They looked at my van for a buyers inspection, at the buyer request. After over two hours of inspecting the vehicle, the mechanic found a long list of issues and quoted over $4k to fix them. It didn't seem right since the van has low miles and not really that old.I brought the van to my mechanic, that I actually trust, to confirm these issues, and only two of them were valid. The repairs from my mechanic ended up being around $450, which included scheduled maintenance not even mentioned by Johnny's mechanic.When I read the quote from Johnny's, something didn't seem right. It felt as if they were trying to make up repairs there weren't needed to make money. The rates seemed inflated as well.I felt bad for the buyer that paid for this inspection. They did not do an honest inspection, and the buyer paid a lot for it. I would not recommend going here.

My transmission experience there was totally awesome. I made contact with Heather at the front counter, arranged to have my hummer H2 dropped off along with the transmission from streetsmart transmission service. When the transmission arrived I was contacted. I drop my vehicle off and in a matter of days my transmission was replaced. It s only been a week or so and I am enjoying my driving experience as I did when I first purchase my hummer H2 back in 2008. I don t know which technicians worked on my vehicle at the shop, however, they are gifted with awesome talent. Once again, I am truly appreciative and would recommend Johnny transmission as a go to shop for auto repair service.Service: Transmission

I had a pre-purchase inspection done for a used car in Lake City but I lived out of town. Johnny's Auto Repair was very accommodating and did the inspection and I gave them a long list of specific items I wanted checked out before I drove all the way to Lake City to purchase the car. They didn't give me any hassle. Of course, I paid for the extra labor time.Their inspection gave me peace of mind on my purchase. While they did visibly check off my checklist of items I asked to get checked outside of their standard pre-purchase inspection, I do wish they had a written report of their own standard pre-purchase inspection so I can see what they checked out but they stated they would've noted anything wrong. I would suggest they consider having their own inspection chrcklist printout to provide to customers in the future. Otherwise, this is a great group.Special shout out to Ashley (I believe she was the office admin and/or service advisor) especially for exceptional customer service, excellent communication, and respectful demeanor. Same with Heather. Thank you also to CJ and Rocky for doing my inspection.

The best place I could ve possibly went after my car Broke down. They not only fixed up my car, but drove me to places that I needed to go and made sure that they helped me with anything and everything that I needed.!

CJ allowed me to talk about the electrical issue on my Ford Edge. This courtesy much appreciated since after a new alternator and many batteries later, no solution to battery drainage problem. They investigated for many days to find the ground fault. They even let me have the car over the weekend - really nice. On top, the price was super reasonable. I recommended Johnny's to my friends.

Office staff was very friendly and waiting area was nice. The mechanic working on my vehicle was great. I went in for an alignment on a lifted jeep after doing some suspension work and he informed me that I was missing 2 particular adjustment bolts that were not on the jeep from the factory and since the lift realigned the front axel were important in doing the job correctly. Mind you, this was after 2 previous shops performed alignments for me on the jeep. He also tightened up a few that I missed tightening up. Even though I didn't get the alignment complete, this is a shop that I will make the drive to have things done that I can't personally do myself and all future alignments. Can't speak highly enough. Great shop.

My husband and I had just started a 14 hour drive from Georgia to Houston, TX when we realized we had a check engine light on. We stopped and checked and it was in need of an immediate fix as it would have overheated - needed to replace the thermostat in the engine. We called around to find a mechanic and found Johnny s was close to where we were. We called & explained we had to get to Houston same day and although they were very busy they fit us in. When we arrived we only waited 15 minutes before they started working on the car. They were friendly, professional and moved as quickly as they could to get us back on the road. The definitely went above and beyond and we would highly recommend for any of your car repair needs.Service: Engine repair

As many of us know, dropping your car off for any kind of repairs, can possibly turn into an unexpected and/or not a satisfactory experience. This is why I only use Johnny s. I ve feel comfortable taking my car in for, not only speedy and last minute oil changes, but for everything else. I ve never had a bad experience with any of the team members. As a matter of fact, I look forward to seeing them, for an education on my car needs and just a chat to catch up. Johnny s is a locally and family owned auto shop. My diesel Truck broke down otw to 1st Street music. Had the beast towed to Johnny's on main. Diagnosed promptly and repaired in a timely manner with Reasonable pricing. 1st time using and will mos def return. Repairs needed were explained well and the payment process was painless.

The best place around for honest work at a fair price. These folks work on an hourly pay rate, they don t need to sell you a bunch of parts that you don t need to make their commission. These folks just do a great job for a fair price and have never sold me anything I didn t need. I ll never go back to a dealership again.

Coming from out of town and having an issue with my coolant you believe it to be the worst, water pump. They diagnosed it to be something else and have reset my cost. They will send you quotes via email. This place is no longer foreign and is a place of trustful owner and mechanics

This was my first time using Johnny s and I will definitely go back. My car had a defective engine Johnnys replaced it and all the parts that go along with it. It was a major repair job and they not only fixed everything including my AC they kept me informed every step of the way. The owner is very kind and conscientious and so are the staff. We had a breakdown along highway 75.. and called Johnny's out of using Google.. what a wonderful repair shop!!.. the workmanship is wonderful. Even a few above and beyond repairs.. and the staff was so friendly and kind.. on an already busy day for the shop, they squeezed us in and had us back on the road in no time!!Huge props to the beautiful people who work there.. the desk girls were kind and friendly.. and the technician made sure we were safe to drive.. they even gave me help hooking up my trailer!!.. 5 star people !!Service: Auto water leak repair

The level of service and professionalism from this crew, at both locations, is the best I have ever received in 30+ years dealing with auto repair shops. They have an express garage for minor repairs right down the road and got me in and out with a honest diagnosis and a bill so low I felt ashamed accepting. I'm moving to Tampa and will be back here for service. Thank you Willie and Co. You saved me in more ways than one today.

After driving for about 6 hours on I-10 East, my car began making a clear and distinctive thumping sound. I didn't feel safe so I exited I-10 and drove to a convenience store in Lake City, Florida. I called my insurance provider to request a tow. The provider called back and shared that the most available tow would take about 3 hours. A few minutes later I received a call from someone, who I believe was contacted by my provider, and she suggested I call Johnny's Auto Repair. After speaking with a representative from Johnny's I drove about 8-10 miles from the convenience store and found Johnny's Auto Repair (LOL! I went about 10 miles in the wrong direction before turning around). JOHNNY'S AUTO REPAIR TEAM WAS AMAZING! Within 15 minutes I was told that one lug had broken off and the others were extremely loose. After receiving the news, I was immediately angry: I HAD 4 NEW TIRES PUT ON MY CAR THE WEEK BEFORE BY A WELL KNOWN COMMERCIAL TIRE COMPANY).The guys at Johnny's Auto Repair replaced the lugs and kit, and they also checked the other three tires as well.A special shoutout to a young man named C.J. He was professional, and he clearly explained the problem. C.J. spoke with confidence, and he assured me that they could complete the task and get me back on the road the same day.Interestingly, when I travel I do my best to prepare for the unexpected. But, when something actually happens there are a lot of unknowns one has to consider (food, hotel, cost...). After speaking with the folks at Johnny's Auto Repair the stress lifted, I was at ease, and I was confident it would all work out. I made it to my home and family safely, and I sincerely appreciate the team at Johnny's Auto Repair in Lake City, Florida!

Highly recommend! I called after being close to stranded on I-75 from Tampa heading to Atlanta. I called them and was kindly greeted and encouraged to bring my van in right away. They quickly disagnosed the problem, had the new alternator in stock and replaced expeditiously. I was able to return to my trip up north with minimal down time. I hope I don't need their services again, but if I do THEY would be my first call! Thanks for the amazing service and friendly staff!

They are great at all 3 locations. Willie was very nice. Not expensive and did my job quickly and efficiently. Would recommend them for any auto needs. Great company. Very friendly and work with getting you in one of their places to get your needs done.

They never return phone calls. I stopped by, gave all my information again, and never received a call. Apparently they do good work, but I guess I'll never find out.Update: received a call back. I was told they didn't call back because they lost my name but still had my number.I had asked them to change out 1 part in my 50 year old car. They came back and said, they would need to run diagnostics first to confirm it is that part that needs changing, for an extra $109.I'll pass, pretty easy to diagnose a 50 year old car with no electronics, especially when the owner is requesting what part to change.

Back in November 2020, I was traveling on I-10 on the way to Jacksonville, FL. My car was losing power. I went to Johnny's Auto Repair. They took my car right in and started working on it. The employees were very courteous, professional and honest. I cannot say enough about how nice they were. They replaced my alternator and got me back on the road without overcharging for the repair.

The guys at Johnny's went way above and beyond to get my vehicle fixed and get me on the road when I had unexpected car trouble while passing through Lake City. They did everything in their power to get me back on the road the same day. I highly recommend them for their ability to quickly and accurately diagnose/service my Jeep GCL and also for their customer service. They kept me appraised of the status of the repairs throughout the whole process. I can't say enough about them. Thank you to the whole team.

Went with a problem with the car. We were told what was wrong with the car by someone else. Come to $ind out instead of it costing 700 it was only 69.00 We had told them what we were told. But they checked out the car and said that wasn't the problem and actually fixed the car and it has ran smooth ever since. Definitely honest and Reliable workmanship. Have never went anywhere else for car problems. THANKS JOHNNY.
