazed at the quality of service that Econo Auto Painting provided. I strongly recommend them to anyone needing paint or auto body repair work.

I took my boss here to get his truck painted. From the look of it I would never use this place myself. Painted over things they shouldn't ( like the emblem on one side but not the other). Bubbled in spots and not even a smooth coat. Looks almost textured......

I purchased a paint job in December, since then I have returned for a re spray more than 5 times. The most recent time the paint on my fenders has cracked in less than 3 weeks since the paint was applied. The manager in charge is a good guy but the quality of work I ve received is unacceptable.

Good customer service. Competitive prices. Mike took great care of me. I got a great paint job for the price I paid. Please know that your car will look great, but may have a couple small blemishes like mine did. I expected that with a 275 dollar paint job. Some of these people complaining on here obviously were not aware of the product they were purchasing.

The team at Lakeland store are all superb. They all care about the quality of work they put out! All of them! For a "cheap" paint job it is not "perfection" but for my needs...absolutely terrific job! very friendly and very willing to go out of their way to make a nice and friendly customer happy. If you are someone who expects a dealership job here, then go ahead and go to dealership and pay for it. But they did EXCELLENT work for my car and I will rave about them to whoever will listen!!

We are very pleased with our experience at Econo Auto painting, Lakeland store. They did an awesome job painting my Honda Accord. Amazing price and very quick turn around time. Staff was friendly and informative. Thanks for reviving my vehicle and making it look like new again.

My car looks AMAZING!! My cars paint was fading in a lot of places, had love bug damage on the front bumper and the whole car really did need to be painted but I thought it would be way too much. After talking with Mike, the best thing to do was just repaint the whole car but was trying to avoid that fearing cost. Once he told me how much it would be, I was shocked! It was much more affordable than I thought it would be. They were able to set me up with an affordable rental and a few days later I went back and my jaw dropped. I HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR! They did such an amazing job and I could not be happier. I drove here from Pasco county because a friend referred me and so glad I made the trip out there.Thank you so much for making my car look better than when I bought it! I've had it for about 10 years and for the first time in a long time, my baby looks gooooooood!

You get what you pay for. With that said I went with the $500 paint job with integrated clearcoat . 1st time they painted my truck had runs everywhere, Orange peel in the paint really bad, no gloss no shine. My wife said looked like someone spray painted it . So, I took the truck back spoke with the manager ( really nice did everything he could to make it right) he saw all of the runs in the paint, and had vehicle repainted. Brought truck back for repainting my truck was there for two weeks! Once I got my vehicle back still had orange peel in the paint so far I ve spent at least additional hundred dollars on supplies wax polish compound cutting compound buffing pads etc. just to try to fix the paint. No doubt this is the worst paint job I ve ever had. If it wasn t for the orange peel I would have gave them 4 or 5 stars. 2nd paint job as much much better than the 1st. But, still you get what you pay for.

Worst place to get paint. Vehicle has been there twice to be fixed. Second paint job was worse. Prep work is non existent. There's paint on my almost every bit of trim and my chrome bumper. Reached out to the area supervisor who is a bigger joke than the shop itself. According to the area supervisor it's a common practice to leave the vehicles unlocked in front of the shop on memorial Blvd.I won't even dabble into that but im pretty sure you know what happened there. Then he offered to fix it and said he'd contact me after the holidays last year. Well that year has past and yet to receive any calls. They make you pay up front so they don't have to worry about getting paid after ruining your vehicle.Update to response: Management and area supervisor was aware of paint issues. It has been in the shop twice and still came back with runs in the paint. The chrome bumper was scratched from prep work, there paint on the door handles, and almost all the trim has paint on it. Area supervisor was supposed to set up an appointment at the other location in winter haven and never got back with me. Econo still to this day does not want to correct the issues with paint or issue a refund.

I thought Econo in Lakeland gave me a fair price! The customer service was outstanding and my husband s 1979 F150 Custom is the exact color I asked for. Great job Guys! We love it! I will highly recommend you guys to anyone. Thank you.

Terrible lol I was told $400 on the quote and I agreed so we brought the vehicle in the next day and the same rep charged us $467 I let that slide. The rep told us the car would be ready the next day. We call the next day then he said 3 days. We came back three days later and the car was done. Upon looking at it, it appeared none of the vehicle was sanded properly and all of the chrome had been scratched. The fact is, the entire vehicle needs to be re-sanded and painted again plus new chrome plus there is orange peel effect on every square inch of the vehicle. I was looking for a cheap paint job done right... I don't have time for this now I have to drop my car off for another 3-4 days. How do they stay in business with such terrible terrible quality?

Tim @ Econo in Lakeland is the one I dealt with. Very professional & friendly service. Gave me a great rate on whole paint job & dent removal on my Toyota Tacoma. Everywhere else wanted to charge more then double of what Econo estimated me at. Dropped it off on a Monday and my truck was done by Wednesday. Great job & Great paint & Great price. Dents are gone. Truck looks new... Very happy with the service and if I need other vehicles painted or dent removal will most defiantly go to Econo in Lakeland. Highly recommend!

Mike and his staff are always friendly, professional and extremely helpful. They're friendly, knowledgeable and always takes the time to thoroughly explain the various in and outs of every vehicle we bring them to paint. You can t help but to feel that they truly care about their customers. You feel welcome the second you walk in . Every visit is a great experience. A place is only as good as the people in it.

Got my car painted here, guys were nice and car looks really good. Paint jobs usually come with a warranty if you find something you don't like about the car after it's painted, they will redo. I didn't need mine repainted but it was nice to know

Never go here....I bought a warranty for 3 yrs. My vehicle has been painted now 4 times within a year here. They manage to mess it up each time. Only a single stage paint at that. Ruined all my plastic on the truck and refuses to replace because they painted without even asking. Regional manager was involved only to not make much of a difference. Worst customer service I've experienced besides wal mart . Maaco would probably even do better. Complete waste of money and time. Over the past year they had my vehicle 1 month outta 12 . Seriously pay ano extant 100 or 2 to get better service and work. I say again. ..never go here. If it peels or flakes again in the next month or two I'm taking them to court. That's how upset I am
