Had an alternator replaced and chassis grounds checked. Appointment was easy to arrange and work was done in a timely fashion at the price quoted. Hard to ask for much more when you're from outside the area and picked a garage nearly at random.

Within two weeks of replacing my water pump and timing belt, @ $800, the radiator hose blew off because it wasn't tightened properly. Now months later, all of my belts have come off because Matt didn't properly torque the bolt holding the harmonic balancer. It came off while I was driving! The engine is destroyed and he refuses to make this right. Now I'm out the cost of a replacement motor... Will never recommend this place again.

This was probably 4 or 5 years ago but had to replace the fuel filter on my aun'ts f150 and was going to go to another shop to have it done when I called they tried telling me it didn't have one as i was literally staring at it so gave meridith a try and they fixed it for less then the cost of the tools i would of had to buy to do it myself, really smart effective and fair pricing mechanics. Please note one thing this is true for at least 90% of the mechanics out there, they just 'replace' a broken part there a lot of extra free complimentary things that do to make the labor worth your money, that is not on your receipt that places such as tire kingdom and quick lubes will dime and nickel you to death over, so before throwing out a complaint about the price ask them what extra they did just be prepared to sit there for 3hrs or bring paper cause its gonna be a list miles long.Update. He did way to much on my car and i mean several things you can tell another mechanic didnt do the best job on he re-routed so many things i don't even know a 1/10 of what he really did but all i know is he charged me 300 dollars less then the last shop and did 10x the work. The repair was a vacuum leak and water pump, and he charged less for all that then i got charged Just for the water pump at another shop. honestly he undercharges wouldn' be a complaint but it is a fact. Ever since Fred from Bielling Retired down the road in weirsdale, not had the best luck with any shop till now, matt diffinitely on the same level in my book.

My grandmother's car was having an issue where the car kept shutting down while driving it. It's been that way for months now. Between my mum, stepdad and I, we have brought the car in at least 4 times. We spent over 1,000 in repairs for the car to still be sitting in the driveway not working. My grandmother passed away just before Christmas and my mum and I were down here trying to take care of everything and we tried contacting Matt several times and would get no answers. We actually had to drive the car to the shop just to get him to talk to us. On our last attempt to get him to help us fix this disaster, he stated he was heading out for the weekend and couldn't help us, but that he would call my mum shortly with information on someone who could help us. He never called her. We were there for 3 weeks trying to see and care for my grandmother while she went from the hospital to hospice to passing away and dealing with her estate. Being over a thousand miles away from home, dealing with the death of a loved one and not having a working vehicle to get us to these places after spending more money than we should was beyond stressful. This place took advantage of an elderly lady. The fact that a gentleman we met in the Walmart parking lot was able to help us find out that the dealership is actually the only place that can help with the codes coming up and not this shop shows how much they lack in knowledge. Thank you for making an already hard situation even worse for us. And you can reply with some bull story to make yourself look good and us look like liars, but the fact of the matter is you know what you did was wrong, and nothing will change that.Service: General repairs & maintenance

He charged my 76 year old Mom $225 to replace her battery for her Tiguan. Do not have any work done here. Dishonest and taking advantage of the elderly.Update to the owner's response. NO you did not give me a quote for how much it would cost, and that is precisely my complaint. If you would have said it will be $225 because we only put in the most expensive batteries, I would have said no thank you. You put in the battery and presented the big bill. I asked why so much and you said you only put in the best batteries. At that point the work was already done so we just paid it. Here is some free advice. Many of your customers are elderly and on a fixed budet. For this reason you should also have cheaper batteries in addition to the most expensive ones and you should always give the customer the option of which one they want, the expensive one or the cheaper one. If you are honest with people, they will respond in kind and maybe give you a good review.

Verbal estimate for $450. Then was charged over the phone without seeing the bill $612 including a $40 shop fee ? All this to replace a fuel line halfway to the tank. Was supposed to replace the entire line I paid for with the parts but did not. Did not give me the rest of the parts I paid for. When I called back asking for a partial refund Matt refused and would not stop screaming at me so I hung up. Buyer Beware !

My daughter took a trip to Florida from Maryland and her timing belt broke when she arrived. Matt at Merideth auto really helped us out of a jam. They were professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I'm glad I had the car sent there and not to another location. They understood the urgent situation and worked with us to keep us informed of progress. They even topped off all the fluids and ensured the car would be safe to make the long ride home. Thank you!

My husband bought me a 1998 Lincoln Town car two years ago. Two months before we purchased it, the windshield wiper motor was replaced at this shop. $270ish, as I remember. Withing a few months, the motor was burned up, so we took it by to have a look. They did replace it, as the part had a warranty. They also replaced the 'modutator', and declared that the problem was taken care of for sure this time. We paid for the modulator and labor. Then, a few months later, the wipers began to slow again, and the motor burned up a third time. I was suspicious and insistant that the issue was not the motor at all, but some other problem, but, as I am a girl, I was looked at like I was in no way qualified to suggest such a thing, and assured that all connections were checked, and the problem would not recur. However, I was also told, if it happened again, not to come back there. This time was $340.Well, you guessed it. I called within weeks and said they were acting glitchy, the young man said the owner would call me back. Never did... The rainiest summer for years, and I haven't had wipers for months again. This time, they just died. No slowing down first, just turned them on one day and nothing. Fourth time in two years.I am frustrated. I have cried many tears. I have almost wrecked getting off of the road in flash floods. What makes it all worse, is that I've done research, and apparently there are lots of Town Cars that have had this problem. The blinker can cause it. Had I gone to a compassionate, reputable mechanic, surely he would at least give me a break and get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, I could have afforded the dealership's price after all! At least they would take responsibility...

Beware. This shop charged for a full tune up with 6 spark plugs, 5 coil plug boots, plenum gasket and ignition coil. A few weeks after this service was supposedly performed, a spark plug blew out. I took the car to another shop and they found that one of the rear plugs had popped out. They further found that only the front 3 plugs had even been changed. Anyone can change these front plugs in a matter of a few minutes. The real labor is removing the plenum and replacing the rear ones. They charged $352 for something that cost them a few dollars and hardly any labor, then lied on the invoice about what they actually did. I called the shop and explained what happened. The mechanic I spoke with said he would have the owner call me. Never happened. I have left voice messages for the past 3 days for the owner to call me. Haven't heard back. What a scam. Not sure how they stay in business with practices like this.

I will not go back as I was charged over $400 and thought the A/C was fixed, but just had the A/C replaced and it only cost $820 at another place closeby. Since the owner's son took over, I've been very dissatisfied with the service.
